This dentist in Belsize Park was recommended by a colleague, and I've been very happy with the service and results. I've returned for routine checkups and teeth cleanings regularly over the years, and have had a couple of extractions done there as well. Despite the unfortunate experience that is a molar extraction, it was made as pleasant as possible by the staff and the dentist, Stan Criticos. He has given me good advice, including options for teeth whitening, never overselling or pushing any one solution.

Its not like going to the dentist at all. Everyone is very pleasant and has a chat with you before commencing treatment. The girls always ask how my business is and its a nice personal touch that they remember. They always give honest advice and wont just whip out your teeth for the sake of it. No lectures from the hygenist either just a good clean up. Good value and highly recommended. Open early as well which suits my working hours.

So I gave it a try and the dentist was good. There are a few dentists in the practice, I have seen 2 of them and they are pretty good so I would assume the others have the same standard. My dentists was thorough, she kept reassuring me that it won't hurt when she was cleaning my teeth. She told me what needed to be done and she'll tell you what needs doing if there is any. The first time I was there she took an x-ray and she said she would call me when the results came out that day. It was really good to get her call and she said there was nothing wrong with my teeth and that I only need to go back in 6 months.

It's a small practice located near J3 of the M40 and I now attend for my regular 6 monthly check-ups. The surgery is always very clean and tidy, the waiting room is small so can get a bit crowded during busy periods, but they have a good selection of magazines to browse whilst waiting to go in for your appointment. Staff are always helpful, polite and friendly. The only doenside is the parking, which in non-existent. You have to park on the road and often end up having a bit of a trek to get there so leave plenty of time before your appointment.

The Dentist is conveniently located in The City and has super convenient hours. So, I gave it a go. I'm glad I did. I've recommended The Dentist to my friends and colleagues and all who have gone (I think almost all my colleagues go there now and some for serious dental work) are similarly happy. The hygenists are the best I've ever experienced. They take their time and couldn't be more thorough and efficient. The appointments are nearly always on time and there is no messing about. The staff is super friendly, helpful and capable. They've recently switched ownership and I do miss Tony, but the new guys seem good too. I've also recently visited the orthodontist in the practice. He is terrific and has done a great job on my teeth.

My previous dentist had gone wholly private, so I needed somewhere local quickly. It's not an NHS dentist, but rather an Independent dentist, so the prices and services arent as cheap as NHS - but are still very reasonable (compared to Private pricing anyway). The surgery is clean and well managed. Staff are friendly and the dentist always makes me feel at ease. She only does work when it is absolutely necessary too and doesnt do stuff for the sake of it. Seperate Hygienist services are offered too, and a special Saturday morning surgery is available for booking if you have trouble fitting an appt in during the week.
