Located opposite mount Martha beach this would be an excellent spot to have a few drinks and dinner on a summer's day.
The food was delicious with generous portions. For entree four of Us shares an antipasto platter and calamari. The antipasto platter with home made pesto had a great array of cured vegetables, meats and goats cheese served on a round board. The only thing that let this dish down was the bread, although plentiful I would have preferred a more rustic sourdough rather than sliced rye bread. This platter was so plentiful that we probably didn't need to order the calamari as well. They were lightly battered with pistachio crumbs in the batter and served on a bed if rocket and baby spinach with orange which rounded out the dish well although the salad did have too much dressing.
For main I had the lamb shoulder which came in a terrine covered in a rich tomatoe sauce and backed with bread crumbs and pesto. Not what I was expecting but still quite tasty although I did have to remove a lot of fat from the meat. I think the best digs was the barramundi served mash potatoes with cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze. It was fresh and well presented.
For desert we tried the sticky date pudding which was delicious and well suited to the cold weather.
