As a new parent, you can sometimes have a million questions or worries, but they have never once made me feel like I'm asking a "stupid" question. They take the time to listen, explain things thoroughly, and make sure we feel heard and comfortable. I always feel like my baby is being cared for with genuine compassion and attention. I appreciated his willingness to be helpful. He told me to have an ultrasound. I had the ultrasound at another hospital, and the result was sent to his office. I called the office yesterday and asked about the result of the ultrasound. I was asking to speak with the doctor directly, but I was not able to. A receptionist over the phone stated she talked to the doctor, and the result was "indeterminate." I asked her to explain what that means. She stated, "It means we don't know what the heck is wrong with you." Then I asked what else the doctor found in the result. She stated there is nothing she can say. I was disappointed that she was not willing to help me speak with the doctor directly regarding my test results. I called the hospital today again about some concerns that I had. A receptionist became irritated, and stated "The doctor has nothing to talk to you about that." I asserted the importance of speaking with my doctor. She did not listen. She became more irritated and insisted that the doctor does not need to speak to me. She finally stated she would let the doctor know about my call. However, she was very unhelpful and unwilling to assist me. When I explained to her the importance of this matter, she simply hung up while I was still speaking. I felt mistreated and disrespected by her rude and unprofessional behavior. My hope is the doctor is informed about this inappropriate and unjust behavior of his receptionist(s) and he can take appropriate actions to rectify this. As a patient, I have a right to speak with my doctor.

Very knowledgeable, sees everything going around so usually is "in the know" and is also soft spoken and a nice guy! He's usually able to quickly diagnose me when not feeling well - that's when and why I come here. In 2013 I came in with a mild sore throat I couldn't shake. Within 48 hours I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and seeing Radiation and Medical Oncologists. Later I learned many patients with my cancer are initially treated with antibiotics because of misdiagnosis. His proper diagnosis and speedy treatment arrangements may have saved me. Kudos to Dr. Friedman for that! Sometimes you can wait to see him longer than is appealing, but he's good and maybe that's why! For some reason I see more seniors here than any other age group but he does birth to death as far as I know. Hands down 1000% better than the new wave of walk-in clinics that feature higher co-pays and lots of nurses (APRN, RN, etc) but No M.D.'s!! Dr. Friedman's practice reminds me of the good old fashioned local family doctor that gets to know you and your family. I see HIM every time and also notice very little turnover in nurses and staff - another good sign.
