The Academy is run by Miss Carol she and her staff have the kids safety and security and the educational needs in hand. We get calls from around the world of military families that have heard of our Academy, and with their transfer back to Dyess, they want their children enrolled. It is truly amazing to hear of the world wide calls and the happiness of their enrollment. Rooms are age specific and designed for education. Great staff, gear facilities and a new covered playground with complete building surround to keep the kids safe. The place is huge and has everything you can think of. All brand new equipment and the place is clean (big deal to me). If you're in Abilene stop in and chat with the guys at the Fieldhouse. They will hook you up and get you started on your road to fitness and health or just pick up where you left off. You won't regret it. Abilene has a huge blessing by having this gem in their town. This school is a gem for the city of Abilene. My granddaughter has been attending St John's since…read morepre K. She is now in second grade and has just thrived there. She learned to read virtually overnight; however, what I have really noticed is how polite and kind she is to everyone. She is learning far more than the "three R's" at St John's. I live out of town and recently visited my family in Abilene. I went to chapel at St John's and then spent a few minutes visiting my granddaughter's class and a third grade class, taught by my daughter, who recently left public school teaching. I am a former teacher; my sister is a teacher. I had two aunts who were teachers, so I believe I can objectively say: St John's is a very special school.
