I understand there are due dates for tuition, however after trying several times to get a hold of someone to let them know it'll be late and no response it's frustrating. My child goes to school and her teacher will keep the lights off because she has a migraine. So now my kid is on the dark playing and learning. Then the director tells me well it seems like your kids been coming here for free. Um no, a late payment is still a payment. Baffling. I highly recommend your child go elsewhere. They don't even take the time to see if the students are learning what they are supposedly teaching. Spend your money and time somewhere else. I wish I didn't have to give a star at all.

With all of the stories we see on the Internet, our guards instantly go up to protect our little ones. From the moment we attended the open house, we knew this was the right place for our son. The teachers took time to engage with us while giving a tour of the facility. With the pandemic, we were still hesitant on a start date. After sharing my concerns, the Director assured us of the safety protocols in place and let me know when I was ready, they would be ready! Fast forward to now. Our son has been attending since October 2020 and his development has been a pleasure to watch. There's a few interactions that have stood out for me. First, there was a day when my son was fussy and didn't want to enter the classroom. After some coaxing, he proceeded over the threshold with his teacher. I was entering my car and noticed he was still crying. Within seconds, his teacher picked him up and gave him cuddles to soothe him and stop crying. At a previous center, they would let me cry it out. This warmed my heart. The second good observation was just a week ago. I was approached by his teacher encouraging me to move him to full-time care because she noticed signs of regression. We, yes WE, discussed next steps and how we could make this an easy transition for him. Part of the challenge is he's not fully potty trained, but they work with him daily to get him there. If you're looking for a place to send your little one, look no further. Your child will be cared for and prepared for kindergarten. You will be treated like family here. Oh...and one other thing...the weekly newsletters are adorbs! You get to see the littles playing together and read about what they're working on for the week. It's a great way to provide reinforcement at home. Something else...I love the app! You get notifications with your child's activity and pics. Look no further! TLE-Elgin is the place!

My daughter is 4.5 now and I can't imagine her being anywhere else. From the first interview, everything about Goddard has been wonderful. I remember thinking during the interview it didn't seem possible that the director, Sue, really knew each kid individually like was being shown. I just didn't think a sense of care and community like that was possible given our previous experiences, but over time, I've seen that's just the way they do things here. That level of care is the way here at Goddard. The staff are knowledgeable and kind, and they know most if not all of the students by name whether they are in their class or not. My daughter has cycled through a few classes as she's aged and every single one has been great. She absolutely thrives at Goddard and loves everything about it; it's one of her favorite places to be. She has learned so much in her time here - growing leaps and bounds both intellectually and emotionally. They do so many fun activities and she asks me every morning what fun thing is in store that day - especially in summer! School leadership puts so much thought into fun and adventure for the kids. My daughter is well known, appreciated, safe, and loved, and we couldn't ask for anything more. She comes home every single day excited to tell us about her day, and excited to go back the next. She has one year left before kindergarten, and I'm honestly already heartbroken. If Goddard still offered kindergarten here, we would sign her up in a heartbeat. If we ever have more kids, enrolling them in Goddard will be one of the easiest decisions we'll make.

Before the tour I had spoken to them and told them that my son was in speech therapy. They were aware and said this wouldn't be a problem. When we came in to go through the paperwork the director told me that my son would not do well at their school and that he would need one on one care that they couldn't give, therefore he would "slip through the cracks". After observing him for 5-10 minutes she stated that she believes he is autistic and his mannerisms were all things that a child with autism demonstrates. She went on to give me pamphlets of places for him to get tested and schools for children with autism diagnosis. I let her know that the pediatrician had never once had a concern for autism and that he just had the speech delay. I left crying and embarrassed by the way we were treated. My son now goes to a new school and is thriving. He talks all the time and again has not been diagnosed with autism. I would never recommend this school to anyone. I believe they only want certain children and families who will boost the image of the school.

This is absolutely an environment that fosters learning, growth, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Our oldest child went through the private Kindergarten at Primrose and the impact this singular decision will have on his future far exceeds anything we could have hoped for. He got more than a foundation at Primrose- he got a solid education and a skillset that will have a lifelong influence. Upon graduating from the Primrose private kindergarten program, he went on to public school where he is in their kindergarten (we didn't want to push him ahead to 1st grade as we wanted the transition to elementary school to be easier on him). We have learned that he is not at a kindergarten reading level- he is at a SECOND GRADE reading level! Not only that, but we have been informed that of the 10 children that graduated from Primrose last year (either from the pre-K or Kindergarten program) and then went on to attend our same public elementary school, ALL TEN children are above grade level for reading. They are advanced enough that they are having to be pulled from their regular classroom reading time to work with a teacher that can teach them phonics/reading at the level these children are already at. There are only 2 non-Primrose children in their elementary school that are also being pulled for advanced phonics/reading skills. Furthermore, we have been informed that our son is also advanced in his math skills, and he will be pulled from his regular kindergarten math coursework to focus on more challenging math curriculum that more closely meet him where his skills lie. Now I would LOVE to take credit for his achievements. I would love to tell you that mom and dad taught him all that he knows. But that would be dishonest of me. We owe all of this development to Primrose- to the curriculum that they employ, to the safe and nurturing environment that they provide, and especially to the teachers and staff that work day and night to give these children a head start in life. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Primrose- they go above and beyond for their students and the community in everyway possible. THANK YOU PRIMROSE!

My daughter was attending a child care facility and she was learning at a very fast rate. I was very impressed with the staff there, but then when she turned three, everything changed. Her learning sort of plateaued and I didn't really realize what was going on for the longest time. Then when I finally figured it out, I decided to do something about it. Thankfully, Primrose was just about to open and they gave me the tour and the sales pitch. The biggest difference about Primrose vs other child care centers is that Primrose isn't child care, it is a school. Learning is the top priority for the children, not just supervised play time. As soon as my daughter started, it was apparent how big of a difference Primrose was going to make in her life. She spent pre-k and private kindergarten at Primrose before moving onto public school for first grade. My son had spent all of his early childhood development at Primrose from 15months through pre-k before moving onto public school for kindergarten. He is doing phenomenal in school and has a real thirst for learning; something I believe he developed at Primrose. Businesses like to say that the highest form of flattery a customer can provide is referrals and even with my kids no longer enrolled at Primrose (though they will be for summer camps), I still tell everyone who asks about local child care. And yes, I always correct them that Primrose is not a daycare, rather a school. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Primrose and the impact they have made on not only my life, but my children's lives.

It was important for me to do the research all the schools and even talk to parents that had children in the school before I could make a good choice. There are a number of preschool options in this area, including public, Christian, and places like KinderCare. None of these options provided optimal class sizes, and through my investigation I came to see that the methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori were critical to the development young children. I was thrilled to find Children's House Montessori School where my children received specialized made-for-them scholastic development. While my children are both still very young, other parents with children that have gone through Children's House Montessori School explain that children leave with above average skills and the confidence to use them. Very grateful for the school, program, and exceptional teachers that love their work and their students.
