As a side, I ordered the potatoes which I thought would be more like Greek potatoes and the plate came with potato chips. The fish was good, but I probably would not order it again. They've earned another star because the waitress was friendlier and the sandwich was OK. So, I tried this again after my last dismal review. They have a special of a grilled chicken sandwich so I ordered that. The order came with potato chips and I had a side of their grilled potatoes. I am so sad that this review is not as good as my last one. The employee at the register was anxious to take my order and did not listen when I had questions. I finally had to say that I have questions because all the heard was "beef". What I wanted to know is if I could get the gyro disassembled. I prefer to eat the meat and pita separately because I just don't eat that much bread. She asked someone who assured me that this could be done. (If it couldn't, I would have been perfectly happy going next door. It was delivered completely assembled and the person just walked off without a word. I don't know why but this saddened me. So, I started to eat it as it was and the meat had gristle through it- and I don't mean in just 4-5 pieces. I'm not sure how you quality control that unless you actually cut the meat yourself. I felt a bit let down because I had tipped well before the food was delivered. The restroom was clean and I appreciate that. There was no salt and pepper on the table but the delivery person (same as cashier) didn't ask if I needed anything. I don't know if I will be back.

We parked in the parking lot and entered the restaurant to order food bowls and wraps. We chose from several bowl options, including the Chicken Wrap, Kebab Bowl, Grilled Chicken Bowl, Smoked Salmon Bowl, and for dessert, Baklava. We took our seats at the cafe and our order arrived in 10 minutes. The bowls were delicious and refreshing, giving us the protein needed for our journey. The smoked salmon and grilled chicken were especially noteworthy, and we loved them both. Even our toddler enjoyed the food, and he highly recommends Mediterranean Cafe.

The Greek fries that came with the Gyro combo were very good as well. We ate inside, but they also have a drive-thru. We will definitely be back when we are in town again!

I went on a weekend and there were definitely a lot of students working, but they all seemed really friendly, and one in particular seemed like he'd worked there longer and was really focused on doing a great job. The food was really good and exactly as I expected it. It was actually really good and I wanted to try this place again before I left town. I tried to go back a week later, but they were very randomly closed for maintenance. I tried for a third time to get dinner and the service was terrible. I came inside, they have a bell that rings when the door opens, I could hear people behind the counter and I saw someone at the drive-through waiting for their food so I thought I would patiently wait. When the worker came to give food to the drive-through, they did greet me. Then they yelled to the people in the back and no one came to the counter to help her. She then walked to the back for a moment, came back to the counter, but told me she would have to take the next drive-through person before she took my order. Long story short, I decided to leave and go somewhere else. I could hear multiple people in the kitchen area. The person I did see was very frustrated and asked for help but I didn't see the other two people at all. they are definitely working out some kinks, so I'd give them some time to sort things out if you live in the area. Of course, if you want to just go to the drive-through, apparently they prioritize those people so that might be the best route.

I have now been multiple times and I get the chicken Shawarma pita exactly how it comes because they put lettuce, tomato onion, tzatziki sauce, and feta cheese and they don't charge you for every single crumble or topping. I also get the french fries that are really well seasoned. I love french fries so I haven't tried the pita fries because I'm a potato girl. They have a really good hummus. That's a nice addition if you want to dip your fries, but I imagine it would be really good in with the pita fries. The owner is there when we go for lunch and he's really nice. They seem to have taken all the recipes from a previous business owner and everything is spot on that. I have tried. Trust me I have a lot of experience with Greek food so I'll tell you when it's good and this is great.

I tasted their food at Cleaver and Cork and had to stop by for a meal. Their fries reminded me of the Greek fries that are at the Greek food festival here in town. The chicken shawarma and rice dish looked very unassuming, BUT the taste is spot on and definitely homemade. I also had the hummus which was as delicious as I remember from the food festival. I definitely will return.

Staff was kind and friendly. Patient with any questions. Started with the black bean cakes. They were a great portion and so delicious. Then shared a salad and a fish entree over jambalaya rice. Of late we have had some success getting here during their lunch hours which has reminded me of just how good they are. The menu changes some pretty regularly so there are new ideas to try over time. There also are dishes that have stood the test of time that will always be present. The rainbow trout is one of those and you will never go wrong ordering that. Always delicious. Otherwise have at the several choices that may appeal to your taste. I doubt that you won't like it. The location is a converted mini market. I am remembering that the first restaurant conversion was a classic diner that was good for breakfast but Kool Beanz has been here for a long time and thriving. Some of the best seats in the house can actually be on a stool at the counter watching the chefs ply their trade. There's an additional large dining room at the end of the building and they have created a nice outdoor space as well. What may be hard to come by when they are busy is a parking space. Service has always been friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable considering the creativity that is involved. You will pay more at dinner which is why we love to catch them at lunch.
