In my experience, many…read morebeauticians have an idea of what you want and despite what you tell them they are going to cut your hair the way they want with not listening to you. Usually, my hair is not cut short enough for my taste. Asking for a "high and tight" cut will typically get you a blank stare. I found Old School Barbershop on Yelp and immediately saved it to my favorites. I visited on Monday but the store was closed to my disappointment. The hours on the door are blank for Monday's so not sure if they are open or not but on the Monday I arrived they were closed. I returned on Wednesday and only had a short wait as the barber was finishing up his last customer. The gentleman who cut my hair is not a staff member but was filling in for the owner who was away for a family visit. My toes look fantastic and they didn't try to pressure me into any upgrades that I simply didn't need (which is a common theme these days unfortunately). My friend's nails came out fantastic, they were exactly what she had wanted. She is also incredibly happy with the service she received. The facility itself looks great, very classy with lots of marble and beautiful chandeliers. It was also super clean and didn't smell of a nail salon which is fantastic because I have a hound nose right now. Overall I am super happy and definitely plan on returning.
