I was told I had been sent a notice (which I never received). I would have given 5 stars, but sadly probably cannot afford the care here anymore.

However, they made an administrative mistake and they refused to acknowledge it (I'm sure this is for legal reasons, but this is a bummer because I just wanted an apology, not even my money back). They assured me my last treatment was in network, and I planned for it to be. When I left the office for the last time I paid my copay, and they confirmed that I had nothing else to pay them; I planned to no longer be a patient with them. However, that apparently was not the case, and I was already out of network during my last treatment, and I had more to pay? I ended up paying half a thousand dollars for not knowing this. Even, when trying to reach my insurance company and requesting for the coverage they said would be sent to me (it wasn't) they will not offer to pay the amount this dental company is asking for, they will only give me $250. When I called them, I tried to have a conversation with Dona where she refused to acknowledge any mistake or sympathy to my situation and constantly shifted the blame on to me. I even took ownership when she accused me that this was because I didn't communicate enough, after which she still chose to not acknowledge or take any accountability over the situation. They offer great dental services and if you plan on pursuing dental service with them try to get everything in writing beforehand, so this doesn't happen to you. Dona if you are reading this, I have no ill will against you and I'm not trying to scam your office. Why would I when I've made every payment in the past? Dr.Norbo please work with your office to make sure this doesn't happen to a patient again, please hold them accountable. Please be precise with your patients when you are dropping their plan, or when a patient plans on leaving and you assure them there is no further bill. It's unethical to have patients be the middleman and pay for the mistakes of professional dental/medical services and insurance companies.

I opted out of their text messages because they are so excessive. The receptionist gave such a hard time because I opted out. Also, I received an email to confirm my appointment which I accepted. Been to dentists from NYC (really good), to Chevy Chase Md (overpriced and not so good), NC (good), and many in between. For the past 4 years I've been a patient of Dr Tim Smith at Purcellville Dental. Dr Smith's Purcellville office is first rate. Clean. Good vibes. Cutting edge technology. The staff very nice; especially MJ, the good Dr.s' assistant who was cordial, professional, and most importantly MJ knows her stuff. These folks are pros, and at the top of their game. The two primary factors that matter the most to me are the dentists competency and price. Without question, Dr Smith is the best dentist I have ever been to. That's 60 years of dentists. Dr Smith is at the top of his game. Extremely thorough, methodical, and he goes that extra mile to ensure the patient's total comfort and at the same time getting the mission accomplished successfully. He is currently treating me for an implant replacement. His fees are competitive, reasonable. You're getting top dentistry for incredibly decent prices. In summary, I can't give a higher recommendation for Dr Smith and his staff. The highest Competency. Cutting edge technology. Relaxed, hygienic, atmosphere. Great staff. Reasonable pricing. It's why I travel from N Bethesda to Purcellville. They're that good. You won't be disappointed.

But since the reviews were so good, I decided to give this doctor a go. Dr. Zarrinfar was very kind - I saw him in Ranson and the location was clean and tidy. His colleagues are also very nice. However, Dr. Zarrinfar determined I needed hard plaque removed from my teeth, so I allowed him to do so. This process was some of the worst pain I have ever felt at the dentist, and I can confidently say that he was not gentle with my teeth. It was certainly not a procedure he should have done without novocaine. He also let the pick/tool (ejecting with water) he was using in my mouth get so hot that it burned the skin on my lip, leaving a mark. It took about 4 minutes for it to cool down enough to be useable after how hot it had gotten. Afterward, he told me I would need to come back in 4 weeks to have more plaque removed, as well as get several cavities filled. I told him that what I had just experienced was painful, and that because of my anxiety (specifically around needles), I'd prefer if he would provide nitrous oxide for my next appointment. He told me he would not do that, and simply 'does not accommodate' patients with anxiety. He said he could refer me to a pediatric dentist if I wanted (I am a full adult). Every doctor retains their right to deny care, but I was very upset when I learned I would have to find a new dentist because of where I live being rather desolate. Overall, I could've definitely had a better experience. I am not sure of the reason why Dr. Zarrinfar refuses to provide mild sedation to patients with anxiety, but that will be the reason I don't return. However, if sedation is not something you worry about, I could recommend trying this dentist. The previous good reviews give me hope that the tool/pick error was a mechanical mistake. But not sure.
