I saw him twice, maybe three times. He added diagnoses to my chart with things that he didn't test…read morefor, nor did I advise him that I had been previously diagnosed with. Refused to prescribe a medication when I couldn't get ahold of my specialist. I let that go because it was a controlled substance. I then went to him for night terrors that were waking me up at least 15 times a night, for three weeks. My new patient appointment with Sleep Medicine was not until a good bit out so I could not consult with them. I was in complete tears in the examination room because I was so tired and emotionally distraught from lack of sleep. He requested I reach out to my psychiatrist. I had already done that and my psychiatrist at the time was extremely unreliable in reaching back out to me, which Dr. Vickers was made aware of multiple times in the past as well as communicating that during the appointment. He then told me he would prescribe me a medication (A specific one that I will not name here) to help with the night terrors if my psychiatrist did not reach back out by the following week. I waited and reached out to my psychiatrist every day that entire week and got no response. I then messaged Dr. Vickers on the portal and updated him and requested for the medication to be prescribed as agreed. He responded stating that the medication would not be for night terrors but for another condition that I was already being treated for. I responded to him that I did not want to add more medication on for that condition as I felt I was already on the correct medication for that treatment and that I needed something to assist with the night terrors that we discussed during my appointment. I then also expressed my frustration (not aggressively at all, very professionally as I work in a hospital as well) with his care, or lack of it, due to multiple events, outside of the ones from above, that needs of the patient were not met. I even expressed that maybe we do not align as patient and doctor. This was then met with a response, directly quoted from the portal, "The length and rambling below message is you need to be under the psychiatrist's care." Aside from his horrendous grammatical errors that are present in all communications from him in writing, he was very efficient with responding in a timely manner as opposed to calling the office. During all this, I reviewed my chart notes from previous visits. I found the incorrect diagnoses and that he also noted that I was a "very poor historian" of my own health. I requested that the incorrect diagnoses and the comment be stricken from my record, that did not happen. After his response I filed a formal complaint with Patient Relations. They were very quick to reach out via phone. They reviewed my portal messages between Dr. Vickers and I and submitted the complaint to the correct people. I did hear from multiple people in regards to it and keeping me updated on the status. I was then informed that Dr. Vickers had stated that he recommended for me to see a psychiatrist in Clayton that I had never even heard of, which was simply untrue. I informed the person of this that I spoke with. They did let me know when the investigation was over and that it was handled. They could not tell me how, which I was completely fine with. My significant other had an initial appointment already set up and the other primary care that he preferred was not scheduling until February so he went ahead with the appointment with Dr. Vickers, as he needed to be seen due to multiple symptoms and conditions. When they took him in to the examination room I remained in the waiting room as I did not want any conflict or to make things awkward. They then proceeded to, first, tell Dr. Vickers that the patient was my significant other, to which was heard in the examination room from the outside with the door closed. Good to note, nobody except for my mother, is on my HIPAA or Emergency Contact list. A staff member then commented about how I "must like them young" because of the five year age difference between my significant other and I. I'd also like to add that during my first appointment, the same staff member made a remark that her daughter will only date "black men" and proceeded to tell me that she "didn't have any problem with that" which I just let go as it made the environment a little uncomfortable. So that comment about me liking them young was both ironic and unprofessional. I also updated my report with Patient Relations to reflect this. I will end this by saying all my providers, with the exception of my psychiatrist, are with St. Lukes. I have multiple specialists. They all are beyond fantastic and go above and beyond for me and I truly cannot thank them enough, which I did express to Patient Relations. Sorry for the long review but I honestly felt it was necessary to include as factual events surrounding my experience with Dr. Vickers.

Positives: I like Dr…read moreSutter. He seems to be a thorough dr and when I get to see him, I am satisfied. Negatives: #1 Mercy has their Drs over scheduled. They have no problem making me wait over an hour past my appt time to be seen, but when I was late by 15 minutes, they made me wait 2 hours to be seen because I wasn't "on time." #2 they only have one phone line to the office with multiple Drs and staff members. Good luck getting through when you really need it #3 if you are sick and don't have an advance booking, you will likely need to go to urgent care because they have the Drs so overbooked #4. Good luck getting a message back within the same day even when it's urgent.

This review is in reference to my father's doctor Daniel Stahl MD at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine…read moreon South Lindbergh. I dropped off FMLA paperwork on December 14th and did not hear back from this office until December 26, 12 days later. Jennifer who called me stated that it usually takes 7-10 days. Because I was busy helping my father with his illness I did not have the time to follow up......but luckily for the doctor by the time Jennifer called me back my father had passed. Thanks Doc.......in my opinion this office is not timely when folks are in need. Cannot say if this Doctor even saw my father when he was in the hospital but my father stated that he did not. I would give zero stars if I could, just to adequately represent my frustration.
