Passage Immigration Law - Erick Widman immigration attorney in Portland Oregon

    Passage Immigration Law

I truly feel lucky to have found Passage Immigration Law! My…read moregreen card case was both minor and complex. It was minor because I had DIY-ed my green card petition and only needed an immigration law firm to help me submit the I-485 adjustment of status application. I initially compared several law firms. One firm in Beaverton initially said they could take my case, but later informed me that they only accepted marriage-based immigration cases and not other types. Really? I suspect the real reason was that they didn't see much profit in my case--just as I had anticipated from the beginning. Later, I found Passage Immigration Law on Google, where they had hundreds of five-star reviews. It turned out to be absolutely the right decision to have them handle my case. Communicating with Henry and his team was efficient and smooth from start to finish. I believe Henry has many clients, yet he always remembered the details of my case clearly and provided highly valuable advice. My questions were always answered promptly. From the time I first contacted Passage Immigration Law to the moment I received my green card, it took about six months. Throughout the entire process--including consultation, interviews, document preparation, submission, and the final interview--Henry consistently provided professional and patient assistance. Working with him made me feel like I was his only client. From my experiences dealing with multiple law firms, I can confidently say that Passage Immigration Law is the most professional and dedicated firm I have ever encountered.

Thank you for your dedication and support! Pierre

We looked everywhere for a good attorney, but all the local immigration attorney's offices in our area were too high priced for our budget, as we are both students. When we called and set up our first appointment with Affordable Immigration, we met with Yanira and Mr. Miller. My wife and I were immediately impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and their price for services was unbeatable and affordable for our budget. Yanira guided us through the process with ease. She truly made this somewhat stressful experience into a less daunting event, with her great sense of humor and professional experience. She kept in contact with us after we submitted our application, giving us updates about length of time till the interview, as everything was slowed down by the COVID-19 crisis. She was amazing, and my wife and I are grateful that she was our case manager. Mr. Miller is a fantastic attorney, he is professional and witty, he has a lot of experience and wisdom, and it shows. During our interview preparations, we sat down with Veronica. Veronica is a detail master. She ran over all the details of the interview, what to bring, what to expect, where to strategically sit, and so on. I seldom have come across someone that put such a fine-tooth comb emphasis on process. Her advice and detail-mindedness paid off in the interview, and thanks to the hard work of Yanira, Mr. Miller, Veronica, and the entire staff at Affordable Immigration, my wife was granted a 10-year green card. I cannot recommend Affordable Immigration enough. Thank you so much!

Thankfully though I found Jeff who agreed to take the case, charged a reasonable price, and got started right away. He was honest and upfront and explained that it was a difficult case, but that he was confident he could get my husband home. He never sugarcoated the situation, but was compassionate, professional and efficient. He was extremely well informed on the ever-changing laws and procedures, and he gladly answered all of my questions along the way. I never felt like a number on a file, but rather every time I called Jeff and JJ knew me by name, knew what was going on with my case, and treated me with courtesy and respect. After 5 years Jeff, JJ, and the rest of their professional team finally got my husband home. It was such a wonderful victory and I have them to thank for it. Everyone knows the immigration process is tedious, confusing, and frustrating, but Jeff and his team make it possible. They really are the best of the best!!

We were quoted 13K, which we agreed upon. That amount was surpassed greatly. It was evident that copy and paste was used for the majority of legal documents. The work was not done by a lawyer, but a legal assistant. There were spelling errors, delays, poor communication and failure to mail documents. On one invoice was a 30 minute charge to mail a letter. Maybe they walked to the mailbox??? The final straw was this letter. There is no more money in the estate. Fitzwater received over $20,000 for the guardianship and simple probate. They were paid from the estate. The conversation with Jonathon today involved him telling my husband that Oregon Law states that legal fees were to be paid before other creditors. My husband was NEVER informed of this law and paid outstanding medical bills with the little amount that was left in the estate. Jonathon also stated that "he talked with the partners about waiving the unpaid invoice and they declined". Unreal, the firm got over 20K for the "work" in the case. Do not hire them unless you have unlimited funds.
