We bought a costly engagement ring and wedding band from a large national jewelry store. We immediately brought it to Vince for a formal professional appraisal. That was when we discovered we paid way too much for the rings. Vince then proceeded to educate us, and we returned to the store of purchase. They offered us an apology and made the sale right by giving us a substantial credit off the total purchase price. The new amount was in line with Vince's appraisal. Long story short is that Vince saved us a lot of money. Thank you, Vince!!!

Vince LOVES sharing information about all of these things; his desire to help his clients is palpable. And it is fun, so convivial is Vince. In addition, Vincent's reports are beautiful and detailed. I came away with a greater appreciation for my pieces. Vince helped me by giving advice regarding some bad purchases that I made overseas, which I used to negotiate a partial refund; needless to say, I am grateful beyond measure for this. Vince does not trade in jewelry (neither sells nor buys commercially). Due to this, as well as to all of the above, I trust him and his advice implicitly. The time flies by every time we are together! If you have pieces that will regret losing for monetary reasons, getting them appraised is a must. If you have pieces that you love (and which you think are worth appraising), get them appraised for yourself. You will both enjoy the appraisal process with Vince, and come out smarter following it.

I was told not to worry and that there would be folks to help me as soon as I pulled in. True to their word, I had plenty of help from the staff with dock lines. They eased me up to the fuel dock so I could top off my tanks and then very considerately helped pull me into a slip that easy to access, even with my limited steerage. Everyone was super friendly and helpful right from initial call to my departure for Annapolis. I highly recommend Summit North and if I lived in the area, I would definitely use them all year. To walk around this place and see the size of it, it's offerings and the number of vessels there, you'd think they wouldn't give me the time of day or even know that I or my little boat existed. Couldn't be further from the truth. Anytime I call and say my first name and that I have the little Chris, they know who I am and Tom (and the other Tom) are always more than willing to do whatever I need (living in California now). When Sandy hit, I was petrified that my boat was lost. She was safely tucked away and again, when I called they knew just what to say. I've recently had my boat hauled to the west coast and upon leaving, Tom made a lap around the marina to make sure that nothing was left behind from her various storage locations and the machine shop. I can't recommend these guys enough, nor can I imagine what kind of service someone would receive if they had a sizable and operational vessel in a slip! A review I left on yellow pages in 2008:…read more http://www.yellowpages.com/newtown-square-pa/mip/cygnus-environmental-service-1383967 Use at your own Risk. Prices from Cygnus were the cheapest I found for duct cleaning. That being said, I think that was the only bright spot of this company. I had my ducts cleaned and it basically made my whole house dusty and floors dirty around the vents. The service is not as thorough as I liked it to be. I thought that all vents would be taken off to render the service, but it was not done so. They had a tube/device the size of a brakeline (on car brakes) that would fit throught the slits on the vents. They assured me that this would be enough. Looking at the vents from the outside, it definitely could have been better. The company pride itself as being a part of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and follows it's guidelines for cleaning, but I guess removing vent covers to clean is not a requirement. After the service was done and I paid, I had a problem with my unit (fan constantly on) that I asked to have one of the guys sent out again to take a look at it. The owner asked me if everything on the thermostat says off. I tell him, "yes." He then tells me that it might be another problem with the thermostat or the unit that he and his guys would not know how to fix. I tell him it might be something small or one of the guys flipped a switch that we are unaware of. Well, basically he tells me it's my house and I should know what's wrong with it. He got irritated that I'm asking for him or one of his workers to come look at it. Keep in mind that the one of the reasons I hired this company other than price is because they were local. Long story short, he tells me to call him the next morning. I ask him, "When?" He tells me, "Anytime," but I knew in his voice this was not going to happen. I finally figured out the problem with the fan being on and there was a switch on the unit. I called the owner the next day to tell him no need to send anybody out. He never picked up his cell phone and never returned the call. Very unprofessional and needless to say, I will never use Cygnus again.
