Soundproof has the worst communication I've ever experienced. I had to call them multiple times just to get basic updates, and every time I was told I'd get a call back by the end of the day which never happened. Not once. They don't return calls and obviously have bigger Yellowstone club and Big Sky plans in their budget. I have a giant dodge truck that is really high up, backing up was really tough especially since most cars are much lower than i can see. I also wanted navigation because i've been lost in other cities when i travel. I really should have written this review about a year ago when i had the work done. Tim helped me tremendously and even rewired the ignition so the unit didn't shut off every time i turned on the glow plugs for my diesel truck. It took me a while to get used to it and now i love the stereo and all the perks with being able to see backing up which was very stressful for me. They basically added a lot of the features of a new truck to an older truck that didn't have them and the stereo rocks! The next vehicle i purchase will come here immediately once it's in my possession. I also would like to state that this review wasn't solicited, this business is on the level. read more

One of the worst experience I've ever had with a car audio installation and DSP tuning. Extremely poor to zero communication skills. Shop is a mess and not organized. Front desk employee has zero knowledge about the audio equipments or anything, every single time I and other customers had questions or concerns (he had to get the technician on the back). The back working area is a mess, dirty and honestly no idea how any work gets done with all the Filthiness. I give them the benefit of doubt a couple times and give them the opportunity to reach back to me some information that I need to input on my DSP that the technician didn't input. The speakers install where install with 3m tape around the wires like we back on the 80s or 90s. A complete disappointment and now I will have some other facility fixed everything up and double check the install they did. Do your research, saved your money and go somewhere else. The place could be a gold mine if they had good management and hire some new personnel that professionals on their crafts and take pride on their service to customers. read more

This shop will take FULL ADVANTAGE of you. I spent $6250 on an install that went over schedule 3 separate times. I was out of a vehicle for almost 3 months. I also spent nearly $1500 on product in this store. They used PLUMBERS TAPE to secure a box for 3 10s. I even had several other audio shops look over the install, and they all noticed many shortcuts. They have had several chances to make it better and have failed to do so. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! read more

They will get the job done. The guys who work there are friendly and will help you get what you need done. I was provided with multiple options for a few of the projects I've had them do for me. Unfortunately, the owner isn't as personable. It took me 3 months and multiple call backs (me calling them) to get my first project even scheduled in their books. After that I just went to the guys working in the shop and had no issues with my second. Have gone back a few times to get my vehicle stereo updated with no hiccups. Would make it a 5 star review if it wasn't for the owner blowing me off so many times. read more

While other reviews talk about how professional and helpful Sound Pro is, we had a very different experience. We brought our car in to have a backup camera installed (along with a display built into the rearview mirror) and were told it would take a couple hours. Big mistake. After a few hours went by, we called to make sure everything was going okay, and they told us the car was only then ready to go. Once we went over to get our keys, we went out to the parking lot only to discover that the windshield was now cracked on the driver's side. Not spidered out from some kind of impact, mind you -- more like it suddenly had a few long stress cracks in that corner. Unfortunately, the manager at Sound Pro shrugged the situation off and claimed that it was that way when we dropped it off. (It most definitely wasn't.) All the manager would do is get the installer out from the garage to talk about what he saw; he wouldn't even look at it himself. Talk about behaving cowardly. Unsurprisingly, the installer wouldn't admit to damaging the windshield, though he did talk about how he had to disassemble part of the trim around the windshield to run the electrical to the display built into the new rearview mirror. Bingo. Something obviously happened there. The end result was that we were told it wasn't their responsibility, that it was just a shitty situation. What doesn't make sense, however, is why they would even install a new rearview mirror on a windshield if it was already broken. It's against the law to drive with a broken windshield -- if anything, they would or should have had us sign a release saying we were consenting to the installation despite the fact that the windshield would need to be replaced anyway. They didn't ask for that release, of course, because it wasn't broken when we brought it in. This also probably explains why they took much longer than expected to finish the job, as they tried to figure out what they'd say to us. The stupidest thing is that it would have been fine if they just owned up to it, even if they weren't sure how they did it. Instead of just losing $200 for a replacement windshield, they've now lost the $400 we would have paid them for the camera installation. Thank God for consumer protection and credit cards. What a great experience! I will say, I did have a negative experience here several mos ago but Tim reached out to me as I would expect of a good business owner and told me he wanted to make it right and YES he did just that and more. He also explained a lack of communication issue about my prior bill that made me feel much better about that situation. I will now be taking my truck back to them to have the 2 other speakers put in. Today was about our new car and a whole new system in that one and wow how good it sounds and a very good price. The front desk people were cordial and helpful and we totally recommend these guys to anyone looking for quality equipment and quality work. I had a keyless entry and remote start installed in my truck by another local company. After 4 times at this local shop, they threw in the towel and didn't want to work on it anymore. A buddy recommended that I call Soundpro and talk to Billy. I explained the situation with the other company and let me say, Billy and the crew at Soundpro were not only excited but confident in turning this around. The scheduling was easy and the pricing was great. I wished I would've gone here from the start. Mike the installer did an awesome job installing my Viper system. My experience at Soundpro was above 5 stars and I left feeling that my money was well spent. I'll continue to refer anyone to Soundpro due to my experience. After a frustrating experience with another local company, I called Sound Pro and they were EXTREMELY courteous and professional not only on the phone, but with their service and made arrangements to put in my stereo that same morning. Their installer, Mike, was one of the best I've dealt with, and the installation went without a hitch. I would recommend Sound Pro to anyone who wants their car audio done correctly. read more

After spending an excess of 2000$ on equipment and labor cost for install, never before have I been so disrespected and neglected by a business. Sound Pro's? More like sound amateurs, lets begin with their professional attitude and general demeanor towards a typical customer. When you walk into the Sound Pro building on 7550 Shedhorn Dr. you wont be greeted with a warm smile or friendly hello. In fact, in most cases when you walk in you wont be greeted at all. On the off chance that Billy, Mike or another one of the all star team members happens to be at the front desk, don't get your hopes up. When they finally acknowledge your presence it will be with a simple monotone "hey" or "can I help you". However once you mention that you have been experiencing problems from equipment that another company installed they roar to life. I have never been so bombarded with rude slander by so called "professionals". After hearing grown men talk shit about another company like fifteen year old high school girls, your probably going to want to leave. Unfortunately when their shotty work and second-hand experience leaves you without tunes in your ride, you will most likely call to complain and schedule services to handle the problem. Once again you will be greeted with a simple "Sound Pro" you never know who you are speaking with unless you ask. It always seems like such a hassle for them to deal with customers, I was told a total of nine times I would receive a call back. Nine times! Sadly not surprisingly, I have never received a call from Sound Pro I have always called them and it honestly got to the point that they made me feel uncomfortable for calling. I will NEVER use or hire Sound Pro again, I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. In fact I have been doing the opposite by warning everyone I can from dealing with the dissatisfaction that they served me with. -Yours truly another unhappy or typical customer. read more

I wouldn't recommend they for installation of remote starters. They were pleasant to talk to but unorganized, didn't provide the manuals and broke as much as they fixed. The place was thick with vapor. First the headlights wouldn't turn on with the remote start-- now the traction says it is not working. The response was "that's just the way it is". read more

Last January, I made the mistake of confusing Good Vibrations for Sound Pro on a one star review. Please don't make this mistake! Sound Pro is absolutely legit. I tried to install an amp myself (after my bad experience with Good Vibrations) and it turned into a hack job. After much frustration, I decided to stop by Sound Pro (Don't go to Good Vibrations) in the middle of the afternoon. Luckily, they had a few minutes between appointments to look at my problem. Mike, the head guy in the shop, couldn't have been more helpful. He showed me what I did wrong and proceeded to reconnect all the wires behind the head unit and to the amp. With a lot of luck, it might have taken me an entire weekend to figure out the problem. It took Mike less than 20 minutes to fix the issue. And to top it off, he only charged me $36 for parts and labor. What a Deal! I would highly recommend the professional work of Mike and the rest of Sound Pro to anybody who needs help with their audio systems, big or small. read more
