Started with a side salad. The blue cheese dressing was full of chunks of blue cheese and perfect. I'm picky on that! They didn't just use iceberg lettuce but a mix of other lettuces. I like that a lot. Whiskey tips in a sauce that was great. As promised, there was a kick. Side of beans ands they were cooked to the right al dente. Just the right spices. I felt like the portions were generous. I think two people could split that order. I would have taken leftovers but was on an expense account and wanted to try another place my second night! I ordered a rattlesnake margarita and got a regular house margarita instead. My date ordered a mojito but they didn't have all the ingredients to make it. The drinks came out without much alcohol in them at all, if any, and felt that they were overpriced juice more than anything. We then ordered soft pretzel bites and beer cheese and they were hard as a rock - so bad that we sent them back. Luckily they took them off the check. Then our food finally came out - the kitchen was VERY slow - and honestly I think Tyson's frozen chicken tenders were better than these. The breading was hard as a rock, and was peeling off like they had been frozen and baked too long or something? The only good thing about the place was the fries, which were crispy and tasted fresh. The next day we left the Badlands NP and came into Wall after sunset only to find that once again, Badlands Saloon and Grille was the only restaurant open. We chose to get a bunch of snacks from the gas station instead because there is no way we would ever go back there after that poor experience. Despite the interior of the restaurant being decorated nicely, they really need to focus on the quality of the food and training staff - it has so much potential for being one of the few restaurants in Wall around the national park. But I don't recommend eating here, even if it is the only place open in all of Wall.
