    Apertivo awesomeness

Great apertivo, great drinks, great prices! Check this place out while in Florence if you're itching for apertivo hour! At about 7:30 p.m. each day, they feature a super delicious apertivo (appetizer) buffet with lots of tasty options. Just a warning, though, don't eat too much or you'll be too full for dinner! Note that the Negronis here are tasty and strong! I highly recommend those as well.

10€ decent aperitivo buffet -- my mojito was basically water, mint & ice. Not a huge selection of the buffet, but it was more Italian that others (ie Oibo). Real plates & silverware. Great atmosphere. Not surrounded by Americans, which I appreciate when I sit down somewhere in Florence. Don't know if I would return willingly, but I'd go back if my friends were meeting there. Bar seating, room in the back, and basement seating. Certainly not the best food you'll have in Italy, and definitely not your life, but a good hang out for casual food for one of those nights you need it.

small little bar near the piazza santa croce. We stood at the bar and although it was a little tight we enjoyed our time. The dj was playing some good music and even the bartenders were dancing! Prices are reasonable but i would suggest this place over any of the tourist trap bars on this street.

    Buffet food. :)

Great apertivos but they are understaffed. Have some interesting cocktails. Word of advice, don't order the Americano fusion not very good.

Then they made us sit at a tiny awkward table in the corner due to missing the reservation time. Again, this is while the entire room and all normal tables were empty. Only a couple of people arrived over the next hour. The atmosphere was very cool and the drinks were strong and delicious but 24 Euros each. Mixed experience for sure. We probably would have loved it and stayed longer had they just given us one of the many empty normal tables instead of punishing us for no reason.

Lit almost entirely by candle light and furnished with antique furniture, this lounge is warm and intimate. You almost get the feeling that you've stepped into a 20's era cult gathering. Perfect for a date night or small get together. The cocktail selection includes some of the most intriguing and exotic ingredients you'll find in a drink, from soy sauce and Jerk Spice Seasoning to yoghurt and black pepper. They are primarily a whiskey bar but their cocktails run the gamut when it comes to spirit selections. If you find yourself passing through Florence you absolutely HAVE TO find time for even just one of these unique concoctions.

Freshly sliced prosciutto for the Carbonara (no peas), awesome! Pizza for the kiddos...gone in minutes. My wife's spinach ravioli in a light red sauce was delicious. We tried a couple of the others but this was our favourite. The staff here are friendly and have such a great sense of humor. They were definitely a huge part of our good experience. Thier choice in music was sensastional as well. The semi industrial look of the inside blends well with the exposes brick walls and the comic printing plates decorating where we sat. I got the lasanga, which was perfect. The cheese is so creamy with the contrast of the tart tomato sauce- I couldn't stop taking a bite when it was fresh from the oven, risking burns. Of the dishes my family ordered the other stand out was the carbonara. I cannot find words to describe how good the sauce was. Anyways it was such an experience that I'm writing this while wating for breakfast at Nostrale.

A taste of the states in Florence, Italy…read more Believe it or not, when you're traveling in Italy for 12 days and pretty much only drinking prosecco and aperol spritz's this was a WELCOME change of pace. P.S. if you didn't know, cocktail culture in Italy is not a thing. This was one of the ONLY cocktail bars we stumbled upon during our trip and the atmosphere brought us in from the street. The atmosphere is hipster, retro, memorable and fun! The cocktail list is TO DIE FOR. The owner who was serving us, spent two years in the states mastering the art to bring it back. The list was super creative and well balanced for the season and heat. I opted for a cocktail with fresh squeed Grapefruit, Gin, fresh JUNIPER BERRIES, rosemary and elderflower tonic. It was served in a giant wine glass with ice and they give you the tonic on the side so you can make it as strong as you want. I thought this presentation was lovely, whimsical and fun. The cocktail was one of the best I've ever had and that is saying A LOT. Since I've been back I cannot stop thinking about it. For my second I got a blackberry, sage drink. It was good, but not nearly as memorable as the first. The hubs got an aperol spritz again, and to finish we got some sparkling rose - perfect for a hot night. We just did not want to leave this place! The service, the quality, the atmosphere. This place is killer!
