0 stars if I could. terrible company. scam and a rip off. they are a 3rd party distributer so they're just taking your money to take a call. then they call another company to send out. just find a real company to start with and you'll save $800 read more

SOS Towing - Blah. I hate car trouble. - Towing Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Oh wow this was an awful experience; they stripped two of my lug nuts and said that it was normal for that to happen. They were using a socket that was to large, so it shifted and got stuck. When I asked the kid if it was the wrong size he said " no its fine" went on to the next one and same thing happened. I asked him for the socket he was using after they busted up my lug nuts and checked it, well guess what... It was to big. When I called to complain they said " that is normal for dodges" they were very rude and when I told them to replace the parts they damaged they made it sound like they were doing me a favor. read more

I had my virgin towing experience with SOS Towing (a contractor for AAA). And I have nothing but good things to say. After driving about 1700 miles from Pittsburgh to just outside Albuquerque (with my destination being LA), my alternator belt decided to crap the bed. Upon losing my power steering and the engine heating up, I pulled off to a rest stop - 30 miles east of Albuquerque. As a AAA member, I called AAA and they informed me that someone from SOS Towing would arrive in 30 minutes. SOS arrived in about an hour. No way they could have made it to me in a half hour *shakes head at AAA dude*. If that were the case, I would be wishing I could do a 6-star review for going above and beyond. Anyways, when I lived in Philadelphia for 2 years, the term "towing company" was grotesque. All they did out there were tow cars parked in ambiguously marked unauthorized areas. The SOS towing team actually provides VALUE. Now, thanks to them, I'll hopefully be making it to LA on time. (My car is in the shop now. Fingers cross.) With all that said, my review boils down to this. Great people. Great service. No problems - only solutions. Also, everyone I spoke with was very personable. Awesome work, guys! read more

Top notch company who goes the extra mile for their customers. Their trucks are new and extremely impressive. The driver was professional, courteousness and talented in his trade. I would recommend SOS Towing. read more

Angela is extremely rude and not helpful- car was stranded and no help. These people need to be unsterstanding and more customer service oriented- read more

Seriously waited over three hours for a simple road side assistance call don't waste your time or money! They are a third party through AAA and I hope they discontinue their relationship as they didn't even call to update me, AAA called and asked if they ever had shown up? Nope my daughter and I changed the tire ourselves! read more

Great, quick service and friendly people. My husband's car broke down outside of a smiths on the opposite side of town. Called SOS, spoke with Kim who explained pricing to us, made sure he got his military discount, and even gave us a call back when the truck was almost there. Jeremy was the driver, he was very friendly and courteous, professional yet joked with us, which eased our worries about having to have a flatbed tow. From the time we called to arriving at our home, it was an hour and 10 minutes. Our milk was still cold! Will definitely use again if we have to read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before waiting 2 1/2hrs for them to say they couldnt find us and went on another call. Yes lady who answers their phone is rude and would keep me on hold and never come back on. SOS is this who you want representing your company? Duggers was so nice and helpful. I regret not calling them 1st. read more

Terrible company to work with!! Stolen care being taken back to our home. Company argued with every member of the family for no reason when a simple drop off would suffice and all id was presented. Class act individuals...Would be 0 stars if possible read more

So I called last night to get my car towed and they never showed up. So I call again this morning and the lady hung up on me immediately. Unprofessional service all around. read more

This outfit was dispatched by USAA Roadside Assistance and not only did they not send a tow truck within the 90 minutes like they told USAA they would, but they never communicated with us, so USAA had to cancel them after more than 2-1/2 hours and get us another towing company. Now we have to wait at least another 45 minutes for a tow truck to show up. We usually get great service from Duggers and we would've been better off waiting the 2 hours they initially told USAA it would take them instead of USAA being fooled by these ragtag outfits that say they'll come quickly but then can't even get there at all. Very irritating and disappointing on a hot summer day! read more

My husband scheduled a tow 24 hours in advance. When there wasn't a truck there at the scheduled time we called. They had no record of our appointment. And when we asked when a truck could come out they said they could not give us a time. And if we needed a certain time to take our business elsewhere. So we did and are very happy with the professional staff at Duggar's towing! read more

Best experience I've had from a tow company. Michael B. Was such a great help very courteous , And friendly. We needed a tow from Albuquerque to Belen NM. My serpentine belt broke while driving in Albuquerque. It was an extremely hot day and AAA told me it would be an hour before I would get to Service. SOS contacted me within five minutes and let me know the driver was on his way it would only be 20 minutes. As soon as Michael got there he was very courteous and had my wife get inside the tow truck to cool down from the 98° heat. We truly enjoyed our ride back to Belen. Although my vehicle was not working Michael made my day. read more

My daughter Alana had made an appointment the previous day for them to pick up her car at around 10am to take to a mechanic. After waiting till 11:30 I asked my daughter for their phone number so I could see when to expect them. The receptionist was inept, no apologies, only informed me it would be possibly another hour as they had insurance calls they were taking care of. Guess insurance calls pay better. She claimed they had attempted to call my daughter to advise her of the delay, which is untrue! I called Bernalillo Motors, they quoted me a price with tax and were there at my place in 15 minutes. I would not recommend SOS to anyone if they are in need of a company that keeps their word and appointments! This happened on the 21st of July!! I am thoroughly amazed with the reviews. Must have been insurance calls. read more

I just called this company to complain that their driver drove up on my property to drop off a vehicle across the street. I asked to speak to a manager, supervisor or owner and what their name was. She stated that she does not give out that information. When I asked what her name was she wouldn't give that either. All she told me was that she was dispatch. She stated that she would give the manager my message and have them call me back. We will see what happens. I wouldn't ever use these people. No respect for other people's property. read more

zero. On April 16,2019 we were leaving the gym and our car wouldn't start. We called AAA and they sent out SOS Towing. They arrived promptly and the guy was very nice. He got his equipment and when he hooked it up the horn started blaring and then stopped and then he told us to try the car. It started and he said to let it run for awhile. He told us to shut it off and start it again. I closed the door tried to start it again but wouldn't start. I went to put the windows down and it wouldn't go down. Didn't think anything about it at the time but car wouldn't start so he jumped it again. We let it run for awhile. He said to let it run and then take it to the dealer for a new battery because one of the cells were dead. He said to gas it but when I did nothing happened, we then noticed that all the electronic gauges weren't showing and couldn't put it in gear. So we had to call the tow truck. As we waited the engine finally just stopped. The next tech again very nice, found a button by the gear box that would release the shifter so we could take it out of park. He then went to jump it again. Lots of sparks but couldn't start it. So he put it in neutral and pushed it out and got it on the tow truck and towed it to the Toyota dealer. Toyota dealer said that a number of fuses were blown. Found arc marks on positive battery cable and windows etc wouldn't work signs that vehicle was jump started backwards. I filed a claim with AAA end of April. Been playing telephone tag with them. They said the company SOS would call me never heard from them. AAA called today after raising it to supervisor level and she said SOS tried to call - I have no record of any calls from them- and said they have Jump boxes so there is no way they could have done that. Well it was done and no one else touched the car. Poor customer service from both AAA and SOS towing and poor car service from SOS. And I ended up with a $500 bill. Btw, most insurance companies had roadside assistance on their car insurance policies so you don't even need AAA any more. I'm cancelling my coverage today!!!!! read more

Horrible company, I sat on the side of Paseo Del Norte with my children waiting for 2 1/2 hours and they canceled my tow didnt have the decency to call me and let me know. I called them and asked to talk to a manager or owner and the lady hung up on me. read more

This would be zero stars if possible. Left me and my family stranded on a very cold night in Albuquerque. Very disrespectful and unhelpful! They refused to wait 15 minutes for me to get my ride back to where I live an hour away. When I asked them to wait, they cancelled me and told me to find another towing company. Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a handicapped senior with me on a very cold night. I'm so ashamed of how they treated us. read more

The worst experience I've ever had using a tow company. I'm in NM, I call AAA they dispatched SOS Towing. SOS Towing dispatcher was awesome I let her know I needed a jump, gas and to be pulled out of the rocks. The vehicle was sitting at a 90 degree angle, it had slid down small rocks and was stuck(sounds crazy, I know). Well, the 1st truck sent was a flatbed that couldn't get up the drive, dispatch apologized and said another truck with a wench would come out. 3 hours later another SOS truck shows up, drivers name is Cesar who has no customer service skills. Cesar was extremely rude and has no clue how to talk to people or explain their policies. Cesar had the truck hooked up and then decided to unhook the truck all because he couldn't get his words out properly, he acted very unprofessional and left without moving the truck. SOS Towing has the worst employee I've ever had to deal with named Cesar. read more

I would of like there help but the girl who answered the phone was rude instantly, she definitely needs to learn to act like she likes her job instead of being annoyed that she has to deal with people. read more

So, I learned a valuable lesson when it comes to the mesas out here in ABQ....if your buddy gets stuck in the sand, odds are, you will too. Not only did my friend get his truck jammed three feet into the ground, my Xterra decided to do the same thing.... And we ultimately had to leave our vehicles in the middle of no where at midnight after struggling for three hours to free them. Bright and squirrely the next morning, we called SOS and they met up with us, popped my Xterra out in 5 minutes then rolled out to my buddies truck and did the same thing (his took a lot more elbow grease than mine). The crew was EXTREMELY nice, professional and very careful when they winched our rides. Plus, their fee was very reasonable considering they had to go out into the boonies ($100 an hour). All in all, we're very happy campers and will definitely recommend them to anyone we know who gets stuck out there (I'm sure not going to attempt a Mesa rescue again!). Lesson learned! read more

Great service, they have a flat rate of $85 to tow you to anywhere in town. My car broke down at 4:45 on a friday afternoon. The driver worked quickly to get my car to the repair shop before they closed for the night (that way it would be locked in the garage). I believe my driver's name was Adrian, very nice guy. Really came through when I was in a bind. read more

Lawrence was awesome. We are visiting from California and our parents battery died at Walgreens on Paradise. Not only did Lawrence come pretty darn fast, but he had such a great attitude and was so extremely helpful. We were very happy we were able to meet Lawrence. Great job . read more
