Every eating establishment had chips on the menu. I was pretty fraking chip'd out by the time I left. Oh, that's a big fat lie. There were the basics: pasta, pasta and pasta. And then some pizza. And of course, chips with other breaded fried protein. I ordered the House special pasta with shrimp, spinach and diced tomatoes. Papa and BF ordered the same thing. *cough* brown-nose *cough* Spaghetti bolognase. The noodles were overcooked and the sauce was not very flavorful for something with spinach and tomatoes. The spinach looked frozen and defrosted. The shrimp was big but also not very flavorful. I was unimpressed. I should have gone with the pizza and chips that everyone else was ordering. The Robs finished their pasta. Literally licked the plate. Maybe I'm missing something. Like taste buds that only eat dull food. I want flavor explosion in my mouth! I want dancing, fireworks, brightness, IN MY MOUTH.

I think this is because it does what it does, so well - gorgeous pizza, pasta and other traditional Italian food, in a trattoria-style setting. The prices aren't bad for the quality of food available and it's always prepared quickly. Having traveled around Italy this was truly authentic Italian food and drink which was served by Angela who was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you are having a break in Bridlington and love a taste of Italy, then this place is definately worth a visit its a shame it is not nearer to Sheffield.
