I have to agree with Claire. I come from a background of property management and understand that…read morethe owner has much to say in the way a property is managed... but how a company represents those desires says so much about them. there were clear signs when we first moved in... such as the pre-move in checklist already having been completed by the property manager (we did our own "addendum" with our findings). we still have pending issues and potential litigation so I don't want to get into specifics but if you DO rent from them... make sure you document every single interaction with them. I'm so glad we did.

If you have a choice, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a property management company. My…read morehusband and I rented a home that was transferred to their service and had an absolutely awful experience. We purchased a home while our lease was still active and were told that Windermere would do everything they could to get it rented to someone else. It took more than a week for them to get the listing up after we notified them of our move out date. Asking for any kind of update felt like pulling teeth. Multiple calls and email attempts were necessary to receive any information at all. Additionally, we remained responsible for all utility bills - which is understandable in and of itself. However, our power bills were MORE expensive for the rental (which was vacant) than the house we were living in. Our final bill from PSE indicated that they left the house at an average of 85 degrees. Unbelievable. Stay far away - especially if you hope to purchase a home and the timeline doesn't fit EXACTLY with your lease.

When we first moved here we tried a two other Property Management places first. They were the…read morebigger names around town. The first place it seemed like the owner was the only person working for the company, including doing any and all handyman/repair work. The second place was much different and we thought we liked them a lot. Turns out we didn't, but that's a whole other review. Our experience with this office was quick, efficient and very relieving. My husband called up after looking at a couple of listings he was interested in, spoke with Theresa and told her what we were looking for, and she also offered up a few things we passed over. We're really happy she did, because we are now in a town home that has everything we needed and wanted at a very affordable rate. We initially wanted a single family home, because we really wanted a garage, and she encouraged us to look anyways. SFH were more expensive with less room inside and no neighbors with connecting walls. She understood our needs and found us a town home that had a garage and was at the end of the building, so we only have one neighbor with connecting walls. The neighbor is just one guy, who is almost never home and when he is is super quiet. We've met him a few times in the less than a month that we've been here. He's also really nice. I know you can't always pick your neighbors, but Theresa really understood that we are a quiet couple who like our home to be equally as quite, jets excluded, and said she knew this would be a good fit because we match very well with the neighbors. It means a lot that she would look out more for us and our wants and needs that she did her bottom line. The tenants who stayed here before us kind of messed up the place, and she did an amazing job making sure everything was in clean and working order. Noticing the repair and work orders needed to get this place back in good condition, I know that the cost was just over what she actually made from renting to the young couple over the 6 month lease, but as a responsible property manager she did what she had to do. I can respect that completely. My husband and I are planning to buy a house by the end of our lease, and in the event that we have to move, we have already decided that she is going to be the property manager if we decide to rent versus selling.

This rental management company is the best. Wonderful staff, caring individuals who take care of…read moretheir owners and clients. Always helpful, reasonably priced rentals. I would highly recommend these folks for either rental management or rental property.

Firstly, I want to state that this complex has an extremely bad pest problem. From roaches to rats,…read morewe have seen just about everything. The most common one however is the roaches. These have been a problem since the first day that we moved into the complex (there was at least 3 giant ones in our kitchen light on the very first day we moved in (they are still dead inside of it). Over the years the roaches have come and gone, but they never fully leave. No matter how much we clean or smoke out the apartments, we can't get rid of them. This could be either from our neighbors not being able to get rid of them, to the complex's shared laundry mat that has an infestation itself (you will find dead or alive ones on the machines). Another issue this complex has is its children. The children here are loud, obnoxious and destructive. They scream at the top of their lungs, hit one another, run around in dirty diapers at times, cuss at you, vandalize and leave trash in their wake. If you stop by the complex, check out the basketball court and observe all of the trash in and around it and you can see exactly what I'm talking about. This complex also has a very bad crime/theft/drug problem. Some of your neighbors may be doing drugs/ distributing them and the apartment manager is aware but does not do anything about it. So be wary of your belongings, because things can and will go missing (such as your bikes, keep them inside or if you're upstairs keep them on your back porch). Also, if you live in the back of the complex, there are no cameras and the manager will not care if a crime has been committed such as your car being broken into or assault, because without camera footage, you "don't have proof," and if you ask for cameras to be installed, the manager will refuse to install them. On top of this, the maintenance man is extremely unhelpful and will not help you in emergency. For example, the seal on our toilet finally wore down after years of use and we could not use it. He told us that we had to wait 3 days to be helped because "he was off that weekend." We had to ask our neighbors to use their toilets or use store bathrooms until this issue was resolved. this lack of effort was extremely inhumane and left a sour taste in our mouths. Because he is supposed to be on-call maintenance, yet he could not be bothered to come in and help. We tried to contact the manager about it, and she ignored all of our calls, and we had to wait the full 3 days for a toilet again. This complex honestly has a lot of problems, and I really don't recommend renting an apartment here until these problems have been properly looked into and fixed.

I have to say, for a small place like Burlington these folks sure have the nerve to leave a house…read morein this condition. How tacky and disrespectful towards to buyer of the home and my agent too. Then they have the nerve to leave their sign in front of my house. I made sure I took the time out of my already busy day while going through a personal tragedy to drop off their sign at their office. We specifically asked to completely empty out and clean the house. There was stuff left behind in every single closet and room of the house. Beer caps in the fireplace and a huge bin that they left behind for composting (full of compost waste), plus a dead Christmas tree. But they took their fridge, left us with a broken washer and dryer (which they added on a value of the house and ripped out wooden garden table leaving huge bold spots in the grass. Last time they raked the yard or mowed grass here must've been weeks ago. They said that they would fix the bathroom drain (that was part of the deal), they only must have pulled out the hairs from it. It's still not draining properly. My agent had to go back to the house before signing and rip out the shelves that we requested to be removed. It's a small house and there're already not much room here. We moved across the country with the military and we have plenty of our own stuff. We gave the seller and their agent plenty of time to fix everything and clean up. Took us over two months to close on the house, that's ample amount of time to leave the house looking decent.
