Unfortunately, this appears to have become standard practice rather than the exception. Attempting to impose restocking fees just one week after delivering a failed appliance, particularly when the defect has been confirmed by your installer, is not only unreasonable but raises serious ethical concerns. This is not how professional businesses operate. Stamford customers deserve to be treated with respect, fairness, and accountability. If your organization is unable or unwilling to provide that standard of service, perhaps it is time to make room for a company that values its customers and the Stamford community.

While I was there, I also checked out their Citizen watch collection, and Andrew gave me a great price on one I had my eye on (pictured). He also sized this watch for me while I was there and cleaned it! The store itself is very welcoming--no pressure or feeling like they're trying to rip you off, just honest service. We have visited several times in the past 2 months, and the staff has been rude, impolite, and difficult to work with. Gone are the days of Peter walking to the storefront to pleasantly greet us. Our recent experiences have included miscommunication, conflicting answers, delayed orders, and accusatory staff members. Was it the passing of Peter that caused this quick downturn? A shift in management? There's no way to know, but I hope the store realigns itself with the values of their prior years. Unfortunately, we've lost trust in this business and won't be returning with our valuables. Our new jeweler has greeted us with timely updates, more reasonable quotes, better tact and handling of our items, and a friendlier presence.
