There's no getting around the fact that Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Tavern is a sleazy rat hole of place but true to biker tradition and one of the better "let it all hang out" biker bars in the country. Though the nearby Boothill may be the Mecca of Daytona biker bars, Sopotnick's is its real pearl. During Biker Event Weekends such as Biketober Fest and Dayton Bike Weekend the place is not only packed but overrun with bikers not only from all over the country but from foreign counties as well. The bar is famous for certain organized events such as the Women's Coleslaw Wresting as well as impromptu unorganized event like the Women's Deep Throat Kielbasa Swallowing Contest. Indeed, there are some who would put a carnival sword swallower to shame. The establishment itself is covered with various graffiti, the outside, the walls, even the ceiling. Some contain some rather interesting sexual reviews, but after reading a few of them, I found them to be rather mixed. For example, as some seem to agree but others don't, there really isn't any way of determining whether or not Frank (fictitious example name) does indeed give a better "head" than Lisa (fictitious example name). LOL! Anyway, Sopotnick's is, though dirty, smoky and grimy, the true epitome of a biker bar and on that basis alone I just can't go less than Four Stars for it.

A little bar out in the middle of nowhere that is usually packed during Daytona Bike Week and Biketober Fest. This is not a place for those intimidated easily as this is a tough joint. Cole Slaw wrestling is something to be seen only in person during a lifetime. Girls are completely covered in smelly hot cole slaw and knocking the $hit out of each other. Besides Beer and Booze what else do you need?

Great local dive bar. Service is always good and the beer is cold. Also a great time during the events, vendors, food, and bands

Best party in town both bike week and Biketoberfest!! Good tent camping but a bit pricey for what you get! Go section 8!

When is the cole slaw wrestling?

Cole Slaw wrestling is during BikeWeek in March and Biketoberfest in October. Good luck.

Let me start with this: I do not like wine…read more I've tried for years. I've ordered it at dinners, events, girls' nights... and I've rarely even been able to finish a glass. That's how much I typically dislike the taste. My preference? Sweet and fruity. Think Jolly Rancher candy. The only exception I've ever found was Ice Wine, which is rarely carried in restaurants or wine bars. So when we attended a work event here, I was honestly looking forward to the company more than the drinks. But I decided to be honest with our waitress. I told her I don't like dry wine, I prefer sweet, and asked if she had any recommendations. She introduced me to Sangue Di Giuda (Italy -- fruity, light, medium sweet, low alcohol)... and for the first time ever, I found a wine I genuinely enjoyed. I could actually sip it without making a face. At around $8 a glass, it felt very reasonable. They also offer full bottles for purchase, which I love as an option if you find something you enjoy. Beyond the wine, the atmosphere makes this place special. It's warm, relaxed, and perfect for conversation. It feels elevated without being stuffy -- the kind of place where you can linger and talk without feeling rushed. So this review is for two groups: * Wine lovers looking for a great experience * And the "I don't like wine but I'm here anyway" crowd Be honest about what you like. Let the staff guide you. You might surprise yourself like I did. We'll absolutely be back -- and yes, I'll be ordering the same glass again. Bonus: It's located in a plaza with great dinner options, so you can easily turn it into a full night out. We grabbed Greek food next door afterwards, and there's also Bronx House pizza at the end of the plaza if that's more your vibe (both are delicious!). Makes planning easy.

The wine tastings are Thursday 5-7 and do not disappoint it's a great way to try new wines and they give you a discount on bottles of the wines sampled that night. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the music is just the right genre/volume so you are still able to chat and catch up while sipping. This is a great one stop shop for premier wines - we have come in a few times and told them our favorite notes/food it's going with and they help you find the perfect bottle. Highly recommend!

First off, the salad base was a great spring mix of leafy greens with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, grated cheese. Everything was fresh and crispy. Their balsamic vinaigrette was very good. Next, let's talk about these Zingers. A very generous portion of them came with the salad order. They were so juicy and flavorful. They were a meal in and of themselves. I could have just eaten them and been totally satisfied. I had added some chicken wings because, why not? I ordered them tossed in garlic sauce, and they were also flavorful, hearty and well prepared. I'd never thought about ordering from Miller's Ale House in the past because I always thought of it as just another chain restaurant, but this order has me rethinking my next lunch order... because I would definitely order from them again.

Let me start with the single positive, because I need to be fair: the presentation was genuinely…read morefine. Everything looked beautiful, like a perfectly styled set for a culinary disaster movie. The plates were clean, the garnish was precise--it was the visual equivalent of a lovely, non-threatening sunrise before a meteor strikes. But then, the eating began. My wife ordered the steak. After the first few bites, she offered a suspicious frown and declared, "This just doesn't seem right." I shrugged it off. Ignorance, as they say, is bliss. I was preoccupied with my Osso Buco. It tasted fine, actually! Quite lovely, a rich, savory broth wrapping around the tender veal. It was, perhaps, the perfect Trojan Horse. The true nature of the meal revealed itself the second we stepped through our own front door. It wasn't indigestion; it was a full-scale gastronomic betrayal. My wife was the first to fall, clutching her abdomen as if she'd swallowed a volcanic eruption. Her "very bad stomach" quickly escalated into a Category 5 hurricane. However, the universe saved its true masterpiece of chaos for me. The Osso Buco wasn't just fine; it was a pressurized biological weapon, timed to detonate precisely at the point of maximum inconvenience. I experienced the physical manifestation of the phrase "explosive diarrhea." This was not merely going to the bathroom--this was a tactical, hurried retreat that involved sounds that should only be heard in wartime documentaries. I'm currently filing a Missing Person Report for my large intestine. I have reliable reports that my colon, having achieved escape velocity, was last seen heading south on I-95, passing the Ft. Pierce exit at approximately 85 mph. If anyone sees a long, winding tube attempting to hitchhike to Miami, please inform it that its services are urgently required back north.

I have been patient regarding my Google review for Spruce. Just so everyone who decides to read a…read morereview - I did not take what is needed to be conveyed lightly. In a nutshell - there are members here who, like guests, feel like outcasts because if you are not a pilot then you are looked down upon by many circles there. They have a product issue and a brand issue. It is my concerted view, as a member of the Florida State Golf Association (FSGA), the course is lagging behind its competitors in a considerable way. Here is a tick list: - Maintenance issues with mechanical equipment including & not limited to fairway equipment and greens equipment where we have either witnessed hydraulic leaks throughout the back 9 a few weeks ago or scalding issues on the greens (i.e. on 8, 9 & #12). - The majority of tee boxes (#3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, and #13) are the really bad tee boxes. - There are hundreds of thin or bare lies throughout the golf course in part because of staff subject-matter knowledge issues, equipment issues, or just simply due to little to no grass around approach shots and chipping areas. As of right now, the Spruce Creek golf course is not in the condition needed for practice rounds or competitive play for each of the following reasons: (1) The bunkers are thin and unreliable in comparison to many other courses in the local area and within a 90 minute travel radius. Also, they are not in a condition for competitive play. (2) The greens, despite the tine needles being used for aeration purposes, are inconsistent on the stimp meter across the majority of the greens and are not even rolling at an 8. As a current member of the Golf committee, it fails to meet competitive standards. (3) I participated in the Beat the Heat tournament on July 3rd, 2024. On my 36th & final hole of the day, I had the pleasure of having to get a Irrigation Water shower on the 9th green. The President of the Board clearly does not know how to apologize for issues related to something as simple as an irrigation system turning on at 7 PM in the summer. Finally - in the last three months, I have also witnessed each of the following at the Spruce Creek facilities: (1) golf carts breaking down (2) a leak in the membership coordinators office (3) a broken window near the entrance of the Prop and Fore which was not closed off & was in that condition for at least 6 weeks (4) the air conditioning not working in the pro shop at least twice (5) a promotion of a tiki bar that looks like nothing more than a sliding glass window (6) a general attitude among those who have members over there & certain staff who clearly do not like feedback or maintain professional boundaries Finally, the Prop and Fore Restaurant: it is fair to say the restaurant is not a place anyone who cares about protecting your health should go to and enjoy. I had to learn this week there were 32 food & health violations including raw meat issues since November 2023 & for those who are members or are guests, many of us were NEVER notified by the Board of Governors of the high priority, intermediate & basic violations according to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The lack of transparency by the Board of Governors in reference to the Prop and Fore Restaurant of which provides catering service for events including weddings is not only a problem but the BOG violated the Florida Sunshine Laws for not disclosing such violations dating back to November 2023. Let this sink in. If these guys are unwilling to disclose the spot inspections from the State of Florida then what else will they not disclose. The BOG & certain staff do not know how to be transparent.  They may backtrack going forward but the fact the Spruce Creek Country Club does not know how to be transparent as of this updated review regarding these violations at their restaurant and have all of the issues they have with the deteriorated golf course conditions then it is more than appropriate to say that they really cater to residents of the Fly-In especially pilots or retired pilots.
