They came this Monday I almost cancelled appointment glad I didn't Lainie did a thorough inspection and what she found was disturbing she said Fireplace was upward of 20+ years old. She doesn't believe it was ever cleaned there had been a few fires there was no ventilation as soot and what not had clogged it completely. I shudder to think what could have happened had we used it. I value my life and my families lives. The Fireplace cannot be used have a contractor coming to give recommendations my advice is that if you haven't had your Fireplace Inspected and Cleaned by a Chimney Sweep it's the best 125.00 I have ever spent. Everything about that service was great. Communication and punctuality were good. He and his helper were friendly, efficient, and clean. However, he recommended that I change the middle, rear panel of my fireplace insert. He informed me that the required part and the labor would cost $150. I agreed the repair should be done. I gave him $100 to acquire the part. Over the next few months I was able to speak to him on the phone a few times. Each time he said that he was still waiting on the part. Eventually he quit answering my calls. Eventually, I quit trying to call. If all you need is your chimney cleaned, I have no doubt he can do it well. But consider not paying for any service or part before that service is rendered or that part is delivered.
