This is one of the lamest and pathetic colleges I have attended. The college offers limited…read more courses to choose from (reading, math, etc) that are taught by one instructor offered at a set time. Community colleges should offer courses that are taught by different instructors and at different times throughout the day which makes it convenient for the students. CGCC fails at that. The president of the college has always mention of upgrading the institution and offering more classes, but that never happens. I get it, they probably don't have enough money and resources to make this happen. The only thing that this college has for it is the Nursing program and it's an accredited college.

This school is still terrible regardless of the new principal or whatever "changes" they claim they…read moremade. Most of the staff is the exact same, and students still get away with way too much. A couple years ago, a student punched a girl so hard he shattered bones around her eye and permanently affected her vision, and the punishment was basically nothing. He stayed at the school and only got suspended for two days. That alone says everything about how this school handles serious situations. The environment thereis awful, bullying and violence are not taken seriously enough, and the administration cares more about their image than actually fixing problems. Deleting the old Yelp page to wipe bad reviews instead of addressing why people were leaving them is honestly embarrassing. A new principal does not magically make this a good school.

I love this amazing Gallery up the Columbia River in The Dalles Oregon. The drive alone is worth it…read moreyou passed by Multnomah Falls off the Columbia River Gorge which is a National Treasure. When you come up on to the gallery there's always plenty of items letter in the gallery that are for sale so you can actually walk in and buy right off the shelf. Or you can come in with your own idea and have them create it and bring it to fruition. Andy Nichols is a very thoughtful caring individual that brings his craft as high up as he can to make it something that is a memorable moment. He wants people to embrace the glass culture. In his early years it was a little bit of sacrifice to get into the point is that now but in his own words he says it was all worth it. If you look around as Gallery you'll understand that his heart is completely in this. Another great feature is that he has an incredible staff that teaches small to keep high quality in classes and you can go in and do your own glass projects under the supervision of the teachers. It's very safe they have several crucibles and kills that they use to produce the most incredible pieces you've ever seen. I highly recommend that you come in and arrange to have a glass blowing session with one of his instructors Britney was amazing. She assisted me and blowing up a 12 ounce drinking glass that had yellow bands running through it with blood red face. My girlfriend was able to create a special Christmas ornament for herself. Earlier one of the questions from the check in with is it a good place for kids. I would say no but then again it's a crazy kind of business where you see fire and glass and activity and things going on it could be interesting for kids to. I highly recommend it. Everything they do in the shop comes from their heart. And you can see it in the way that they treat people that come in through the door.
