    Happy Halloween!
    J O.

I'm so blessed that both my daughters have been taught by Lily and Edith over the past few years. I've had my girls with them over the past 4 years and they take such care with the social and emotional development of the kids at their school. I've experienced 2 other schools in San Mateo in addition to theirs and I genuinely appreciate everything they do to make it an emotionally supportive and educational focused environment for my daughters. We really value a bi-lingual experience for our kids which they fully get. Please feel free to ask for Jillian OrRico if you want a reference from another parent at this program. I'm more than happy to share my experiences with this school and on the other bilingual schools we have attended in San Mateo over the years. If you are looking for well trained educators who know how to teach, getting your young child ready for kinder and provide them with a strong moral and emotionally supportive environment, you can't go wrong with lily and Edith. They are really special people. They are truly like a second set of parents to my girls.

We love it here. Our daughter has been here for over a year and loves it. Her Spanish is great, and my wife and I speak none.

The teachers were warm, steady, and really attentive, and that made a huge difference for us. Fast forward and now he's graduating for Kindergarten, which is honestly emotional. We'll miss Magic a lot. Magic helped our child become a real little reader. He started bringing home "level books," and now he grabs books on his own and asks for the same favorites over and over, especially Pete the Cat Goes Camping and Little Bear. It's become one of his favorite things to do. In the preschool program he loved the routine and the fun stuff, especially Thursday dance class and the monthly field trips. Around age two we hit separation anxiety and the "terrible twos," and the staff handled it so patiently and professionally. They helped him settle, regulate, and feel safe. We also really value that Magic offers English, Chinese, and Spanish. It's been a big plus for our child and for private school applications. We're truly grateful and would absolutely recommend Magic Education.

He is always happy when we pick him up and doesn't want to go home almost every day. All the teachers are very nice. They not only teach the children with all different things (Chinese, English, Spanish, handcrafts, drawing, story telling, etc), but also take very good care of all the children. Teachers always update to parents with how the children did during the day when they are picked up. They know every kid very well. Facility is also very good. Bright classrooms, big yards with different toys. They keep everything clean. Hot lunches and snacks are also very good and healthy. A LOT of pictures and videos every day through APP. We really appreciate this, and it makes us feel very connected. We know what exactly happened in the daycare almost every hour through out the day. Ms. Coco also gives child growth report to every family with well organized one on one meetings twice a year. Very detail engaged. We feel very reassured to take our son to Magic Education, and definitely recommend

It's hard to describe what an amazing school this is. I stumbled upon it almost by chance when my…read moreson had to quickly find a new school due to him not liking the language immersion school I had initially enrolled him in. As a first time parent, I was of course focused on setting up my son for the best academic future possible and was looking at academically focused pre-schools like Stratford. Visiting that school, I had a mixed feeling of hope for the future, and sadness to see pre-schoolers lined up in those tiny desks doing work. The playground was quiet on the day I visited and there was a little girl crying. Was it really necessary to start my baby boy on the Gerbil wheel of life so soon? In contrast, my first impression of Petite Sorbonne was of the crazy noise and sound of laughter. It was a bit overwhelming initially, but it seemed like kids were everywhere. As Teacher June gave me a tour of the grounds (a large Victorian house), she was interrupted every few minutes by a kid giving her a hug or telling her "I love you". The kids just played together and were so happy, the way childhood is supposed to be. I went with my gut. I'm writing this review with the benefit of hindsight. My son is now in 4th grade and at the top of his class academically. He's in the honors class at Russian school of Math. But most importantly, he truly loves learning, has what seems to be a bottomless well of curiosity, and makes friends so easily. Teachers June and Vanessa are the most amazing educators and developers of global citizens. They teach the important things in life--what it means to be a part of a Community, how to treat yourself and others with respect. Your children will have traditions from this school, from the blooming and nurturing of the garden, finding of treasures in the playground sand, to the trouble that leprechauns bring. They will have so much fun doing it! The years that your child will spend at this school are like a gift. They will be filled with laughter, love, play, friendship and happiness.

Teacher June has been running this business for decades and provides a very nurturing environment for our little ones that has been thoughtfully laid out with different activity focused rooms, as well as a nice playground for outside time. Kids come to the window to say goodbye, and are in a good mood when they're picked up. You know they've had a nice day. We've had two children attend years ago and they still have lasting friendships! We're back with our 3rd child, and we're glad we came! Parking can be a little annoying, and cost wise, doesn't make sense for part time as there isn't that much of a difference between full and part time (as it essentially takes a spot). And your child must be "mostly" potty trained to attend. There are cheaper options, but there are also considerably more expensive options as well in the area. At under $2K/mo for full time, I think it's well priced for the environment and what is provided. We hope you love it as much as we do!
