I prefer to shop local whenever possible. Sonora Sleep Works has been in the community for as long as I've lived in Tuolumne. We were very pleased with the service we received, and the selection they offered. The prices were exceptional, and within 15 minutes, we made our selection. They have free, fast delivery, and removed our old furniture at no cost. Will definitely recommend Sonora Sleep Works to others. read more

We needed to buy a sofa, two chairs and a trundle bed set up. Not a small purchase. We were disappointed at the selection elsewhere and horrified by the prices. We looked on Yelp, saw the reviews and decided to have a look. As soon as I walked in the store I saw the chairs I wanted and I was pleasantly surprised by the price. I looked across the room and saw a sofa I liked and again, the price was great. We were greeted warmly and the service was great. The items were delivered same day. They took the old furniture I no longer wanted and I was delighted to find that they donated my used furniture to people in need. That was important to me. All around it was a truly positive experience. Highly recommend. read more

Went in for a couch yesterday. Found one I really liked. SUPER soft amazing material. On sale for $499 and they deliver for free. However, the delivery boys had already left for the day so the older gentleman working (I think he's probably the owner) said he wouldn't charge me sales tax. I said sold! Very friendly and I love my couch. I would buy from them again. read more

Went back to see Mike today...this time looking for a chest of drawers. We found exactly what we were looking for. Again, great service and a great price. He and his wife are so nice. It will be our first stop any time we need anything for our cabin. read more

We recently bought a cabin in Cold Springs and wanted to make sure we got comfy beds for our time there - and for our guests. We headed into Sonora Sleep Works and not only did we get 2 beds, but we got 2 amazing pillows and a recliner - all for our cabin. Nancy greeted us and treated us like old friends. Mike and Jim delivered our stuff that afternoon. They took away the existing beds and were able to donate them to charity. I highly recommend Sonora Sleep Works for all your furniture needs. They've been in the business for more than 40 years; they know their stuff and they'll treat you like family. read more

Sonora Sleep Works & More - Furniture Stores Near Me - Sonora, California

After being highly recommended to us by quite a few locals my husband went to shop for a new mattress at Sonora Sleepworks. Mike and Nancy the owners were wonderful in sharing their knowledge of the different brands. After sharing information about certain manufacturers Mike stepped in to the other sales room and gave my husband I an opportunity to talk and test out mattresses. This was the most low key shopping experience we have ever had. And I don't know how they do it but the test beds were all very clean and had a pleasing appearance. We selected a set that was reasonably priced. We are currently awaiting delivery. We will definitely be back for future furniture purchases. Sonora Sleepworks has fantastic owners with great prices on wonderful products. read more

My wife Linda and I bought a mattress last weekend. Mike was very pleasant to deal with. Today the mattress was delivered and discovered What I expected to be a costly mistake on our part. We had ordered the wrong size mattress for our frame! So I called Mike and confessed my mistake. I figured the would be a restocking fee plus a delivery and service fee. Instead Mike says, "No problem, we have a Cal King in stock and I can hand that it to you tomorrow." I ask about the costs and he says, "Don't worry about it. We'll take care of you". This kind of service is so rare these days. Gary Welch PML read more

We had a great experience buying a bed at Sonora Sleep Works. We were given good information and were assisted by knowledgable people in finding a bed that fit our needs. Mike's recommendations for my new adjustable bed were "spot on". I wish I had measured the height of my old bed before shopping as the prepackaged legs were much too tall. Mike and I had several phone conversations trying to figure out the correct height necessary. I finally decided on the casters and Mike ordered them and had the guys come back and install them. It would have been so much easier for all, if I had measured first. Thanks, Mike. read more
