I have been back and forth about getting liposuction done and even had a consultation (not here) over a year ago, but walked away because I felt I could get off those extra few pounds on my own. Well, unfortunately, I failed and am frustrated so here I am. I walked in today to two women working the front desk who both greeted me with a hello and a smile. I was thankful because I read reviews of another office somewhere and they were not positive when it came to customer service. I filled out the paperwork which I was expecting and was taken back about 15 minutes after I turned them in. This also pleased me because reviews I read about wait time, again, were not positive. My consultant was friendly, happy, pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a customer herself so that was helpful. She showed me her very tiny scars and I noticed, on my own, her flat tummy ;O) She was never pushy, offered me time to think, call, come back, etc. My plan the whole time was to make this happen however, I did not necessarily need it to be at this office if I wasn't happy with my service. Glad to say I was elated. The people working that office were fantastic and my consultant, Sarah, congratulated me and gave me a huge hug! What? I'm a superstar?! Thanks. I have very mixed results after going to Sono Bella. My stomach was left bumpy and uneven. When I mentioned this during my follow ups after my procedure I was just told it would go away. It did not so i was disappointed with the final results as my stomach looked very disappointed figured. read more

I drove 1.5 hours, round trip toll and lost work hours to come here and not be seen at my scheduled time. I waited an extra 15 minutes as well. Not mad though because there will be another place to do what I am seeking. It's like they didn't even care for my inconvenience. I had very bad experience with them at Hanover , they kept me waiting for 50 minutes past my appointment time.. I requested them that I have another appointment but the front desk lady was very rude and instead of apologizing or make it fast she said ' you can reschedule your appointment, making me feel as it's my fault that I can't wait for an hour past my appointment time' I would not recommend them based on their dealing, I can't trust people who do not care about others time.. Really clean office. Friendly front desk staff and organized people. Yuhla is the consultant and just as sweet as can be. She is very knowledgeable and informed and works with your needs and budget. Of course she's gorgeous so you want to have the procedure done- she's motivating lol. I had my upper and lower abdomen and my waist (flank) done. $6700 I chose Dr.Banks for several reasons. I like a female way of thinking -she would know what I want to achieve. Her education and title of chief of plastic surgery at nearby hospital also impacted my decision. She is very professional and straight forward but also compassionate. I kinda had a panic attack over the surgery and wanted to cancel but after taking to Dr. Banks I felt at ease. She's wonderful. The surgery went well, I hardly remember because the Xanax and pain pills. I don't really recall severe pain after mostly because I took the pain meds on time. It is messy!! A lot of fluid comes out that they used during the procedure. I slept a lot the first two days. Day three I went to movie and dinner and was tired after and the garment is sooo tight! Rested day 4. Work in healthcare and returned day 5 mostly fine- tired and sore but not pain. Tomorrow will be two weeks and I'm really happy with results. No muffin top! It's gone. I did have a lot of bruising and still do but it's hidden so who cares. My abdomen is tingling and numb but not pain. Oh btw the nurses are great!!!! Compassionate and friendly!!! Communication with the company is excellent! They send emails every step. Before, during and after telling you what to do and what to expect. The only thing that I didn't really like is the sales mentality even though she's wonderful. I went for free consult and then to get better prices you basically sign on dotted line and I just feel like maybe I needed more time to really think about it but on the other hand I've wanted this over 20 years so the sales practice kinda pushed me into the decision so I guess that's a good thing!! I went in for consultation and oh my God was it the worst experience I've ever received. They not only overcharged me but by far greater than anybody else in assisted lipo by about $5,000 more than most other lipo companies. I talked to the manager named Sarah and she was very rude to me she would not help me out in any way shape or form and she said to me basically it's okay if you want to go out and tell other people that were the most expensive on the planet because it's not going to bother us in the least. And she said the only thing that I'm going to offer to do for you is give you a coupon for a certain amount of money to pay for your gas to come here and when I told her how upset I was and that I was going to be reporting her on Yelp she says oh I'm not going to give you anything then if you're going to go ahead and do that and she sent two security guards to escort me out of the building. I've never been treated like a piece of garbage in all my life. Stay away from this place it's overrated and overcharged and they're very rude to you. It's not worth it read more

I had my procedure done about 3 years ago it is one of the best decisions I've ever made; my only complaint would be that I had to go back for a touch up after about 6 weeks and the second time around I wasn't treated as professionally as the first time. The second time around after my procedure the nurse allowed another team of nurse to come in while I was dressing, she did not take me into a separate dressing room. I wasn't fully dress I had to get dress in front of a team of people which included a man. Then I sat in a wheel chair for about 20 minutes before they allowed me to leave. They setup my consultation appointment weeks in advance . Then verified the appointment on Friday for a Monday appointment. Then called me Saturday afternoon to tell me the person i scheduled with was not going to be availed till 3 pm oh did i mention my appointment was at 9 AM . When i asked why i was told that the original appointment was set by corporate who can not see the local schedule. If they can't see the schedule then how do they set the appointment just guess ? Then how do you confirm for the time knowing they are not available? Do they not know my time is important too ? I had to do alot at my job which i am very busy at to set this up . Recently had tummy, sides and skin removal -fupa- lol (currently one week post-op). I had been contemplating surgery for years and decided to make this a gift to myself. At me pre-op we went over paperwork, took measurements and pictures, went over procedure. They give you disposable bra and panties to wear for pics so don't be concerned. Day of procedure, was given medication and IV setup (just in case). Put on more disposable bra and panties and doc did markings. Was walked into surgery room and procedure began. Yes, you are awake during the procedure! At first I thought it would be scary but turned out ok. I chat alot when nervous so I was indeed a chatterbox. After lipo, the skin removal began. That was a bit uncomfy for me as I could feel it a bit in one area. Overall...took about 4 hours and I went to get breakfast after lol. Recovery: I found day 2 to be most painful. Not talking lots of pain...depends on your tolerance. Plenty of swelling and bruising but I made sure to shower and move around. DON'T STAY IN THE BED! Do: Wear suit and body wrap binder. Make sure binder is tight. Not unbearable but tight enough to reduce swelling. I wasn't wearing my tight enough and my swelling lasting longer so don't make my mistake. Staff: My doc called me the same evening I had procedure :-) Also, Sono Bello staff called me each day to check on me which made me feel better. Results: Still early and I'm finally wearing binder correctly so excited. Tips: Have staff list specific directions from your doc. The standard paperwork they give you is not necessarily what your doc advises (this caused my confusion). Have doc mark body wrap binder so you'll know how tight you should be wearing it. Move around...not extensively but walk around often. Eat light healthy meals. Always wear compression suit. Don't expect instant results. read more

Well to say I drove a long way for nothing is an understatement. Had an appointment for 11:15am, I showed up at 11:10 and still didn't get seen after waiting until 12:45. Then you have the receptionists and other people standing around doing nothing, not even saying/apologizing for the long wait. Decided to leave, because obviously my time is only worth it to me. I must warn you about this place. It is a factory and a non licensed person without a medical degree does your initial consultation and takes your money before you can ever see a doctor. Once I had my pre-op and got to meet my doctor (who is licensed and board certified) I was very clear about what I wanted to achieve. Body contouring only. I was not an outrageous case. I am 5'8/and 163 pounds and wanted upper/lower abs to get rid of a little poke, not hanging rolls,inner thighs and a more snatched waist. I did not have love handles or hanging fat. What I got was not what I expected. He removed too much fat from my stomach and I now have indentations and irregularities. The skin is not smooth. He also created indentations and hard lines on my waist. He didn't feather or graduate up my side for a smooth natural look. Also he only did the upper half part of my thigh leaving indentations as to where the lipo began and ended. He did not smooth it out. It was my expectation that you should not be able to tell where my lipo began and ended. Needless to say I am not happy at all. At my 6 month check up , which is the only time I saw the physician post op and I had to request his presence, I expressed my disappointment. He agreed to revisions, which is their policy, however, when I pointed out my stomach and asked how he would fix it he told me the only way to get it better was to gain weight. Huh?! The issue is he removed all the fat creating grooves and now he can't fix it because it will require a fat transfer which they do not do. I am not going back there for revisions be cause this appears to be amatuer work. I am not taking the risk that it turns out worse. I have had 4 consultations with different plastic surgeons post my 6 month appointment and all have stated that the work was extremely aggressive, and not in a good way and that fat graphing is necessary in order to smooth out my stomach. Now I have to subject myself to more surgery and additional work that wasn't necessary in the beginning to get decent results. More healing time and money! No bueno!! read more

I had a consult in January and have been trying for months to get scheduled for a procedure. I was willing to spend a significant amount of money but could not get a return email or call EVER. Today I was chatting with online help and got cut off with no follow up. I am done begging this company to take my money. I will find another business to go to. This has been a terrible experience from the beginning. I waited over an hour for my consult, but I was please with the person I met with. I wanted to look better so I had a consultation with the company staff who were very positive about the possibility of very good results . The entire office staff was amazing and kind and I booked a liposuction procedure for my abdomen and 'love handles'. At my pre-op, I met Dr. Samir Shureih, who was very professional and thorough. What I really liked what that his approach was "realistic" and not full of false expectations. I had the procedure one week after booking it (partially to accommodate my upcoming work schedule) and on the day of the procedure, the staff were, again, amazing and Dr. Shureih was, again, very thorough and his demeanor and professionalism put me at ease. It has been less than one week since the procedure at the time of this writing, but I can say that I only had slight discomfort and I am healing as quickly as can be expected and in line with the expectations that Dr. Shureih set before the procedure. I am returning tomorrow for my one-week post-op follow up and I look forward to hearing Dr. Shureih's feedback and comments. I see improvements already and look forward to seeing continuing improvements as I go through the recovery process (which, again, Dr. Shureih was very realistic about - and I'm finding my recovery to be right in line with expectations he set during our discussions). I did some research before my consultation appointment as I was looking at different options to treat my mid section. The staff is super pleasant, very nice and relaxing atmosphere. After discussing my needs with Yuliya decided to go ahead an schedule my procedure. I felt very at ease and confident that this was the right route for me, as I wanted something permanent. Had my Trisculp E/X on Aug 2nd. Down time varies per patient, mine was about 24 hours with very light movement, Right after a tried to re assume normal activity as much as I could without overdoing it. The staff, nurses and your surgeon will complete several follow up calls and you are sent home with lots of instructions. (make sure to read) they are key in your recovery. Dr. Banks was amazing, she took the time to make sure everything looks just like I wanted. Had my follow up appointment and again very nice experience with all the staff. The only I am not marking with a 5 is that the information pre-post can used a bit more of explaining, as it felt a bit rush. Thank God I did lots of research and reading before hand, as there can be very little steps that are so important for the overall recovery and success. In January 2018, I went in for a consult with SonoBello for a consultation for liposuction on the problem areas of my body that I have been trying to remedy with diet and exercise. I am not obese (BMI 26 at the time) and am a physician, so I know what is involved and how it's done, what is realistic, and what to expect from surgery. Otherwise, I am just like any other person who is considering plastic surgery to improve problem areas. I visited the location in the Baltimore, MD region, and endured a long wait for the provider I was scheduled to see. I know that physicians can get behind on their appointments for many reasons, so I didn't let that become an issue for me. After the consultation, there was a discussion of fees with the business manager, and here is my first warning. WARNING: They use "discounts," "VIP," and "if you sign today..." discounts to their package to pressure you to sign up and schedule a surgery date. If you decide to do this, understand the terms and conditions when it comes to the timeline for refunds, your medical clearance, and the surgery date(s). They will do everything they can to make sure they won't have to refund you money! My procedure was split between 2 surgery dates in February and May. I was a little annoyed and suspicious because I knew that it didn't have to be done that way. The procedure didn't need to be done over 2 days, but I deferred to the surgeon as that was her specialty. And since the anesthetic was sedation and not a general, maybe it was appropriate to divide the procedure into 2 days. WARNING: If your procedure is divided into 2 days, check to see if you have to pay a facility fee twice! WARNING: You will not have a follow-up appointment with the surgeon, just a nurse who will take pictures. After the first procedure day, I wore the garment as instructed and returned for the follow-up visit a week later. At this visit, I met with a nurse, not the surgeon performing the procedure, and they took pictures. I told the nurse that my lower abdomen had a harden hump that wasn't present before. She said it was likely swelling, and I told her that it was swelling and likely a hematoma and that I wanted the surgeon to see it. She said the pictures she took would be sent to the surgeon to review. I didn't talk to or hear from the surgeon until my second surgery day for the remaining procedures. I showed her the hardened area, and she said that she would be able to fix it that day by doing an excision. This would cost me an additional $3000, and I needed to quickly decide as we were about to start my second procedure. She guaranteed that the excision would take away the hardened area and make my stomach flat. The male nurse that day also was pushing it as the correction that was required to make my result better. This was a complication that was caused by her poor technique with the Trisculpt body contouring liposuction, not from my body's healing process. I believe that she forgot that I too was a doctor, an anesthesiologist, who frequently provides anesthesia for plastic surgery, and knows what should happen and what to expect. Again, I believed that she be motivated to correct her shoddy work and strive to make sure that the second procedure was done well. After all, I did my due diligence and researched her. She was appropriately board-certified in plastic surgery and ENT and had residency training at Georgetown University. I searched for and could not find any malpractice claims. WARNING: Look at before and after photos of patients who have had similar work done by your surgeon. My mistake was not asking her directly about them when I couldn't find any online. Sono Bello couldn't provide any either but claimed that they research their surgeons before hiring. I assume she practices mostly plastic surgery on the face and neck along with skincare procedures with very little liposuction body contouring. The second surgery proceded, including the excision of the hardened area on my abdomen from the first surgery. Again, this was done with sedation, not a general anesthetic as SonoBello doesn't provide personnel nor facilities to offer general anesthesia. So I was awake and aware, just a little "buzzed" from the medications. They wanted me to take additional medicines when she noticed how alert I was during the procedure. At the end of the surgery, I looked at the suction canisters and noted it was full of clear fluid (the tumescence they inject) with very little fat. Liposuction performed correctly would not leave clear fluid in the suction canisters. I said something to the nurse in the room (not the male nurse from earlier), who did not respond to my statement. Typically after tumescent liposuction, there is swelling, bruising, and leaking of residual fluid that was injected to help loosen and remove fat. This didn't happen. There was no bruising, no swelling, and definitely no fluid draining from the incisions. read more

My initial impression from the 1-800 call was very skeptical and i almost cancelled. Seeing and office consultant also made me leery. However my pre-op with nurse Reena and Dr. Onyewu was enjoyable and motivating. I also realized from my conversation with them that the office consultant was Very accurate. So I'd say the consultants are trained well, but they should explain to people that this is the business model - to speak/ see the consultant and not the MD first. That and some of the early experiences with front office staff is my only reason for 4* and not 5*'s! My treatment experience was excellent! I knew what to expect that day and because of my pre-op visit, I came to my treatment day excited! Also the weekly post-op emails I receive reaffirm what they said my healing experience should be like. So I really appreciate the emails. They were an awesome team that made you very comfortable. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Onyew/Reena! Fast forward months later- my results are great, I look good, I feel good, I am so pleased...and I'm only half way to what my final results should be! I was very impressed and my 3 day results are significant. I had my upper, lower abs and love handles done. I was terrfied but the staff was very polite and attentive and helped ease my mind. The plastic surgeons are all board certified that work at Sonobello so its the real deal. My surgeon was Dr. Horowitz. The pain was minimal during the procedure. Dr. Horowitz talked me through the whole process because you are awake. You will receive local meds to make the pain bearable however. I'm currently on my 3rd day of recovery and I couldn't be happier with my results. I recommend the Hanover, MD office at Buckingham Palace to anyone. I have to admit I was very skectipal at first but it's been well worth it so far. Make sure you take all the aftercare instructions seriously. Get the platinum aftercare package because it will minimize your swellen and bruising. I can't wait to go back to my 1st week post op appt. Please, please, keep in mind this is not a weight loss surgery but it will change how you feel about yourself and your appearance 100% , Only diet and exercise can help you loose weight. I did it! I was nervous as ever because a girlfriend in Houston told me she had her lower abs done and ended with a lumpy disgusting belly. I read the reviews on here and threw the dice. Got my arms, thighs, waist and lower abs done by Dr. Paul. He and his nurse, Reena, are angels in disguise. The procedure went beautifully. Dr. Paul is like an artist carefully and methodically creativity a work of art. I am on day 6 and feeling Grrreat! The insertion marks are practically healed completely and although I have swelling, I can already tell a difference. I really psyched myself into thinking this was a bigger ordeal than it was. Other than some soreness, which feels like I've had after working out, this is a cake walk! Definitely have bruising, but that was expected. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone whose considering it. I am 47 and wanted my hourglass figure back. You only live once! Why not flaunt your stuff. Go for it, Baby! read more
