Hotel Langhans has recently been renovated and although the rooms look nice and modern, there is a…read morelot of shortcomings that should be improved. First of all, NO standard CHECK IN DESK! The check in is ONLY between 12 and 6pm, when the 'Rezeption' is open and someone is actually there. They claim this info is on their website, but when my Husband booked three nights it was not written anywhere in the confirmation email we got, so beware! We arrived around 8 pm and nobody was there or picking up the cellphone. Nobody ever contacted us to let us we are about to miss the check in, even though they charge 90% for a no show! Very strange to be called a 'Hotel' and have these limited hours. Long story short, our reservation was completely botched and we never got our room, but were given 2 single rooms for a night. It was, understandably, frustrating. The rooms were very acoustic and you could hear every single sneeze through the thin walls. The curtains were see-through and the bed was super hard. I would not stay there again. I do appreciate the fact they did not charge us for these 2 single rooms to compensate for the nerves. I also like the Nespresso machine in the room. The place has a potential, but does not utilize it.
