5/11/21: We stopped here for the first time on our way to NC for a sweet treat. We got an Oreo shake, chocolate chip cookie dough mini blast, & an Oreo mini blast. Everything was delicious. We went through the drive thru & the order taker sounded annoyed. It was around 3 pm, so I'm not sure why she seemed so disgruntled. But anyway..,we were happy to get our treats. We got to the window and everyone we saw there were wearing their masks. They weren't overly friendly...just kind of blah. Overall, we didn't have a bad experience. 35 minutes for a hotdog. There are no cars in the lot. Seriously, 5 guys across the street is where I should have went. This was after sitting at the drivethru for 10 minutes with no response. This place is TERRIBLE! Please don't even bother stopping here. We stopped here as it's convenient off of Interstate 85. Spent $20, which ended up being a loss. And we waited for 10 minutes to receive food. The fries were terrible (cold and soft), the burger patty was chewy (may have been old), and the chicken bites were mushy. After this visit, I am officially done with Sonic. We have it a try after not being to a Sonic in years, it ended up being a waste of time with everything going in the trash. Employees here suck. Was told to wait for someone to come take my order when I pulled up to a stall to order. She told me someone would be out to take my order and that it would be a minute. So we proceeded to wait.... 20 mins... before another person pulled up beside me and was able to order right away. The new person who actually took my order was rude. Pretty afraid to even consume the order now. People are here are nasty. read more

Food was ok, the wait was horrible even though there were only 3 cars other than us and we could tell they were playing around instead of making orders. Guy couldn't understand anything even when we were yelling so they sent someone out to take our order. Even after that, they forgot items off of our order. read more

Horrible service and even worse wait time. They need a corporate visit to fix their operations. I saw two employees with their pants to the ground and undergarments showing. As well as a 30 minute wait with only a few cars parked and no drive thru line. The food wasn't even fresh I'm genuinely confused because the food wasn't "fast" nor worth the wait. read more

Absolutely disgusting. Bathrooms look like they haven't been touched in weeks. Ordering was a disaster, it took 25 minutes to get it. They forgot the fries but I drove away without them because I didn't want to wait any longer. Don't stop here in South Hill. Go anywhere else off this exit - literally any where else. We ordered a chicken sandwich without mayonnaise and received a sandwich that had clearly had the mayo and other toppings removed. You could still see the lines from where the knife scraped it. Naturally, we were back on the highway by the time we noticed. We just chucked it... Not worth even going back if they can't be bothered to make the food. Let me just say that this location is HORRIBLE & unprofessional, I recently made a quick stop on my way home expecting to get in and out . I ordered 2 milkshakes and the worker told us "it's gonna be a 10 minute wait she's getting the milkshakes made for the drive through first" ok cool we waited a hour almost 2 and went to the window asking if they were done, cause then we saw nobody was in the drive thru , just for them to then say "oh our machine is broke down" ...we requested a refund and they stated "give me a minute the computer isn't working" we was there almost 3 hours just to receive the WORST customer service ever . Sonic is usually a no-brainer for some quick, decent burgers. Well... not at this one. I ate there twice in one week and both times the food was just thrown together. My burger wasn't even fully wrapped and the guts were falling out. How do you do that and send it out? Fries and tots tasted under cooked. Both burgers were warm, not hot, and the cheese wasn't melted. I'm not a cook, but it seemed like they just had a bunch of pre-made burgers and would add cheese if needed. I couldn't even finish either meal. I gave them the benefit of the doubt once... never again. Employees weren't bad or great, so there's that I guess. read more

They always forget the onion ring that's supposed to come with the chicken tender combos, highly upsetting among other things.

The service is horrible every time I come it's over a 20 minute for something even if it's something as simple as a drink

While the things we get are always good, this particular Sonic is staffed by very rude people. We'd always thought this in the past, but we moved out of town for a few years and decided to try it again. Still treated rudely by the woman's voice on the drive thru as well as at the window. Took 12 minutes just to order food! Then waited 23 minutes for our order that was wrong. Whole staff seemed to just be having a bad day. This is second time in a month service has been bad. The hot fudge sundae I ordered was ok. All the fudge was at the bottom, which made it harder to get to, until my ice cream melted a bit. Wouldn't order that again. Customer service was excellent though. read more

To us it was pretty good. There isn't any Sonics in Northern Virginia, that I know of. And it was a real treat and good service.

I love the stuff from sonic and I love going there. They have gotten a lot better about remembering the candies in the drinks and stuff. The problem is that the slushie machine is broken, what are they, McDonald's. Their main thing is slushies but the machine is broke, it's outrageous. read more

Fairly new spot in this town. I stopped in for one of their foot long dogs that I have heard about but never tried, so I am a first timer for this chain. I asked about the dogs and was told to just read the board. Ok rude but ok. I ordered the Chicago dog not really knowing what they taste like. Well that's not for me. Not hot, thin, and stale roll. I just went there to order Cinnabon's Cinnasnacks and a breakfast burrito. The workers said that they don't serve Cinnabon's but when confronted they yielded and said they have them. And when we ordered coffee to go with it, the coffee had no sugar, no creamer, NOTHING except coffee. When confronted the worker said, "We don't do that here", are you f****** kidding me? Finally the breakfast burrito was a conglomeration of grease half folded tortilla, and what looked like chicken? When the breakfast burrito is advertised as having cheese egg and sausage. I had a very bad experience with this Sonic location, the person who was cooking the food who i hope was not the manager, was on her phone while cooking. VERY unhygienic and the service was very slow with workers standing around waiting for the cook to finish making the food. I've had my share of "unique" experiences at fast food drive thrus but this one made the top of the list. Stopped by on a Friday night to a packed parking lot and long drive through line. Im thinking they're just busy but as I began to wait in line, I quickly realized they were just super super slow. I waited in line for about 15 mins to order. I ordered 2 Sonic blasts, thats it. Finally make it to the window and paid. It took the lady at the window about 5 mins to count the cash id paid with. They gave me one Sonic blast and then I waited for 5 to 10 min at the window for the second one. The lady must've messed it up because she had to start over. She then proceeded to hand me the cup with ice cream dripping everywhere and without common sense of wiping it off or atleast handing me napkins. I had to ask her to wipe it off and for napkins because it was still a mess everywhere. I will never return to this location. read more

I live around here and I have to say that this is the worst sonic I have ever been too. I come up here a couple times a month and I order the same thing and I always have the same problem. they never give me the friggin RANCH to my pop corn chicken. I always ask for EXTRA ranch multiple times because this has always been a problem. well, I went there tonight and did the same thing, and here we are. NO RANCH. So, this sonic must have changed leadership or something since the previous reviews, because our order came out timely, and correct. We were on our way down to SC for the weekend, and had a craving for sonic. I got double burger meal with a Dr Pepper, and the wife got a lil griller. The price was reasonable and it came out within minutes, without anything wrong with it. This is exactly what I expected from a sonic, and the scratched the craving itch I had for sonic. read more
