I placed an order thru the app. It was sup to be ready at 6:06, we got to the designated spots for app orders and checked in thru the app with our spot #. We kept waiting and waiting, no one came. I got out trying to find a way to ask an employee what was going on, couldn't find anyone. I noticed the 2 doors marked "employees only" and peeked in the window where several employees ignored me. I went back to my car (now it had already been a 1/2 hour by now) and tried calling the restaurant SEVERAL times, no one answered the line. When we had sat there for forty minutes I decided enough was enough. I spotted an employee go out one of the doors on the other side, ran over and asked him what was taking such a long time, he mumbled he'll get the "manager". Sally comes out and says that she doesn't show my order up because I was not supposed to use the app to check in with the spot I was in, I was supposed to knock on the window to let them know I was there! I said that's the most ridiculous thing l've ever heard, I always check in thru the app. I said this is ridiculous I'm not waiting anymore, I want a refund. She tells me she can't give me a refund, I have to go thru the app, that she doesn't know where in the app but there should be a # to call, which she also doesn't know what the # is. I can not believe that this location is still in business with someone like this as the " manager"! She walked away from me as I was asking how to get my refund, and locked the door. Never got my food. I will NEVER goto this location again. read more

Terrible establishment. Employees turn lights off to deter customers then when you try to order you're told you can only order via DoorDash/Online and then when you order they keep your money and tell you they can't fulfill the order. read more

Said my order would be ready by 7:41PM, I ordered it at 7:30PM, it is now 7:50PM. I only ordered 2 drinks by the way.

After waiting 15 minutes to be served 5 of which being told I need just a moment I left. They do not value your time as a consumer.

Afternoon shift.. don't even bother. Line is 10 min per car truly wrapped around building. Morning shift is pretty efficient but red head dude always at the window, with a goatee is really rude & it's bizarre. Idk if always like that or just me but idk the dude at all. Guess they don't know how to put lids on so when he handed my drink to me, it exploded & dude didn't even offer me any napkins. He should fix whatever is making him miserable in his life. read more

Waited over 1 hour for shake, the workers really take their sweet time, and doesn't care to assist you. While waiting for so long, when we got our blast- the icecream melted as if it was a drink. Poor customer service and food. Never again! read more

Absolutely ABYSMAL. My partner and I will order from here every so often to see if it's improved, but not once has it. Always takes forever, and the quality is akin to garbage. DO NOT get the shakes, because they obviously do not clean the machine or check expiration dates considering the one I just got tasted like rotten eggs and bad milk. This place sucks, just go to Dairy Queen instead. Oh, AND THEY NEVER REMEMBER SAUCES!!! read more

Absolute trash employees and service!!! I ordered delivery twice in a row, once to replace the first mess up. First they give completely wrong burgers and give motz sticks instead of the jalapeño bites I ordered, so I reorder and AGAIN they give motz sticks instead of the effing jalapeño bites!!! Eff this place, never ordering again. read more

No indoor seating. Ordered a double cheeseburger and onion rings. The voice asked if there was anything else to which I replied, "a packet of salt ". Of course they forgot the salt probably because there is no key on their computer for stuff that has no charge. Only ate a couple of the onion rings as they were not that good. Normally when you order a double cheeseburger you get double the cheese. Not so at Sonic. The cheeseburger was Just Ok. read more

Why is it every day before 9:00 p.m. they shut off their drive-thru lights and their signs and they turn off their online ordering when it clearly states online that they're open till midnight it seems the afternoon crew and the night crew does not want to take care of customers I come there in the morning or lunch and I get the best service but after 4:00 you get no service and they want to close early and turn off all the lights if you don't want our business in this neighborhood why stay open read more

I placed an online order. Could not check in on the app, because the stall number came up as incorrect, so I went to drive thru, no one answered at the speaker, so I drove up to the window, I ordered a cherry lime aid with easy ice, instead they gave me a something with cherry flavor, no limes and mostly ice. read more

Waited 45 minutes for a shake that was melted. I definitely would not recommend going there.

Placed an order on their app. Pulled in 5 minutes later, parked in one of their mobile order pick up spots, entered what spot we were in on their app. Waited 30 minutes. Went in the unlocked front door to see if they even received my order, got yelled at by the manager to get out of the building (didn't know you weren't supposed to go in). Went back to my car then a few minutes later the manager came out with the order and claimed the app doesn't inform them that customers arrived for their order. I don't believe that. Do not go here, they do not care. I called their customer service line to inform them about this and their response was to offer me a free drink. They quite simply do not care about their customers. read more

Had some chicken nuggets (tenders?) from this Sonic tonight. OMG they were terrible. Overly salty & could barely detect any chicken inside all that over cooked, dry breading. I know that this place is know for their drinks. And the drinks are good. But how about putting some quality into your food? Just awful. read more

This place is only good for ice cream. I seriously wouldn't come here for anything else. The dogs, fries, hamburgers are a complete joke. I don't like the food at all. The service is ok, the weight time can be quite long. Aside from that, I like the ice cream a lot. My daughter gets the cookies n cream vanilla cup. I like the chocolate one. Again, ice cream only lol read more

Placed an online order, checked in at the drive through speaker, was told "please don't leave the line" only for us to wait 43 minutes, to get to the window and for them to tell us they "ran out" of the five food items I ordered but they had my coke... then tells me they can't give me a refund and the only thing they can replace with is corn dogs.... NO. So I just waited almost AN HOUR for you to tell me you only have my coke? WHY NOT TELL ME AT THE DRIVE THROUGH SPEAKER AND NOT WASTE MY TIME? Literally the worst customer service too. Yes this a review for a franchise fast food place but I just have to say I LOVE SONIC! Everything on their menu is delicious and the service each time is top notch. Although previous reviews aren't good due to the service, I beg to differ with my personal experiences. There is a certain standard of service for the fast food industry, but each employee here always has a smile on their face and is pleasant. It's the little things that also contribute to a good dining experience. I personally have never waited very long for any of my orders at this location. I love their sides & drink/shake options. I only have one complaint: PLEASE UPDATE YOUR DRIVE THRU MENU. The font is so small, it is not easy for anyone to read. In fact I never read it. I always pull up the menu online to figure out what I'm going to order. Just drive through your own ordering lane to look at the menu and you'll see what I'm talking about. read more

Severe stomach issues after eating here. Sonic food is always iffy at best but this time really got me going if you know what I mean.

Over 20 minute wait on an online order. It was only a drink order. Just a simple drink order.

Ah the fast food review. Is it important? Not really? But, if you happen to find yourself needing a fast food place due to circumstance, it's nice to know which ones are better than others. Well, this Sonic location is top notch. I'm not one to order hot dogs at a drive-thru, but Sonic delivers on the promise for a great dog. I've tried them all and they are all very good, but the outstanding treat out of them all is the Chicago Dog. Well spiced, put together perfectly, and it tastes delicious. The burgers are decent as well. Again, I'm not a huge advocate for fast food, but when I have to stop Sonic burgers are damn good. I'd put them ahead of McD's and BK for sure. If you are lucky or are just a pro and know when they have them or not, you've got to have some of the Cheddar Bites. No, they don't always have them, but when they do they're so good! Lastly, they shakes and other crazy beverage concoctions are worth a try, especially during the hot weather months. So, if you're in the need and want something other than a Big Mac or Whopper, give this place a try. read more

I've been to this location multiple times but I've never written a review. First of all I must say they have delicious shakes and malts and slushes in almost any flavor or flavor combination you could imagine. Trying to decide which one to choose can be a dilemma since so many of them sound so good. I tend to stick to the basics of grape, strawberry or cherry though. I highly recommend trying the shakes and malts as well. I'm a chocolaholic, so I always get the chocolate flavor. I know... I should branch out and try new flavors! For the vast assortment of beverage flavors, it's well deserved of five stars just for that. Oh and we have been there during their happy hours on their drinks. Not alcohol happy hour so don't get too excited. Lol! Service is always relatively quick. The convenience of ordering and paying at the card reader attached to the menu board in your own parking space is super convenient. There is of course a drive through as well or you can sit at one of their picnic tables and order from a stand alone ordering machine. Now, my last visit was a different story. We placed our order of 2 hotdogs, a mini order of fries, a vanilla shake and a root beer. A simple and quick fast food meal, right? Yes, I know, not the healthiest choice, but I don't eat here often for that reason. After placing my order, I tried several times to use the card reader so I could pay but it wasn't working. I used the call button and told them about my problem. They informed me it was 'down' and the carhop would take my card inside. Umm.... not something I like to do. Parting ways with my card gives me anxiety. Why didn't she tell me about that immediately after I ordered so I didn't waste several minutes trying? Obviously they were having the issue, but then not to bother saying anything as I sat there getting frustrated trying it over and over. Argh! We waited for what seemed like an extra long time for such a simple order. Then when the cars next to us were receiving their orders after placing them after we did, I was losing my patience. Finally just as I was about to flag a car hop down, our food was delivered and off she went with my card in hand. It was returned in a timely fashion, but it was still an uneasy feeling having my card out of my sight. The food was fine for fast food. Lots of ice in the pop as I forgot to say light on the ice. I hate paying for a little bit of pop in my "cup of ice"! All in all, not bad. Why three stars? I took one away for not telling us about the card reader problem in advance and another one away for the slow service when everyone around us was getting their orders before ours. I'll be back for a slush soon because we ride our bikes up here in the summer and like to sit and relax for a bit and enjoy the icy cold beverages. read more

Sonic Drive-In - "SuperSONIC Bacon Double Cheeseburger" with one patty - Burgers Near Me - Shelby Township, Michigan

Sonic. I mean, hmm. When Sonic first came to Michigan I was like oh my gosh amazing and now I'm just kind of like meh. My main reason that I go to Sonic is for their ice cream. It is actual real ice cream, and it is actually really good. The downfall is it in a little bit pricey. But keeping with the you get what you pay for concept, I guess it's worth it. Their slushies are also fantastic and I love that you can mix flavors how you want or even mix all kinds of flavors in your pop. But with a lot of those free-standing machines now where you can get a coke with whatever flavor you want, I guess that's not that Innovative. But Sonic did kind of have that concept first. This Sonic can be really slow it can also get really busy, but it can also be super fast. It's right off of Hall Road right next to a Meijer and I don't know if you can fault the location for when it gets super busy especially on a really hot day. Overall it is a okay. I don't really like any of the food here, so I wouldn't really recommend it as in my opinion it is overpriced and if you wanted a burger you could get a better one at McDonalds. So stop in if you want but especially stop in if you want the ice cream. read more

Unfortunately, there's a reason why this location has such awful reviews. I decided against my best judgment, but of course I soon realized why Yelp was correct -- This place really is that bad. Located in the Meijer's parking lot at the corner of Hall and Hayes, this Sonic location delivers refreshing (maybe??!) drinks and fast food ..... at a snail's pace. Boyfriend works late nights and together we have tried finding food options at random hours, without breaking the bank and without one of us making said food. After driving by almost daily I decided we should try Sonic. I haven't been in years, as had he, so we were up for the challenge. We pulled in around 11:25 -- about a half hour before closing. We don't like to be "those" people but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. The drive thru menu is almost impossible to read. I suggest looking online ahead of time to figure out your order. The employee didn't greet us with a nice "hello" but instead opted for the always great "what do you want?" She really made us want to come back again and dine at this classy establishment -- Not. We eventually ordered our items (3 piece chicken tenders and a grilled chicken sandwich and we each had slushies to drink) before waiting in line for them to be ready. 20 minutes in line and finally the food was ready. Was it worth the $14 charge and long wait? Absolutely not. The chicken sandwich was sad looking and pale, with no taste or extra spice. The chicken tenders were good, thankfully, but the sizing was weird. All 3 tenders were on the smaller size. The drinks also lacked flavor and mostly got thrown away. Maybe it's because of the random hour I was here or maybe this really is how this place is ... but I don't think I'll be back for a bit. You can find better food at better prices almost anywhere nearby. read more
