Good Summer flavor drinks and food is solid as well. Sometimes they are under staffed but that's not their fault really. That is a Societal problem for every business nowadays! But the food and drinks are really solid! We like to go thru in the evenings and grab a Peach Tea! read more

I've been to the Saint Albans Sonic 3 times in the last 5 years. Five years ago, I arrived at the drive through at 9:45 PM and got no welcome or any sign of life. Tooted the horn and was greeted with: "Yeah! What do you want?" I'd like to order, I replied. "We're closed" What time did you close? "Ten o-clock." It's a quarter till ten, right now. "OK. What do want?' He didn't try to hide his frustration. I told him not to bother and it was 2 years or more until my next encounter. Long story short, this time, (daytime) a smart-ass girl/woman obviously had something more important to do other than take food orders from pesky customers. I got to the pick-up window and asked to speak with the manager. She/he didn't have time, or so I was told. The third and last visit ended with a request for a refund when the woman at the window shoved the bag of food at me with an abundance of attitude. Outrageous prices, crappy food and even crappier service, I honestly don't understand how they stay open at this Sonic. They are a disgrace to their company's name -- and anyone that has worked there knows that my commentary comes with absolutely no exaggeration. read more

I'm surprised this location is still open, service has been poor for years, food pretty good when they get your order right, remodel didn't fix anything read more

While out yesterday, I found myself in St Albans and opted to stop at Sonic to grab my favorite soda Coke with Cherry & Lime. I decided to also get an All-American Hot Dog that is mustard, ketchup, onions & relish....and it was very good. The service was faster than before so I would definitely give them another try again. I miss my local Sonics I had in Nashville, they were actually my neighbor read more

How is this place still open!! Garbage service from a both of teenagers with zero adult supervision. Long waits in drive thru !! Don't even think of pulling up and parking to eat ! No one will come out for your order . Should be zero stars !! read more

Service was good the employee working the window was really kind. The food however was awful. I ordered the coney combo. Hotdog was cold, along with the tater tots. Inedible honestly, cooks need to do better. read more

We came here to get grilled cheese and fries for my son. He was very hungry, but took a couple bites and refused to eat it. Grilled cheese shouldn't be difficult to make well, but I took a bite of his sandwich and thought it was pretty gross. I'm glad I didn't order him anything with meat in it. Would not recommend. read more

This was the worst excuse for food I have ever had! $25 spent and couldn't eat anything! Anything was deep fried tasted like the grease was years old! The bacon on the BLT was black and like dust when you bit into it! Horrible! read more

This was undoubtedly the absolute worst customer service that I have ever received. It's requires a - review. 07/26 @ 2:45 pm. Mobile order. The female working the drive through was speaking derogatory about me, what she didn't know was that when she slammed the window, it was cracked. So I returned the favor. Didn't get my order, have t been refunded. Sonic HQ was contacted and I haven't spoken to anyone inside of the USA in regards to this situation. I love Sonic but no one in my family will ever spend another cent at any location. Uncouth and proof that even trashy, foul mouthed can be hired. If she wasn't speaking about me, it was about another paying patron. Either way. So if you're reading this, remember some people match energy. I'm just sorry that my elderly Mom had to see me act of character. read more

I try this Saint Albans Sonic from time to time thinking they might have improved since my last visit. Nope. I can't help wondering where they are able to consistently find people with crappy attitudes to work the drive-thru. When I pulled up to the speaker one time, I actually had a person ask: "What do you want"? This time, the 'don't-give-a-shit' attitude came at the window. I got a couple of the 1/4 lb burgers on sale for $1.99 each and besides seemingly sitting around for an hour or more, the burgers looked like someone smashed them down after wrapping. I asked for no pickles, which was a waste of effort. The fries were nearly room temperature. I should be thankful the workers on the food line aren't doing rocket science. If I had paid regular price at $3.59 each for the burgers, I would have returned and demanded a refund. I really don't know how they stay in business because I cannot imagine that management knows what's really going on -- which is a total failure on their part. read more

The staff are always aggressive and rude normally I wouldn't mind that but they are also unbelievably slow. I've waited 30 minutes for a corndog before. read more

I do love their food , convenient, per use to eat from there pretty often . Until I saw a cock roach in my bag ! Clean it up or shut it down ! Sorry read more

Decent. Glad they brought it back after several years sitting empty. Typical Service and food from the chain. Beats going to McDonald's. read more

The food was great and the service was friendly! I enjoy being able to relax in my car, listening to my music, and talking with friends plus when I need anything I just press the red button. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Burgers Near Me - Saint Albans, West Virginia

Consistently bad service. Consistently. It's just atrocious. It's slow when you park, it's even slower at the drive through. It got worse every time I went. The last time, I had to wait 30 minutes for a milkshake. There won't be a return trip. It's even slower than the St. Albans Dairy Queen, which is saying something. read more

I'm in my car I push the button and the person on the other end kept saying is that all I think she said it 5 times. Kind of annoying. I kept saying no. I think they they should be saying is there anything else I could get you. Instead of is that all. read more

I had a rocky start to my experience today but without question they have more than made up for it. Great customer service. Will absolutely be back. read more

Still very disturbed by how bad my order was. I go to sonic all the time back home and decided to try out the sonic in WV since I'd been missing it and I hadn't realized there was one so close to me. Got my usual order. My chili cheese tator tots were sooooo salty. They were inedible. It was like the salt shaker busted open while they were seasoning it and they were just like F** it let's give it to her anyway. As in there's no way y'all thought that was a normal amount of salt. The mozorella sticks were dried up and tasted like they'd been sitting around for hours. Even my cranberry limeade slush which is usually bursting with flavor was bland and watery. I'm still not over this experience and it was literally months ago, pre-COVID. Hope they've improved since then but I value my money too much to try again. Eww read more

Here is the thing. Sonic is a 50's style Drive-In restaurant. Using the drive thru here is not going to be a great experience, because the place isn't meant for that. Also, of course you're not going to get a refill on your Ocean Water or Cherry Limeade. If you don't like how Sonic does things that's fine, don't eat there. I like Sonic because they have great deals on drinks. First it's happy hour with half price slushes, then it's half price shakes and ice cream slushes after 8pm. Every Tuesday is half price cheeseburgers and this Thursday they are doing 50cent corn dogs! Sonic has great promos and deals if you know when to go and when not to. I can get a large shake and share it with my wife and have a fun and affordable treat after a night out or a hard day. On the weekends we like to go for happy hour. The fact that you get to park you car and chill out before you order, without someone being up your ass with their truck, or having the pressure of some angry jerk breathing down your neck waiting for you to order is very relaxing. I could sit in that space for 10 minutes before I order my food and it won't piss anyone off. No one ever touches my credit cards, and they bring the food out to me. Oh, and if the order is wrong, I can push a button and someone is there to fix it since I'm eating in my car with the engine off. I have seen folks outright demand to be seated on the patios of restaurants that have them, what's stranger about eating fast food in your car? Sonic is a laid back location for people to eat that are tired of fast food joints. I can roll up my window and listen to the music I want to, or I could bring friends and eat on the goods and trunks of our cars. It's fun to pay $2.50 for a giant milkshake and 50cents for a corn dog and have someone bring it to you. $3 and you have a fun night out unless you just want to sit at home without a milkshake. read more

This was beyond a doubt the absolute worst service I have ever had at a restaurant! I waited at the speaker for 20 minutes while the person taking the orders took a SMOKE BREAK!!! I have to wait another 10 minutes before they take my payment, then another 15 minutes before I get my order, which was of course, wrong! Everyone was standing around talking, there was trash on the floor and the milkshake station was disgusting. The app won't let me post a review without giving at least 1 star, but they certainly don't deserve it. That's the last time I go there!! Buyer beware!!!! read more

If you're OK with whatever they feel like making and getting what they give you rather than what you order In about 1.5x the time it should take then it's worth a stop otherwise you're better off somewhere else. Good example they are currently running a constant commercial for their shakes, they are open until 9 o'clock and they've already shut their shake machine down for the day at 6 PM. Not an uncommon occurrence. read more

This is the most unorganized place I have ever seen. Total clusterfudge every time I come in here. Never get your order right especially in the drive thru. Its almost laughable. read more

The food was ok. It's just difficult to enjoy eating outside. Jesus created indoor tables and chairs for a reason. Go inside and eat damn it! Oh and it does suck that they don't give free refills. You pay close to $3 for a drink and can't get a refill??? Give me a break. read more

I just got a sprite and m&m milkshake tots and mozzarella sticks it took them 10 minutes to bring me my food and I was was in the drive thur. I asked why it took so long and they said "we had to wait for the food to cook". I doesn't take 10 minutes for the food to cook. I work in a food restaurant and it should take like 3-5 minutes NOT 10!!! Sonic in Saint Albans is very slow. I am not happy with the service at all. read more

They have no idea what they're doing. They aren't aware of the items on their menu and will argue with you about what they offer. Expect a long wait, even if you're the only one there. It's just been consistently terrible service. read more
