I always enjoy Sonic food and have visited many in different cities and have never had the issues I have had from this one Drive-in. If I could give this a Zero, I would! I visited this store tonight with my family. Their lobby is locked permanently. Their stalls go unanswered (though no signs state they're closed) and they only take orders through drive thru. They also told me they have no drinks available. None. We had placed our order online via your app, planning to eat at a stall and because none of them worked, had to go thru the drivethru to pick up. Upon letting the drivethru person know, he told me they didn't have the order and that they have nothing to do with the app, it's a third party app and to ask "the app" for a refund. We are saving to buy a house so we have a small "eating out" budget. This was that budget for this month. They wanted me to order and pay again, and then request the app refund me for the first order. I didn't have money on me to order again, at sonic or anywhere else and we were 40 minutes from our house. They were very rude and dismissive. I then called for a refund and after 40 minutes on the phone I received an apology and was told she couldn't refund me because it was over $50 so she had to give it to her supervisor who would email me and let me know if I could have a refund. First time here, all around positive experience. My food was fresh and hot, the service was friendly and quick. No complaints and will definitely be back. I had the strawberry milk shake, honey BBQ chicken bites and vanilla iced coffee. I thought the iced coffee was delicious, I would 100% purchase again. The chicken bites were a good size, nice quality meat inside. The shake was also delicious, nice flavor, thick, so thick it can be hard to eat with a straw. I've probably been here 5 times. Most of those times were for something specific they were advertising on TV. This time I was here for the Oreo ice cream from their commercial. It is supposed to be vanilla ice cream, Oreo cream, Oreo cookies on top, and a chocolate Oreo cone. For the most part, it seemed like it was just vanilla ice cream in a cone, with some crushed Oreos on top. The cream is the part I really wanted. It was less than $3, so it was fine, but I was pretty disappointed. But when I got to the bottom of the cone, I finally got some of that Oreo cream! I'm not sure if it was only in the bottom, or sunk to the bottom, or what, but if that had been the whole way through, it could have been really good! It's just fast food, so no one has super high expectations, but I've been disappointed with everything I've had here. The line also moves pretty slowly. After you place your order, there's probably at least 5 minutes until you even get to the window to pay. The shake was pretty good, however the burger was disappointing. I ordered off Grubhub because I didn't feel like going out. First of all, I had to put cheese on my cheese tots. It's like they literally put a half inch of cheese on top to make it look like cheese. The burger was all wrong. I ordered the Sonic cheeseburger and was delivered a sandwich with bacon on it. Half the menu sign was not working but there were laminated copies on the counter. The second time I ordered on the app which would only allow me to park in a booth which are not in service. The third and fourth visit took 30 plus mins at the drivethru. However, the first time we went to the Ridgeview location, they were out of bread for the toasters, buns for hot dogs, and apparently buns for burgers. One said they were short someone who had just walked out (although we had just seen her walk out to the back of the parking lot to grab someone and bring him into the shop with her, there were two cars in the parking lot up front, and two cars picking up orders in the drive thru). The second location said drive thru open, had 3 employees hanging out out front, but when we got to the drive thru, it said they were closed. So, yeah. We inhaled our greasy food with the speed of light and adjusted our belt buckles to make room for our beloved ice-cream dessert. We offered one another the final few bites of the peanut butter blast. I kept it simple and got a cherry limeade, figuring that it should be safe. As we approached the drive-thru window I immediately took a quick yet hesitant sip and realize that something is wrong. My husband tastes and acknowledges the same. The cherry limeade was all fizz and no syrup. We told the kind lady at the window and two other people stood behind her in disbelief. We were told that they just tasted it and it had to be fine. She hesitantly remade my drink, and shoved it toward us with no apology. It now occurs to me that this "Sonic dream" is actually a "Sonic nightmare." I pinch myself to no avail, but I just can't wake up. I think it's funny that Buffalo is so over-excited that they're getting a Sonic, which is kind of cool for me too because I love the fresh banana shakes... when just down the road in Da 585 yo, there is a thriving, shiny, sexy Sonic already established and doing well. The best things about Sonic are the prices (cheap shakes, and half price after 8 I think), the banana shakes, the limeade is okay too. Cherry Limeade. Yum. Very sweet though. However their food is utterly awful and even those aforementioned excellent drinks are a little hit or miss. I'll have to try some of their other shakes for comparison's sakes, but I recently ordered 2 Fresh Banana Shakes from here and a Limeade, and I honestly enjoyed the Limeade more. I'm not impressed at all. I'm working in the area so I decided to stop in for a hot dog as I am a big hot dog fan. I pull in the parking lot and there are no cars in the lot. I chose to go into the dining area because the wait was shorter. That, and I had never been to a Sonic had one before. There was a line, but it moved relatively quickly. I think between waiting in line and waiting for my food was a total of 20 min or so. Not exactly fast food, but again, to be expected during opening week. I've been to other sonics, but having it Rochester was a novelty to me. The food was alright, but I've had it better. I'll blame that on them being super busy and just trying to get everyone out of there before closing. The dining room could've also done with a cleaning, but with how busy it was wasn't horrible.
