The chocolate and mint chocolate chip combo is the move. Trust me. Get them together. The chocolate was really good, although mine was a little too firm for my liking. The mint chocolate chip, however, was exactly the right texture and really good. Put the two together and you have yourself a winner. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices were about what you would expect compared to other ice cream shops. Nothing complicated here. Good ice cream, friendly people, and a name that apparently brings out my inner 12-year-old. Come get your beans or your creams here.

While visiting my parents in CenLa, I was delighted to see a Freddy's location in both Alexandria and Tioga. I got a Peanut Butter Bananza concrete, and it was fantastic, just like the ones I get in Kansas. Service there was polite and efficient. When I got home my burger was just lukewarm and my fries were "cold", while my wife's Patti Melt and fries were still hot. I had to nuke my fries for 30 seconds...they got hot ....but! I thought I got the end of a batch of fries that had been setting under the lamp while my wifes fries were a fresh batch! This was the first time I had ever gotten cold fries from Freddy's! BTW I love the oldies playing.

It seemed old. The fries were not very good, also seemed old or something. This is really one of the worst fast food burgers I've ever had, which was very surprising. My previous experiences with Dairy Queen's food offerings were very positive. I used to go to a DQ in Fort Worth all the time - my personal favorite was a Frito-Chili Cheeseburger. But, they don't have that here at MacArthur Dr. in Alexandria. I definitely won't be back to this location to eat. On the other hand... Blizzard: 5/5. I also ordered a Blizzard, and it was awesome. My previous experience with Blizzards is that they freaking rule, especially Mint Oreo. This was no exception - Blizzard was a win, and somewhat redeemed my experience...but not entirely.

They meat still lacked flavor. I didn't care for the long sliced pickles on the burgers. It was hard to tear into with each bit, same thing with the raw onion rings. I think if they are going to leave them as rings, they should be thinner to make it easier to bite into. Also the fries were seasons, but they are way to small. They put you in the mindset of those canned potato shoe string snacks. This should definitely be changed.
