Stopped by for a bite on the way home. Food was okay nothing to write home about. When we got our food two tater tots where missing so we had to get their attention and finally succeeded by going inside. They brought them out soon after. We ordered through the app and that seemed to throw them off a bit. Next we decided to have milkshakes. On the app it stated they were half off after 5:00. When we got them we where charged full price. They told us it was only during June. Manager didn't even come out to apologize just sent the girl out that brought our food. Don't try and sit on the patio to eat unless you enjoy the company of several gnats sharing your dinner. A problem that could easily be solved with a bug zapper or two. Awful awful awful service!!! Ordered via app 10 minutes before arrival . Pulled into stall to notify of my arrival. Waited another 20 minutes while watching the drive-thru clear out several times. Pushed button to notify again. Was told that had to let them know I was there. Told them I did and that they told me a carhop would run it out. This happened more than once at this location. When questioning the delay, employee responded with smug remarks. Food is hit or miss. Sometimes good, often not. From no on, I'll be utilizing on of the several other options in the area. Too many choices to settle for poor service, pot luck on quality and smug responses. read more

Feel like a better words this food is dog shit. The only thing I would recommend getting there are their shakes and Diet Coke. The last three times we've been there everything is cold and or overcooked. I haven't been to a Sonic in years, and this one in particular I haven't been to since it opened. It was a lazy afternoon and we had an unexpected hankering for a corn dog. We did the car hop ordering process instead of online or using the app because the car hop is what distinguishes Sonic from other fast food places. I did notice now that we are firmly committed to smart phone apps that the ordering process seemed dated. But in a quaint way so it was good! We got our corn dogs and realized how they're able to keep the calories low. They were like 3/4 size (maybe even 5/8ths but definitely larger than half size) of a normal hot dog. I guess you could say they were the super sized version of a Vienna sausage. At any rate, they were very good and did the job of satisfying our corn dog crave. We also got a small shake and a small blue coconut shark week drink. We should have gotten the mini size because the smalls are substantial portions. Together it came to nigh ten bucks. Due to the distance from my house, and the abysmal mpg my car gets, I likely used 3 gallons of gas. So those little corn dogs cost me $25. I will tell myself that those were the best corn dogs ever lest I need to use my EAP benefits LOL. read more

Many issues with inconsistent service but I keep coming back for the food! Went thru this Saturday and a VERY nice person took and filled order. The outside card reader said my card payment was approved. Nice person but stated the payment did not go through. She put it through again and told me to call if both charges came through on card. Forty minutes later, I called to notify Sonic that my card was charged twice. I talked to the Manager who insisted that this could not happen. She asked for my receipt number and then HUNG UP ON ME. I did receive a refund for one of the two charges. The Manager was very rude and should not be client facing. UGH! read more

Just got a milkshake at 7:22 pm. Only 2 other cars in lot. 2 workers outside on break. Would been 1/2 price as shakes are just that after 8 pm. Waited long enough it should've been free. My kiddo was screaming. Took 13 minutes to get one shake. Unacceptable. I started to drive to window at 7:35 pm. Girl comes out with 3 shakes. Different girl than 2 not working and outside. She has 3 shakes. Apologized said it took too long bc had a lot of shake orders. I've made a lot of milkshakes in my life and they don't take an average of over 4 minutes per shake. I also had exactly $5.29 ready for her to make her job easier. Only ate half of the large shake because it was awful. Receipt read "crmry van" and it wasn't very good. Tasted not like vanilla beans from Madagascar and just full of artificial flavorings. Expected a little better. Not the world but not as horrible as it was. Last night, 08/16, I pulled up to the drive-thru as my gf wanted something to eat. This young woman working the speaker told us that their system was down and that they needed to get it up and running for a few minutes. I told her that was completely fine. We sat and sat for at least 10 minutes with no update or even "sorry for the inconvenience" from the employee, passing the time by joking around. My girlfriend made a slight screaming sound as a reaction to a joke, and suddenly we heard "please DO NOT yell in my ear" from the speaker! Wait, the drive-thru speaker is THAT sensitive? If it was, then this incompetent woman should have used this "high-tech tool" to apologize for the delay instead of assuming we were being abusive. If the manager reads this, the woman working the drive thru on 08/16 around 10pm needs to either receive a significant, long-term pay cut or fired for her non-existent customer service skills. Two stars for pervious experiences here with employees who were actually decent human beings. read more

We stopped here for a sweet treat on a summer day. I had 3 gift cards that I had for a long time so our treat would be free. How cool is that?? We pulled into one the parking stations. I was going to use the payment processor to check the balances on my cards. The processor was broken. I ordered a Brownie & Cookie Dough Blast. It took awhile for our order to come. It was only 2 Blasts and there were only one or two other cars there. When the young lady came to bring us our ice cream I handed her two of my gift cards and said "Hopefully one of those will work." She took my cards and came back a bit later and said one card was empty and the other had $2 left so I still owed $4. I handed her the third card and she went to try that one. A bit later she came back and said the card had worked and told me the amount left on the card. I tipped her for taking the time to check all of my cards. All of that could have been avoided if the card processors worked. I was told that a lot of them were broken. My Blast was ok. Nothing to write home about. It had tiny pieces (smaller than a tic tac) of brownie and cookie dough. They were only halfway through the ice cream. There were no pieces in the bottom half. We used the carhop service and parked. When ordering, the girl was quick and repeated our order to the t. Our food came out in maybe 6 minutes. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, fried were done and drinks were good. The carhop even CAME BACK to check on us and if we needed anything else! When does that happen? Never! The reason why this location doesn't have 5 stars is because of the entrance / exit. You actually have to go through kings parking lot to get to sonics, ugh. Great place! We came here after some shopping and drove-thru. We didn't "drive in". The service at the drive-thru was quick, clear, and easy. My friend ordered a hot dog with onion rings and I got a #1 cheeseburger with everything and fries. My friend's onion rings were a good size and they were delicious. My burger and fries were so good too! None of the food broke the bank, which is a plus! I decided on a last minute milkshake and ordered a peanut butter shake and not only was it more than enough, but it was really REALLY good! It was probably the best shake I've had in ages! I drove down to this Sonic from Pittsburgh in the hopes of grabbing an Ice Cream shake. When I showed up all the lights were off. As I walked up to the patio area the employee comes out of the shop and tells me that I have to leave because they closed at 9am because 2 of their employees walked off the job today. Even though I was not able to indulge in their food this gives me insight on their management. Obviously the manager couldn't be bothered to serve patrons, or call in other employees. Also the employees must have been treated pretty harshly just to walk off on a middle of the shift. Maybe I will try this place in the future however right now, after driving 30 miles, I will have to give it a low score for a huge disappointed trip. read more

I would give this location zero stars but there is not an option for that. I normally do not have such a bad experience to where I feel the need to write a review but this one pushed me to do so. I was in the area and decided that I could go for a milkshake, so I decided the closest place to grab one would be Sonic. I went through the drive thru and ordered some food for my family as well as popcorn chicken with BBQ sauce (which was not in the bag) and a brownie cookie dough master blast. I received the food then waited while the master blasts were being made. Here is where the problems began.. while waiting for my master blast I noticed an employee who had brought up a bowl of the brownie pieces to put into the ice cream. My only thought was that they probably ran out and needed some more up front. The thought quickly turned into anger when the employee holding the brownie bowl turned around, another employee who was NOT WEARING GLOVES, placed his hand into the bowl to grab a few pieces then place them into his mouth. The employee who was originally holding the bowl then proceeded to scoop the brownie pieces into my master blast. At this point, I knew I was not going to accept the master blast. So whenever the lady working the drive thru opened the window, I informed her of what happened and she began to give an attitude and her response was "No, he used a spoon". I informed her that this was not the case but she kept saying "I saw him use a spoon to put the brownie into your drink". I had to inform the woman working the drive thru window that it was not the employee who brought up the brownie it was the employee in the grey shirt. Without apologizing she said "oh, he ate some". There wasn't even an apology from the employee who seen him place his bare hand into the bowl then still served the brownie in my food. NOTHING! The shame is, who knows how often this happens throughout that day that we don't see. This is definitely the last time I will be visiting Sonic. read more

If you're on Route 19, the entrance for Sonic comes up very quickly; if you miss it because of a lack of labeling, you need to go about two miles down to the next traffic light and hang a u-turn somewhere. I visited at about 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, 01/21/17. Two cars in front of me in the drive thru, and it took 20 minutes to receive a small banana milkshake. If they ran out of something and had to make more, theh should have instructed the first (and maybe second) vehicles in line to pull up. The servers were not friendly in the window.
