This is one of the first places I ever even legally purchased alcohol, back in the good ol' days when the drinking age was 18 (and this was in the 1980's), and I was 18 and I would roll up in this place (Probably jamming to Whitesnake on audio-cassette) and buy a daiquiri and I felt like such a big boy, such a grown up. And the daiquiris were good then too...still are, I just don't get 'em as much anymore, obviously, because I'm in my 40's...and a man... It's funny though, in all that time (almost 25 years now-gosh!) how many countless businesses and ventures have come and gone here locally in that time? And yet this sucker is still standing? Wow. What is it that they say about liquor and longevity?...Actually, I don't know who "they" is, and if there really is such a saying, but there should be one, and it should apply to this place...I was buying drinks here when I was in high school...HIGH SCHOOL!!!! Easy to drink and exactly what you want when you're just trying to relax and cool off. What stood out to me is how interesting it is that only in Louisiana you can pull up and get a daiquiri through a drive thru. Definitely not something you see everywhere, and it makes the whole experience that much more memorable. The spot itself is casual and easygoing. I LOVE that they sell Grey Goose Vodka and Patron Silver Tequila in 200 mils at $9.49 and $12.99 plus tax, respectively. I bought 200 mils of New Amsterdam Vodka for $2.99, which I will utilize when making the best Bloody Mary you've ever had in your life (It's a meal!) this Saturday morning!
