I've came to this location a few times in the last week (visiting family for the summer) and service has been excellent! My last visit, I stopped by to grab a plain cheeseburger for my daughter, Kyler delivered the food and was super friendly!! Hiring great help is one thing but hiring help with a great personality is like hitting the lotto! A shout out to management on keeping things running so nicely. I love this Sonic because they support the high school -- athletics, band, scholars -- and that is a wonderful thing. The new site, right off the Blvd, is so much nicer than the other place. And... that's where the good stuff ends. As much as I would love to give Sonic a 5-star rating, bottom line is that it's a food-service business, and they totally suck at food service. Due to it's oh-so-close locale, we go there quite a bit. I would guess that our order is incorrect 70% of the time. Their biggest gaffe is to charge you for a large drink, but bring you a medium. Usually, I'm stopping here on my way somewhere else, so I don't have time to wait for them to correct it. And wait... you will. They are in a huge hurry to take your order, speaking so fast that I can hardly ever understand them. But bringing it to your car, or servicing the drive-thru... bring a book. Finally, if you order a corn dog (and who doesn't like Sonic 'dogs), make sure you check it before you drive off. More often than not, the 'dog is grossly undercooked. Final tally -- 5 stars for community support, -3 stars for crappy food and super slow service. Really hoped the new building and the new competition (new Chick-Fil-A next door) would cause them to step it up a notch. But, not so. read more

I can't express enough how disappointed I am with this Sonic. I had long ago swore myself off from ever giving my business to these owners at their previous location, but have been venturing back since the opening of the new location. While the new location is beautifully built with all modern amenities, the incompetence of their management team hasn't improved at all. As a southerner, I have frequented Sonics all across the US since a small child and I can assure you this is the worst of all I have visited. At any given time you can expect to wait twice as long for your food, and you must keep your fingers crossed that your order is first correct and second actually cooked completely. I made a good faith effort with the opening of the new location and put aside their precious reputation. After around 5 visits at their new location, I can safely say that I will never return. Tonight after waiting a full 25 minutes for me order, I requested a manager. When telling the manager that I had been waiting for 25 minutes for my food and wanted a refund, she flippantly said, "ok, I'll be right back". When she returned with my refund she asked if I had ever gotten my food. I told her no. She then proceeded to tell me that it's sitting inside and she could bring it out of I still wanted to buy it. My mind was blown. Why ask if had received my food if you knew it was still inside? Why not apologize for the extreme wait for a single item with drink? Why not bring the food with you initially? Regardless, I told her no and just wanted my money back. She smiled and said okay and walked off without even a hint of concern that I was upset. This is just one of many failures at this establishment at both locations over the years. I was hopeful a new location would prompt the leadership with improve service, but it's still beyond pathetic. Based on my experience at other Sonics, it's obvious that the staff are unmotivated and the managers/owners are incompetent at running a business. read more

Waited 40 min for food. Pushed the button multiple times to tell them I hadn't gotten my food still and I was still there. Last time person said they didn't know I was there. What? When it came half of it was cold! Called the manager and was polite to her although I was upset that 40 min of my day off was spent on this. I could have sat down at a restaurant for this time. Manager was just kinda saying "yes mam" to appease me. And I get it. It's fast food - no one cares. They should have made it right when they brought me the food- offered a coupon or at least brought the food out hot & fresh. Will go to other locations now. Voice at the other end of the speaker, "Oh, its right here on the tray, do you want me to bring it out?" Me, "Well, no, why would I think you might do that?!" Sheesh. This has to be the single worst sonic ever. From food that's cooked improperly to car hops who don't think to bring sauces to the car, this place quit caring a long time ago. My order included sweet tea, which was not sweet and a burrito that was not made the way I ordered it. I could barely understand the person on the microphone, so it's no wonder the order was wrong. I live nearby and keep coming back thinking my disappointment is just isolated. Nope. Every time I go I regret it. Horrible timeliness. They mess up orders regularly. You may as well go to the other side of the Arkansas River and drive back; the food will be better and you'll get back in the same amount of time it takes for this Sonic to serve you. I would give this business a zero star if it were possible. My daughter and I just tried to get food at this Sonic Drive-In here in Maumelle. It was the worst experience that I have ever had at a Sonic or really any other fast food business. We waited for over 30 minutes and even checked in about our order after 20 minutes. When we pushed the call button at 30 minutes and that I wanted my money back as they were bringing food to cars that had arrived after us, the sonic personnel told me that it was "just a drink order." I had watched the order and it was clearly a sack with something in it and a drink being delivered to the car in the stall next to us. We did not have a big or special order (just cheeseburger, tater tots, and a corn dog). I would categorize the service as awful and the communication with their customers as extremely poor. I will NOT go to that Sonic again and I don't recommend it unless you want a long wait and bad service. read more

This has the be the best Sonic I've ever been to! I'm visiting and decided to stop here before training. They have a playground, drive thru, and then the area you can park and order. I ordered a Jr. Breakfast Burrito, and I have to say that it is the BEST breakfast burrito I've had from anywhere and knocks my local Sonic off the map. Ok. I waited 20 minutes this morning for a bacon toaster. You weren't that busy. You'll probably remember me because when I placed the order I said frozen lemonade. You said strawberry lemonade. Food is typical Sonic food. Good and fast. However, you have to watch them for accuracy. If you ask them for a burger with no cheese -better make sure they didn't put cheese on it. Little things like this on nearly every visit make me hesitant to go back. read more

Worst Sonic ever! Husband went Sunday night to get us a quick supper. Waited 20 minutes watching hardly any orders coming out. A lot of workers just standing around inside. When order finally came out and he got home (we literally live 5 minutes away) it was cold. I had ordered jalapenos on my burger. i didn't get any but my husband got them on his chili dog. He didn't order jalapenos. His tater tots with chil and cheese were mushy. Would like to say this is uncommon event but quite the contrary. We have not been to this Sonic in a long time since we have had so many bad experiences but since it is so close to home we gave it another shot. Big mistake. Won't happen again. read more

Love this sonic, the chili cheese coneys are on point! Their milkshakes are always amazing and always wish I had ordered a second one! Their servers are sweet and I've never had an issue here and even if I had I'd get over it! Because sonic is awesome and it's hard to beat awesome! Remember tip your server and KCCO!!! read more

The only reason I give this Sonic a 1 rating is because, their isn't a 0! This the WORST Sonic I have even been, too EVER!!! Food is never prepared correctly and taste horrible! I thought the other day, I'll order a ice cream cone. The guy made my ice cream and handed it to me with his HANDS ALL over the CONE....from.top to bottom!!! Absolutely the worst place to eat in Maumelle. Employees that want to laugh and goof off rather than work. Dry and burned burgers, ordered a coke and got a root beer. Slowest drive thru ever! I ordered one medium drink and sat in line forever, I actually watched someone pull into the car hop ordered the same drink and got theirs before I ever even got to the window. They ought to utilize the car hops to run out drinks to people in the drive thru to speed up the process. read more
