If you're into loaded teas, coffee, smoothies, or clear protein drinks, this place has plenty of options to get that energy flowing. I tried one of their secret menu items -- "The Lockjaw." It's a wild mix of green apple, cucumber margarita, blue raspberry, and grape. Super refreshing and definitely wakes you up. If you like sour taste buds, I RECOMMEND IT!! To finish it off, I also grabbed "The Genie" -- it is made with berry protein, blueberry, and banana. Smooth, fruity, and a nice little protein boost. Our waitress was very friendly and respectful, answered all questions, and made suggestions. Unfortunately, most of the menu items I tried were a hit or miss for different reasons. The charbroiled oysters were ok, but some had too much cheese and not enough flavor. My seafood trio came cold, and cold fried food isn't really as enjoyable. Some others at the table dishes were also cold. The catfish is actually swai. That is highly misleading, especially in Louisiana. It should simply be labeled "fried fish." In addition, my pros were as follows. The salad is really fresh and delicious. It was so good on its own, all it needed was a little salt and pepper. The bread pudding was soooo good, I loved the sauce. Having it warmed was also a huge plus. Overall, some minor changes could definitely boost this spot's rating.

Get the breakfast burger if you can. It's amazing. My mom choked on her food. Like literally choking and turning blue unable to breathe kind of choking. I had to vault the table to give her the Heimlich maneuver. It took WAY TOO LONG for ANYONE ELSE to help. Nobody did anything except ask if she was okay and that was after she'd been choking, after I'd had to save her life. What if I hadn't been there? She then proceeded to very delicately leave the check on the table. Seriously? The staff needs more training.
