I just left de sonic facility. Everybody is doing such a great job. I don't think that the reviews on here reflect the hard work they put into giving us our fast food. I respect their hard work and I also understand that they are the only ice cream shop in Buckeye. Right now it's Sunday right around 7 PM. If I could give zero stars I would, every single time I go I am there AT LEAST 45 minutes even if it's for one or two drinks I keep trying it because it's so close to my house and every time I give it a chance I expect something different but no always the long wait and cold food. Terrible service. I was picking up a DoorDash delivery near closing time last night. I went to a stall and young lady said I needed to go thru drive thru. I said ok and gave her the name on the order. As I was pulling out of stall to go thru drive thru they turned off all the lights. I got to window and the 3 teens in there all saw me but ignored me. I figured they might still be preparing the food so I waited and waited. I tried waving at them after a while and they would look at me and just ignore me. One of them came by the window but went straight to the door and locked it. If you were closing why tell me to come to drive thru and then why. It let me know thru the window. Ordered a small and medium cherry slush and a mini cheesecake Oreo shake. Got the cherry slushes, but got a large shake instead of mini. When they gave us our slush I took a sip and got a whole mouthful of straight syrup, when we opened our slushes we found they had not mixed our drinks at all. If it was possible to give negative stars I would. I went here last night 6-16-23 for ice cream. I pulled into one of the stalls and tapped the button for service. And then waited for what ended up being 15 minutes. Some pudgy kid ran food out to another stall and I tried to ask if the stalls were working but he walked past me like I wasn't talking to him. A few minutes later a smaller kid came out and told me the stalls weren't working and that they were only doing drive through looking at me as if I was the problem. So I backed out and got in the drive through line. 4 cars and another 15 minute later (and no.... Those cars never got food.... They just waited until they gave up and left) and now it's my turn to order. A simple Ice cream order later and I was told to pull forward. After paying at the exterior card POS, I was again forced to wait for 5-7 minutes with not one of the 4 employees (all of whom appeared to be 15-17 years old) came to the window to acknowledge my existence. Through the window, I watched as one kid did all the cooking, a female was wandering aimlessly, the fat kid leaned on the counter about 70% of the time, and the kid that told me the stalls weren't working mindlessly scrolled through his phone Finally phone scrolling kid opens the window and asked if I was the guy that ordered the burger meals. After saying no and saying I got the ice cream he said "oh ok" and then disappeared for another couple minutes before coming back with 4 ice creams and no drink carrier expecting me to apparently stash the ice cream throughout my car. Food is at best average. And the service is as slow as Christmas. I think the workers just play on their phones and chat instead of working.

It's a toss up on whether you'll be waiting 5 minutes or 45 minutes for your food here. The staff is really friendly but I don't know what takes so long. Usually, placing a mobile order means you're waiting longer which is kind of the opposite of what mobile ordering is supposed to do. I've been to other sonic locations around the valley and this one is fairly consistent in running extremely behind or forgetting our order completely while I've never had any problems at any other location. The food and price are just not worth all the gas I'm spending idling in the stall and it's too hot 3/4 of the year to simply roll the windows down. read more

I should have read the review before I went ....there's other restaurants down Watson and Yuma but I was on MC 85 and I do like Sonic ....but this one don't go ... Don't waste your money it's terrible first of all I had to wait for the person in front of me for 15 minutes and instead of them pulling them aside they didn't... so by the time I got my food it was not only disgusting but it was very cold . If I could give less than one star I would. This location regularly "losses" my mobile order. It takes 20-30 minutes after the pick up time and our arrival. VERY run down. Has that "unkept, vandalized" look. Half the menus are broken, busted or covered with black trash bags and the staff didn't seem to know anything about the condition of the drive-ins condition. Most the lights are missing, broken or burned out. Screens were broken and discolored or just turned off. Had to back out of two stalls just to find a stall with a menu that worked. I've been driving for the last 5hrs. and saw this Sonic. I ordered a plain grilled chicken sandwich with just lettuce and onion rings. I waited for a long time so I thought for sure it's going to taste so good. WRONG chicken sandwich was not hot so I can tell it was already cooked. Lettuce on sandwich was hardly any on it. Onion rings tasted like cake batter which got me to look at the menu again. Im thinking someone ordered French toast sticks and then my onion rings went in the same oil. I'm 8 months pregnant and y'all are close so I've given this location more chances than I should have. It's literally the worst fast food place I've ordered from. Ever. I get that you were busy. But we had a small order and we waited 40 minutes. I even called around the 30 minute mark and was told they'd check on it. I called again 8 minutes later and apparently they gave our food to someone else and didn't tell me about the screw up. So I'm 8 months pregnant and nauseas with two young kids in the back who both had accidents because we waited so freaking long. I don't care if you're busy. There's no excuse.
