We went to go get a BLUEBERRY Lavender lemonade! When we got there the lemonade looked grey/clear and tasted just like pure lemonade. We pressed the button and said that they forgot to put the flavoring in. When one of the staff came she said " We do not have papers work for blueberry flavor " and that the lavender was in there. We came to the Sonic in Basehor specifically to try the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade. What we got was honestly just a letdown. The drink looked almost clear/grey (see photo)--nothing like the vibrant drink shown in the app (also posted). It tasted exactly like plain lemonade. No blueberry flavor at all, and barely a hint of lavender. We pressed the button to ask about it, and the manager came out. She told us, "We don't have paperwork for a blueberry flavor," and insisted the lavender was in there. It was clear she had no idea what the drink was supposed to be. We even looked it up right there, and sure enough--it's supposed to have blueberry. It's frustrating when even the manager doesn't know what they're serving. Between the inaccurate drink and the lack of helpfulness, this was a disappointing visit. If you're deciding between the Sonics in Tonganoxie and Basehor, hands down, Tonganoxie is the better choice. The Basehor Sonic is consistently disappointing. More often than not, they either can't make your order correctly or serve food that's cold, soggy, or missing ingredients. Even when they do get your order right, the portion sizes are often smaller than expected, and the food just lacks that fresh quality you'd expect from a fast-food chain. In contrast, the Sonic in Tonganoxie always delivers hot, fresh food. The service is consistently on point, and I've never had a bad experience there. The food is always prepared just the way I like it, and I appreciate the quality and attention to detail they put into each order. Honestly, I'd rather drive the additional 10 minutes to Tonganoxie than deal with the frustrations of the Basehor location. If you're craving Sonic, make the trip to Tonganoxie--you won't regret it! read more

I can't even give this place a star. I have been here at a maximum of 6 times during the hours of 1:00-3:00 to take my daughter to get lunch. In the past few months and none of the stalls work and even the drive through is a hit or miss, no one answers ever. The customer service was asked why no one answers the intercoms and they said uh I don't know let me get you a manager and no one ever came out. They looked out the windows. My husband and I chose to go through the drive through today. I know better than to leave this location without checking our order, but we needed to get home and hoped that today the screw ups would be limited to giving the incorrect amount of napkins, salt, ketchup, and mints, per usual, so we quickly checked to make sure all the food was there and left. He ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Tots and a Coke. I ordered the Chili Cheese Coney with Tots and a Coke. 5 minutes later we sit down to eat. The Tots were warm at best and not crispy at all, which is not a surprise at all anymore, the breading on the chicken sandwich was falling off, which was a new experience for us, but the worst was my Chili Cheese Coney. The manager had no explanation for why the Coney literally looked like it saw the back side of the chili spoon barely scrape along the edge of one side of the bun except for an inch long spot at the end containing a tiny bite of chili and a bare pinch of cheese in a thin dotted straight line down the center. I wish I hadn't been so angry that I forgot to take a picture of it before my husband wasted gas going back up to get it replaced. This Sonic is so poorly managed it seems no one knows or cares about what they are doing. Today they were singing and dancing around inside instead of doing their jobs correctly. Yes the crew is mostly teens, and yes it's fast food, but we pay for the food and it should be the priority of the workers to deliver it as it should be. I'm sure we will continue to keep trying now and then, but now instead of just complaining and getting our food remade every single time, we will take pictures and leave reviews where we can so people know what to expect from this location. Sonic itself is an awesome restaurant with tons of food, drink, and treat choices, but I would advise everyone to avoid this one. There should be 1 napkin per meal item, 1 salt per fry/tot, 2 ketchups per fry/tot/onion ring, and 1 mint per main meal item (sandwich/coney etc). Definitely would not recommend. Customer service is terrible and cleanliness means nothing to them. Cleaning procedures are not in place and many employees lack personal hygiene. I was flipped off by a MANAGER while waiting for my food. (yes, it was aimed towards me, we made eye contact). Another manager brought my food out and BANNED me from the lot because a concerned family member called the health department. This store is the definition of rotten to the core. They make the best drinks here. My cherry coke is perfect sweet cherry carbonation combination. They seem like they could use some help as they can be slow I waited 10 min for a drink but with Hops like Boston that bright my drink with a smile and then a sincere apology for the wait. I want to recommend this place after new management took over because it was absolutely terrible before I had just moved here and wasn't sure what was going on until joining a local group talking about it. Then this lady said she was going to make sonic better and it was for a little while. Now I go and there's something little wrong every time. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken patty looked like it was moldy/on deaths door I've never seen a more gross looking chicken sandwich in my life. I've worked fast food and would not have served that. Tonight I went again. Ordered cheddar bites WITH ranch.. that's what you order.. decided to just double check. No ranch at all. So I pull through the drive through they are still 45 min till close so they shouldn't have been so angry but the girl who brought my order out acted like it was the biggest inconvenience of her life to let her know I didn't get my ranch with my order. They need to have people learn their menu before letting them take orders! We told them no sauce on a sandwich the girl said there is no sauce even though the menu board clearly stated buffalo sauce. So then we had to wait for them to come to our car pick up the ones we don't want and then they make new ones.
