We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found this for our second kiddo and can't believe how amazing the teachers, the classroom, and the support system is. Its through this school that he's learn to be brave, kind, and a leader. Of course he's learned some interesting subjects and brought home LOTS of art pieces. To start off, the parents are wonderful and I've made lifetime friends with a few of them. My son has also made friends that are so impactful, we schedule play dates to ensure their friendships continue to grow. The teachers are kind, patient, and knows how to motivate the kids to be their absolute best selves. My son calls me by his teacher's name all the time since he loves her so much! The teachers are all personable and hilarious and they naturally get to know every student AND parent on an individual level. Daycare is tough for parents since we entrust individuals with our kids and we don't know what they're doing all day. our kids may not know how to communicate (or just forget). Brightwheel is the app for all parent/teacher communication and they're very active in uploading photos, calendar events, reminders, and direct messages. There's always so many photos and synopsis of their projects, it's nice to be able to ask our kids on the details on what they did that day. Despite the open lines of communication, teachers and Ms. Kim always make the effort to talk to parents if issues arise or just to say some perceptive comments about our kids. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I truly see this childcare center as a community! The Newark city department workers are involved with events ( i.e. fourth of July parade, Santa visit, etc) and parents volunteer their gifts if they feel inclined. I've had only one other experience with a daycare and Ive felt that this daycare is established and dialed in. In comparison, i've never had my child complain about being bored or even cry during drop off. The teachers are collaborative and response and ensure we, as parents, are informed of our kids progress. You won't regret visiting this center!

Staff- We loved Ms. Cindy and Ms. Linda (both have left) for the 2-3 yr old class while my kid was there. They were energetic, caring and knew each child very well. We would always be updated with how the day went for my kid. With the current teachers for the same classroom our experience has been neutral. We never received one on one feedback from them as to how my child is doing and they never seemed to be involved in the activities. It was more like they are doing but not really enjoying it.I am glad my child didn't stay in their care for long. Teachers in the older kids classroom( where my child was until recently) are just awesome. We particularly interacted with Ms. Hema and Ms. Mariam and always received detailed daily reports with warmth and smile. Ms. Hema knows each of her kids' in and out and makes sure the quirks are attended to. That is such a comfort when you leave your kids for the major part of the day. Ms. Alma is the leader of all activities and events (and there are plenty to keep the kids busy, excited and involved). From chinese new year to christmas and everything inbetween she hosts the best events I have seen at a daycare. Kids are equally involved and helps develop their creative sides. Food- Breakfast and lunch are provided with rotating menus. Each meal includes a good balance of carbs, protein, fruits and veggies. menus are posted on the wall for reference. Facility- Spacious, well lit and well ventilated classrooms.Backyard is big and secure and the ground is made of artificial grass which I prefer vs. sand or wood chips. Large parking area for pickup and dropoff. Overall I really love this little flowers and its wonderful staff. As I search for a new school I would really miss and look for all the things mentioned above.

Miss Thiru, her teacher in the Lilac class, has been absolutely incredible -- a perfect blend of warmth and discipline. She is both loving and firm, which is exactly what young children need to grow, learn, and thrive. We feel truly lucky our daughter had her as a teacher this past year. The daily schedule is thoughtfully balanced with Montessori activities, worksheets, and play. The worksheets have been especially helpful in building her number and letter recognition, as well as her logical thinking skills -- all while keeping her excited and engaged. The outdoor playground is spacious, and the kids love their time there. The only suggestion I'd make is to add some shaded areas, as the summer heat can get intense during the 2-hour outdoor window. Our daughter often comes home visibly tired from the sun. Overall, we really love the school and the nurturing environment it provides. Grateful for the foundation it's building for our daughter's learning journey!

One thing that has been a delightful surprise is his love for dance. The school has weekly dance sessions where the kids are taught a new song and routine regularly, and he now dances at home with so much enthusiasm. It is wonderful to see that kind of joy come out of him. The summer camp experience was fantastic. The kids were exposed to a variety of outdoor games and activities that kept them engaged, active, and excited. The science fair was another highlight where our son got to present on the solar system, a proud moment for us as parents. The curriculum also covered the life cycle of a plant and all its parts, which he came home talking about in detail. It is clear the teachers make learning interactive and memorable. The themed weeks are a great touch. Each week has a focus area, and the kids do art and craft activities around that theme. He always comes home with his artwork, which we love keeping. Story time and circle time are clearly favorites for him too, and we can see how these routines are building his listening and communication skills. What stands out just as much is the staff. Every single morning and evening, the teachers greet both the kids and the parents with warmth and genuine happiness. The energy they bring is infectious, and you can see it reflected in how cheerful the kids are. We never drop him off to a quiet or indifferent environment. It always feels welcoming. A special mention to the wonderful team of teachers, Aparna, Fatima, Hinal, Laxmi, Pooja, and Aamina, each of whom has contributed to making his time here so enriching and fun. We also want to highlight Teacher Ratna, who went above and beyond during what was a significant transition for our family. We are relocating back to our home country, and she handled the entire process with such grace and genuine care. She prorated our tuition without hesitation, prioritising our situation over any financial consideration, and was consistently supportive and understanding throughout. That kind of integrity and human touch is rare, and we are truly grateful. Communication from the school is excellent. We receive updates every other day on the WhatsApp group with photos and a rundown of what the kids have been up to. As parents, that kind of visibility and transparency means a lot. The progress report they shared gave us a clear picture of where he stands developmentally and what he has been working on, which we really appreciated. Overall, this has been one of the best decisions we made for our son. He is learning, growing, making friends, and most importantly, he loves going to school. Highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing, engaging, and communicative environment for their child.

What…read moretruly sets this school apart is its incredible team of teachers and caregivers who never give up on a child and always go above and beyond. When we returned from India two years ago during winters our son had a particularly hard time adjusting to his routine again. The patience, love, and dedication the entire team showed during that time were remarkable. They worked tirelessly to help him settle back in and made him feel like part of their family. Today, he absolutely loves all his teachers, and that speaks volumes about the care and affection he receives every day. From the very first day we toured the school with Miss Kamal, we felt confident that we had found the right place. Her warmth and the confidence she instilled in us during that initial visit made a lasting impression. That confidence has never wavered. As parents, it was incredibly important to us that our son receive the same love, attention, and care that he would at home. Green Apple has given us exactly that. Knowing that he is happy, safe, loved, and well cared for while we are at work has been priceless. We have also been incredibly impressed by how flexible and understanding the team is. Whether we need to pick him up early, or occasionally reach close to closing time, the warmth and care they show him never change. From breakfast and lunch to snacks and all the little moments in between, they make sure he is happy and comfortable. I have never seen the teachers lose their patience, even during challenging moments. They are consistently loving, patient, and attentive, and they genuinely recognize and nurture each child's individual strengths. A very special shout-out to Miss Komal, Miss Jiya, and Rabiya! Your love, patience, dedication, and genuine care have made such a remarkable difference in our son's life. Thank you for always going the extra mile, believing in him, encouraging him, and making him feel loved, especially during the challenging days. You have been so much more than teachers and caregivers; you have become an extension of our family. The warmth and affection you have shown him will always be remembered. You have played such an important role in his early years, and we will forever be grateful for everything you have done for him. As our son prepares to graduate, we feel incredibly grateful to the entire Green Apple family. These are not just teachers; they are the people who helped shape his earliest experiences, build his confidence, nurture his strengths, and lay the foundation for his future. We will always cherish the role they have played in his life. Green Apple will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We would love to stay in touch with his very first teachers and caregivers, who have been such an important part of his childhood. We couldn't have asked for a more loving home away from home for our son. The teachers are warm, kind, encouraging, professional, and very knowledgeable about child development. They don't just focus on academics -- they pay close attention to each child's independence, social skills, emotional growth, and individual needs. Their yearly evaluations are thoughtful, detailed, and clearly aligned with children's developmental milestones. My child had a speech delay, and with the support, patience, and encouragement from the teachers, he made incredible progress and was able to catch up with other children his age. We also had an IEP program through the school district, and every time the district teachers contacted Nature's Gift to understand how my child was doing, they were always impressed by how well his preschool teachers knew him and understood his development. One thing that really makes Nature's Gift special is the way teachers truly engage with the children. In many preschools, you may see children running around on the playground while teachers supervise. At Nature's Gift, you will see teachers actively playing, interacting, and building connections with the kids. They are present and involved. The school is also very clean and well-maintained. Teachers constantly wipe tables, clean the environment, and remind children about hygiene, including cleaning hands regularly. We are so grateful for the love, care, and guidance our child received here. Nature's Gift has helped our child grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. When we started our search, we actually did the deep dive research and found that there is no other preschool in the Bay Area that maintains a perfect 5-star reputation on Yelp. So, why is Nature's Gift so exceptional? Having watched our daughter grow there over the last two years, here is why: 1. Heart Over Everything: Ms. YinYin, the school director, emphasizes quality and love over everything else. Unlike the big preschool chains where it often feels like the focus is on revenues or rapid expansion over the actual kids, Nature's Gift stays true to its mission. In those corporate settings, you often see teachers just snapping pictures to please parents instead of actually taking the time to work with the children and show genuine care, not Nature's Gift. 2. A Genuine Community: The teachers are all incredibly loving and truly care about the kids--as a parent, you can literally feel that warmth the moment you walk in. Our daughter's experience was so positive that she would even ask to go to school on the weekends. That's the highest praise a kid can give. 3. Authenticity Over "Shiny" Facilities: To be fair, the facility is small; it isn't some brand-new, "shining" building like the chains. But we quickly learned that the environment is built on substance and love, not just aesthetics. Looking back, my wife and I both agree that sending our daughter to Nature's Gift is the single best decision we've made as young parents. If you want a place where your child is truly loved and not just a number, this is it.

We noticed right away how much more confident and independent our child became after just a few weeks. The environment is calm, thoughtful, and incredibly well-prepared. Throughout the changes in staff, it has consistently remained good. That is, until now. I do not understand what compelled the school to change to a new directress that has admitted that she has no experience whatsoever in heading a school. At first, I decided to give her a chance. Maybe its just being new to the job. But it has just been a constant disappointment for me. The reason why I send my kids to montessori is because I love the teaching style. Teachers should be observers and guides to the students -- not lecture them on how to learn. The first day my child came home from school, he told me, the teacher scolded him. He explained why and I said next time dont do that. And then he explained that they were taught as a group, lectured. Like regular school. Not a montessori school. Why would I send my kid to montessori if it was like this? Why pay for this? The emails are also not very professional and lack information. There is a lack of effort as to the reminders of events. There was supposed to be a halloween parade but there was no info as to what time. And upon arriving there, there was no preparation as to the music or what. During zoom parent teacher conference, we did not yet finish our call yet but another parent was already let in to the zoom call, forcing us to wrap up our call. I never see her during the mornings or afternoons. Previous directors would always be there. I feel like there is a misstep here. Appointing a directress who is so inexperienced that it leaves much to be questioned. I hope someone can fix this soon.
