Even as I've always notified them of bacterial and viral infections (as all parents should do), and furnishing them with copies of his lab test results! They say that they post notice up inside of the building (in the hallway windows/doors of the classrooms) whenever an infection/disease is reported, but I have NEVER seen one anywhere. The education is a joke. My child experienced serious regression in his learning once he began attending there. There is little to no education being taught there for young children. They don't have the time for it! They are always at or exceeding max capacity while always being understaffed. It's all 1 person can do to keep diapers clean, and even that is a struggle because my son always came home with either diaper rash or irritation under his diaper. Also, hats off to grandparent that commented on the behaviors and attitudes of the staff! The front office staff are indecent, two-faced, unscrupulous/unprincipled and FULL of bad attitude. They're all fake and play favorites. If you're not a favorite then you're served with constant disrespect, repeated accounts of infringement on your civil rights as a parent/parental rights, fed full of lies, and disregarded just like a piece of trash. They also act like they have more authority over your own child than you do. I know for a fact that they have pissed off A LOT of parents there. I wish more parents would come forward and bring awareness on what it's really like having a child enrolled there. At least a young child.

Her teachers accept her for who she is and they embrace it. Our youngest started in the infant room and I never once had to worry about a single thing. The best, top notch teachers I have ever met. I also respect and appreciate that they don't sugar coat things, if my child was having behaviors the teachers are very professional and take the time to talk with me about it and how we can work together as a team to improve the behaviors. We attended NTLC for about a year and a half after coming from another daycare where we had a…read morereally difficult experience. When we first started, my son was 3 years old, and we truly loved his teacher. He adjusted well, was happy, and we felt like we had found a good fit for our family. Things started to change when he turned 4 and moved into the Pre-K classroom. During his time in that class, there were 3-4 teacher changes, and the lack of consistency was very difficult for him. We started seeing more behavioral struggles and tried to work with the school to figure out how we could support him together. Unfortunately, we often felt like communication was lacking, and we weren't getting a clear picture of what was happening during his days there. By the time we were made aware of the full extent of the issues, his behaviors had escalated to things like hitting, biting, and trying to leave the school. Even then, we felt the severity of what was happening was not fully communicated. A few months before they decided to unenroll him, we started receiving more details about what had been happening. These were things we felt should have been documented and communicated on the days they occurred, rather than being shared months later. We provided multiple plans and suggestions and truly tried to partner with the school. However, it often felt like our ideas were dismissed with a "we can't do that," or they would try something once or twice and decide it wasn't working. There was no consistent approach, and we never felt like everyone was working toward the same goal. This experience was disappointing because we genuinely wanted to work together to help our son succeed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend NTLC for children who are strong-willed, struggle with transitions, or need additional behavioral support. If your child does not fit the expectations outlined in their handbook, it felt like the staff struggled to determine how to best support them. While there were staff members we appreciated, our overall experience was that the communication and support from administration were not what we needed during a challenging time. We also found that questions and feedback were often met with defensiveness rather than an open conversation focused on finding solutions.

There is a priority placed on independence and self-sufficiency. Children are allowed to improve in many skills and abilities. Countryside Montessori School has always made this possible for our children, and we keep great peace of mind in knowing our children are safely cared for as they explore. Communication is frequent. There is transparency and connectivity for parents. They prioritize each student and the students as a whole. They truly are an extension of our family experience as opposed to something completely separate. It is incredible to see my children suddenly be able to take off their diapers and actually throw them away starting at 1.5 years of age. It is overwhelming to see my son accomplish tasks like cleaning his room, putting away his toys, helping with laundry, because he spills with pride in himself. My 1.5 year old daughter cleans up spills she makes and demonstrates sincere kindness to others. There is also little better than feigning ignorance and allowing my son to proudly show me where his locker is and how to put away his possessions on his own. When I drop off and pick up my son, I am able to witness him put away his possessions, go to a task that suits his interests, but also educates and challenges him. He doesn't need an adult to hold his hand through this process, though many are also readily available should he need help. My son can hold meaningful conversations with adults in ways I have yet to see from most children older than him in my time as a teacher. This school is different from other schools, and I love this about Countryside. This is the purpose of Montessori education. It is the reason my husband and I picked this school. This ownership and pride is the most invaluable thing Countryside Montessori offers to my children. Mrs. Fuess and the faculty here are always positively involved with the kids. I have personally witness a patience and attention with these children that I am amazed at knowing how challenging it can be to work with kids(as a parent I want to study their Jedi ways!). This school may not be what every parents wants. But for those looking for something that can support their children in these ways, they are an incredible resource and school. I know they have great ideas and possibilities for the future of the school as well which I look forward to!
