    Westview Real Estate's handling of security deposits is truly fraudulent. They withheld 93% of my…read moredeposit for just one year of tenancy in a building built in 2003 and rented to tenants for over 20 years, without accounting for normal wear and tear. I requested both a comparison of the damage charges for the tenant who vacated the same unit in September 2024, to establish a baseline, and aggregate data showing the percentage of deposits returned to tenants in this building for 2024, but they have refused to provide it. The absence of a deposit appeal form or process, coupled with the inflated deductions, suggests that the organization operates in a fundamentally dishonest and exploitative manner. It's astounding that such practices are still happening in 2025. Renters deserve protection from this systematic and predatory process.

    Please consider this before renting from this company. I was having trouble with my heat. The light…read moredid not come on in the themostat to indicate the heat was on and I couldn't feel hot air coming out. I also had several other things that needed maintenance. Someone came out to look at this issueue. I was told it was "user error" and was charged a fee for having someone look at it. I was told someone has to bear the cost (I guess it is the tenant!) and the vendor had to be paid for their time. Seems to me, that is simply a cost of doing business. When I objected to the charge, I was told it might have been waived but for my "tone". This is corporate America taking advantage of the small guy. It seems that if someone was there to also look at several other things, it is unacceptable to charge a separate fee for the heat check. Tacking on additional charges is how real estate companies increase their profits. Moreover, if the real estate company has their own maintenance team or a contract with the "vendor", those people have already been paid. I have asked to see the bill for this "service" but have not received it. Should they produce the actual bill, it will be interesting to see if they charged me more than the actual charge. It seems to me, the company would want to encourage a tenant to report issues but if a tenant does, they run the risk of being charged if they deem the issue is "user error".This is customer service at its worst.

    After over 10 years with Hammer Properties, I can say with complete confidence that this company…read morefailed us in nearly every way a property management company possibly can. What we uncovered after years of trusting them is honestly shocking. Hammer Properties consistently neglected basic responsibilities failing to properly clean, repair, or address damage between tenants. Instead of maintaining the property, they allowed issues to pile up year after year, leaving us to deal with the fallout once we started digging into the condition of our own investment. The most alarming part? Their complete failure to maintain records. When we brought forward legitimate concerns about damage caused by tenants that was never repaired, we were met with immediate deflection. Nikki Quinn was especially dismissive and rude throughout this process. Rather than investigate or take accountability, she quickly defaulted to telling us that they are not required to keep records beyond three years despite the fact that we had the same tenants during that time period. So according to Hammer, if they don't keep records, then there's no problem. They openly admitted that they had gotten rid of all documentation, leaving no internal record of damages, maintenance issues, or what had (or hadn't) been addressed. This wasn't just unhelpful it felt like a convenient way to avoid responsibility entirely. Fortunately, we had the foresight to keep our own detailed records dating back to the beginning of our agreement, which directly contradicted their claims. Because of this, we were able to prove that damage had not been addressed and secure some reimbursement something we absolutely would not have received if we had relied on Hammer's nonexistent records. Let that be very clear: If we had trusted Hammer Properties' documentation alone, we would have been left paying for their years of neglect. To make matters worse, communication was consistently unprofessional. Both Nikki Quinn and Matt Breinich came across as dismissive, unhelpful, and uninterested in resolving legitimate concerns. There was no accountability, no ownership, and no respect for the fact that we had been long-term clients. After a decade of loyalty, it became very clear: Hammer Properties does not value property owners, does not protect your investment, and does not operate with the level of care or professionalism this role requires. If you are an owner considering this company, understand this: Your property may not be properly maintained Tenant damage may go unaddressed Critical records may not exist when you need them And when issues arise, you may be met with dismissal instead of solutions We trusted them for over 10 years and that was our biggest mistake. Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually takes responsibility for the properties they manage. Hammer Properties is not that company
