    Chicken & Waffle Sando

This new place has some delicious tasting food all around. You know it's a good place when every item on the menu is craveable. This time around we had some veggie tots, chicken and waffle Sando, and potato flautas. Always end with some delicious churros.

$31.31 after tipping for Pork Belly Tater Tots, Agua Fresca, and Kid's Meal Beef Sliders. I personally love the pork belly. I think it was very tender and slightly crispy. Tater Tots were crispy and soft on the inside. Could have used more seasoning, Love how they toasted The King's Hawaiian Roll and the beef had the consistency of a smash burger. Maybe, it should have kept on the grill or smashed properly to develop a better crust; but it gets a pass for a slider. My Agua Fresca was really refreshing and not too sweet. I would come back just for the Agua Fresca. I'll definitely try the breakfast burrito next time. Big parking lot since it is in a shopping center.

Wow! This place impressed me. The chicken sando was soooo good! The fresh mozzarella did it for me and the sauce. The tots were super crispy and flavorful even with nothing on them. I can't wait to try the loaded tots! Also great customer service and A rating on the window so you know it's clean. I will be back again!

This spot is definitely what Norwalk needs. Not only is it something good, its something different. This food is delicious, service is great, and the vibes are chill. They decorated the inside with an inviting feel. They even have a spot to take selfies! Their dishes are so unique that it offers a fresh take on food, but just enough so that it doesnt go overboard for the sake of being different. Breakfast served all day, thats what im talking about! Some of the best comfort food in this area. Theres too many fast food chains and charbroiled burger spots in Norwalk, glad to see this local spot stand out. They got salads and vegan options which is nice to see. I heard they were a food truck before, they definitely have that bomb food truck taste. I'm coming back for sure.

Stopped by one day on my way home from work and have been hooked ever since! Current obsession is there beef flautas! So delish! The owners are super nice and welcoming! I really love the inside of the restaurant the decor!

This place is okay! The decor is really cool and unique! The food was fine, but they need to have better refund policies. I ended up not wanting my salad last minute. Although I did offer to get something else instead in its place, the lady working at the time said I'd need to pay again. The potato flauntas were good, if not a bit too crunchy. I'd probably stick to the sweeter items if I came back.

This place does it right. Amazing food, atmosphere, and service! I loved the tamale waffle and the tater tots. The agua fresca drinks are a must-try as well. Love supporting Latinx owners with a passion for sharing their food and their story.

This is the beef flautas, which got suggested by one of the workers there. But they stink like it's rotten and don't even taste good at all.

First time trying and never going back! We found hair globbed in the Chile verde pot pie. And found MORE hair in the short rib tots. Sucks because the customer service was amazing. But the food gave us an upset stomach wince we found so much hair in two different dishes !

Tia's pot pie (chili verde) yummmm

We've been here twice since they opened! The staff always has a big smile and is super helpful with suggestions when you're having a hard time picking since everything looks amazing! First time here we got sliders, everything was super fresh and tasted like great quality ingredients were used. The second time I got the Tia's pot pie while it isn't your traditional pot pie it was beyond amazing so flavorful and delicious very authentic recipe! The cheesy tots were also great! The cheese was real cheese and so tasty!

Hmmm I thnk I may have initially posted my LA reveiw on the San Francisco page. Oops…read more On April 19 I was invited to attend the YOU ART WHAT YOU EAT event (callmemochelle.com/2017/...). I enjoyed it so much I wanted to find out more about Avital Tours. I found out they've been featured on national magazines and television shows from CNN to Travel Channel, and rank high on Yelp and TripAdvisor. I also discovered that the company started off in San Francisco. They're a food tour company that's built by locals for locals. So you don't have to be a tourist to take a tour. In fact, most of the people in the event I was at are all LA locals, who work and live in Southern California. The Los Angeles tours are broken down into 3 tour versions: - To a tourist visiting LA, looking for more than touristy destinations - To a local who wants to learn more about our great city - To a company who wants to do team building I decided to select The Local, which is a 3 hour walking tour. looking They offer 4-course progressive prix-fixe dining experience that begins with a welcome drink and then visits 4 restaurants in 3 hours - two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert, with a sprinkling of culinary history and stories in between. There are 2 walking tours to choose from: - Downtown LA - Venice Beach They also added a Korea Town Food Tour which is limited to 12 people. Prices for the 3 hour tours are (16+ yrs): $79.00, or with alcohol (21+ yrs): $95.00. If you need a unique gift, they offer gift cards. It's quite an ideal event for a girls night, celebration, or even a group outing where you can re-discover Los Angeles as a local, hosted by a fellow local. Private events are available, with a 6 person minimum.

She was personable and brought high levels of energy and enthusiasm which made the entire experience enjoyable. The food + wine we got to try was so delicious and by the time we were done I was stuffed! It was also very interesting to learn the history of Venice and hear the different stories of all the restaurants we've visited. I don't want to ruin the surprise and reveal the spots we've visited but I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Some tips: - The entire tour took 3 hours. - Parking in the area is really tough - I recommend Uber. - Food allergies + restrictions can be accommodated.

Totally not the guide's fault, but there was a bit of huddling under awnings and leaping over puddles throughout the evening. Also, there were times we wished that the guides waited to tell stories when we were inside, instead of standing in the weather. We were a big group and they split us into two - we started in different places and met up halfway through. Several members of our group had food allergies. The best part of the evening was the diligence our guide took making sure he accommodated the special diet needs, including some bizarre allergies. There were no slip ups or mix ups, and there was a couple of things everyone could eat at each place. The stories we did hear were very interesting, although it was really limited to a couple of anecdotes here and there. There was more socializing and sampling than touring and learning the area's culinary history, which was fine. We felt like the delivery could have been more engaging and the tour more interactive but overall it was really enjoyable. Good variety of different restaurants, and this was one of the only tours we could find that could do an evening slot instead of just daytime. Food was pre-ordered, and all the choices were really good. A great way to learn about the area and try a lot of different things, while spending quality time with groupmates.

Well this little thing called coronavirus happened in the meantime, and so our March tour was shut down. They offered us a full refund or to postpone the tour for a later date. We opted for the full refund. This was in mid to late March. At the end of April, after weeks of delays and still no refund, I wrote a review on yelp expressing my frustration about this situation. That same day, the Fun Belly owner Carlos got in touch with me and over the next few messages basically told me that Fun Belly themselves don't handle billing/refunds (instead employing a company called EzTix), but that he would get in touch with his rep at EzTix and try to make things right. Within 2 days our refund had been issued. Wow. So while I didn't have the opportunity to go on the food tour, I still think it's important for prospective customers to know that Fun Belly has an owner with some real integrity. It would have been so easy for Carlos to say, "Well, the refund is out of my hands, go deal with it yourselves", but he went the extra mile to make things right. Once this shutdown is over and I'm actually allowed to leave my house, we'll definitely rebook for the food tour we never got an opportunity to go on. I know we'll be in good hands. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but from the moment we arrived, the energy was welcoming, organized, and full of excitement. The tour was originally planned for three buses, but there ended up being enough people for a fourth. What I loved was that even though the additional bus wasn't expected, Daisy and her team were prepared and handled everything seamlessly so everyone could still be accommodated and enjoy the experience. And the FOOD! We experienced something from several Black-owned businesses, including Red's Flavor Table, Honey Kettle Chicken, Court Cafe, Tal's Cafe, The Serving Spoon, and Sol y Soul. At Tal's Cafe, we had pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. The pancakes were made from a secret recipe and had me trying to figure out exactly what I was tasting! Court Cafe served fried chicken and waffles. But Red's Flavor Table was the standout for me, the shrimp over smothered potatoes was AMAZING. It wasn't your traditional shrimp and grits; there were tender crawfish and possibly grits in the dish, but the smothered potatoes were what really made it special. They had the perfect texture, firm enough to have some bite while still being soft. That was easily my favorite dish of the entire tour! Sol y Soul gave us a delicious cornbread-style treat with sweet butter and peach jam. We also enjoyed food from Honey Kettle Chicken. Each stop had its own experience, and the chefs and restaurant teams personally came out to introduce themselves and share the food with us, which made it feel even more special. But honestly, one of my favorite parts was the bus ride itself. This wasn't just a food tour where you sit on a bus and wait for the next stop. We played games, laughed, talked, exchanged socials, and actually got to know the people around us. It felt like community was being created right there on the bus. Daisy is an incredible host, and her love for food, people, and Black-owned businesses was evident throughout the entire experience. Her team was just as wonderful, knowledgeable, polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Even when I was one of the last people to receive my cocktail, they made sure I was taken care of and didn't make me feel forgotten. What really stood out to me was how welcoming everyone was at each business. You could feel the excitement when the tour arrived. It reminded me that LA really is about community, connection, love, and supporting one another. I would absolutely recommend Daisy's Black LA Food Tour! This would be PERFECT for a birthday celebration, girls' day, a group outing, or anyone who wants to experience multiple food spots without having to worry about driving from place to place. And if you're looking to meet new people while eating good food and learning more about Black-owned businesses in LA, this is definitely an experience worth having. What a fabulous walking tour! I was doing a good friend a favor by taking his friend, who came to…read morevisit from New York, to walk around LA since my friend was working all day. I thought it would be a cool idea to do a walking tour in downtown since it has so much history and great restaurants. We met at the Arcade in the Spring Arcade Building. The tour was about two hours with a mini break at the grand central market. Our tour guide did such a great job at telling the history, of the beautiful buildings and streets around the downtown of LA. This tour was Totally worth it. Thank you Carmen for helping us set up our tour!

For starters I would like to say our tour guide was excellent,Thank you Lauren!…read moreMy wife and I are LA locals and my parents and sisters are from San Francisco. Between us we really didn't have much knowledge of Manhattan beach, but after today I can say I know more thanks to our very knowledgeable tour guide. Aside from her great knowledge of the history of Manhattan beach, she has excellent taste in food. We went to 6 different food places and one wine tasting stop. The food was delicious, home made from local owners. We walked to all our food destinations, but to be honest it's actually more hands on and personal this way. Everything was close by and easy to get too. Personal food favorites from our food tour was everything lol. But for me one stood out the most and that was from the Rock 'N' Fish restaurant ( Coconut crusted Mahi sliders with a mango slaw, avocado, and sweet chilli aoli) best appetizer hands down. It was all paired with The old Navy Grog beverage, which to be honest is a must try since it's been made and continues to be made since 1958. Definitely a must try for anyone that enjoys food and being outdoors! P.s. Lauren went above and beyond for us. We had gone out to celebrate with my family. We were celebrating the fact that my wife and I are expecting our first child together and that it's going to be a girl. Lauren went out of her way to get our group cookies :)

COME HUNGRY! I live…read morein LA but this was a fun way to explore Manhattan Beach while eating delicious food. Amanda was our tour guide and she was fantastic! She shared some history and tips about MB I never would have known on my own. My bf and I were able to bring our dog, which was a huge plus. The town is dog friendly to begin with, so 6 out of the 7 places we stopped at we could bring our fur baby. Each stop, we ate something unique. By stop 4 I was stuffed, but the food was too good I couldn't stop eating. There was a wine tasting which was a great addition. I would definitely do this again and bring colleagues, friends or out-of-towners!
