The store is dark and uninspiring, despite being in a super high income area. Walked in and asked for "a really nice red with some age". Got a sorry, don't really have anything. Seriously? So yes, there's one wine fridge behind the counter. So asked again and paid a $50 premium over other retail options for a bottle of 2010 Brunello. Talk about not serving the community.

He recommended a red wine that's a bit sweet at my request and a rose. The red wine is called Tony's red wine which was very good, I had bought it there a couple of times before. I haven't opened the rose yet and am looking forward to trying it this weekend with dinner.

I'll give this place one star for selection and one star for location (next to the A&P). But apart…read morefrom that, they fall short in so many ways to other wine stores. For example, there are no tasting notes or store/staff picks. No ratings posted. So, you HAVE to ask someone for help, or go by the ones you know. To me, this docks a star. But perhaps the biggest issue is the complete lack of organization. There is no rhyme or reason to the way the wine is shelved. Nor are there signs. So, you can't search by region or varietal. So annoying. This place could learn a lot from Stew Leonard in Yonkers. And yes, you heard me right. SOOO much better. On the plus side, let me dispel one rumor that seems to be spreading about this place. They have an AWESOME vodka selection. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know their vodka. And beyond that, if they don't have the one you're looking for, it shouldn't matter, because they have the two best made vodkas on the face of the Earth- Russian Standard and Stolichnaya Gold (Black label).
