She listened to every single thing I had to say & was so good with asking questions to make my healing journey begin. My treatment was a 60min deep tissue massage & she even worked in cupping (which I'd never done). She integrated stretching into the massage and while it was uncomfortable, I knew damn well that it was working. I couldn't be more satisfied. Mid massage I was able to utter out," I wish I would have found you months ago." It took me three weeks to be seen and it was well worth the wait. Upon closing out my service she not only took time to rebook me multiple sessions out & an appointment for my significant other, but she also gave me a card for a chiropractor in the area that she works with and highly recommends. I am so incredibly thankful for her expertise & knowledge. I cannot wait to see her again next week and e every single time following. Thank you, Candace!!!

I unfortunately had a bad experience at this massage place…read more When i scheduled, the women on the phone asked me to bring all of my paperwork. When i asked more about it I heard the woman's voice change and get annoyed. When i arrived the woman got upset at me for not having the right paperwork. I thought the scheduler was referring to the online paperwork which i had completed. It was a simple misunderstanding but she made me feel awful about it. Repeating in an angry voice "i told you to bring it" "that's why i told you to bring all the paperwork". I have cripplingly bad appointment anxiety and ended up unable to relax during my appointment. I have a limited number of massage appointments so it really feels like it was a complete waste as i went to the chiro after and my body was in much worse condition than before my massage appointment. I'm not 100% sure but i think the woman i had this experience with was laura the owner. When i got home, i double checked all of my paperwork and it turns out I really never got a physical copy of the paperwork from my doctor that she was irritated about. I switched massage places, because i knew i would never be able to feel safe in this place. The receptionist lady at my new place was much clearer without me asking her further or getting irritated with me. I think this place lacks a designated professional receptionist that knows how to be kind, patient, and understanding to patients.

Marc Juneau I'm…read morewriting this review for a few reasons. 1 After getting a massage from Marc Juneau I'm experiencing relief from chronic pain that I haven't felt in a very long time. That alone is worth a five star review. 2 It took him less than 2 minutes to know the level of pressure I can handle and he went right to work as what felt like a physical therapy massage. There were times I felt the pressure was a bit heavy but I focused on my breathing & in the end, I felt fantastic. But then, I DID mention I prefer deep tissue massage. He was ready & willing to lighten up. But I feel like my condition requires a strong approach. 3 This guy is fairly new to our community & I feel strongly about supporting local goodness. 4 I felt very comfortable as a topless woman (covered with only a sheet) in a room with a man I just met. He's considerate & respectful. 5 He's incredibly knowledgeable informing me along the way of what exactly he's working on & how I can get continued relief. It did help that I came in with X -Rays so he could see the damage sustained from a serious fall in 2012. So if you happen to book an appointment & have X-Rays, bring em! I understand he accepts PIP & L&I for those who have it. His rates are very reasonable with a sliding scale that was very refreshing in this selfish & greedy world. He seems to care more about our wellness than that "Mighty Dollar". It's that Aloha/Whidbey mentality I remember from 50 years ago where people actually cared & helped each other. (I miss that!) I have been seeing his ads for a while & finally took a chance on him. I wasn't able to get in at his Freeland office and it turns out he has a studio where he lives that he works out of in such cases. So, to sum it up ... Marc Juneau's massage is very effective, comfortable, educational, reasonably priced & available in or out of office. I'm excited to have found this combination right here on S. Whidbey! Get on his books as he's filling up FAST!!
