Honestly this place is poor at best. I will admit no one has ever butchered my hair, but I've never left without a complaint. Today I came in for a standard haircut and while there, TWO employees were vaping inside sitting at the hair sinks.... like what??? And while the girl who cut my hair did a very nice job of cutting my hair, she only dried my hair halfway. I have never left with frizzy damp hair from a salon before. and I don't even have thick hair. Last time I came in, the girl didn't even wash my hair and they tried to charge me for a full price cut... luckily I mentioned it up front so they provided a discount but that was not at all what I was coming in for. I'm done giving this place chances, I will make the drive for future haircuts. read more

I'd say it's meh. They have availability often so it's not a salon that's typically booked up which is nice for regular people just trying to get a normal hair cut or color just to feel nice not for special events. But the quality of the color was meh. I went back later for a cut and that was meh as well. I didn't get what I asked for but it wasn't terrible either. read more

Do not let Noelle dye your hair. I saw all the bad reviews and a few good ones but I decided to give this place a chance. She told me "yeah we'll be able to get really close to your reference photo" not even close. Imagine paying over $200 for a "balayage" then getting streaks of platinum blonde, a weird orange blonde, yellow tints, red tints everywhere and a "Carmel color" as Noelle described it. Noelle was nice but clearly does NOT know how to do a balayage. She kept telling me how healthy my hair felt after the bleaching but Left my hair feeling so disgusting, dry, and brittle. She really saw the streaks in my hair and uneven tones and said nothing and did nothing to fix it. She kept telling me how good it looked which pisses me off now. The front was decent but she didn't even let me see the back before leaving. Ive gotten my hair done at other salons and used box dye plenty of times and my hair has never turned out this dry and gross. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone now I have to get it fixed. 0/10 read more

I scheduled this appointment online over a week ago and selected "any stylist" with the hopes of getting in as soon as possible. I rearranged weekend plans out of town so I could make this appointment on the ONE day a week that I have free. I was sent appointment confirmation requests the day before which I responded to. An hour before I'm supposed to leave my house to drive to the salon I get an email from their No Reply address letting me know that they canceled my appointment because the stylist that their automated system booked me with doesn't work there. Did she quit in the hour and a half before my appointment? They didn't have the decency to call to let me know this? Luckily, I saw their email before leaving my house. I made this appointment after having such a wonderful experience with Thomas cutting my young daughter's hair (he was awesome and worked so well with her! This review is not for him). Unfortunately, this experience is a lesson on how not to treat people. I get that mistakes happen but at the very least, call your customers when you are canceling on them an hour and a half before their scheduled appointment. Sending an email that they might not even see in time is so disrespectful and unprofessional. read more

I had the weirdest experience ever! Several weeks ago, I made an appointment with Cindy for a root touch up. The appointment was "accepted". I was counting on this appointment because I was going to be traveling and needed my gray roots to be looking their best for the trip. The day before the appointment, I got a confirmation email, which I confirmed. The evening before the appointment, I got a reminder text. Sooooo, on the morning of my appointment, I'm driving to the salon, and 2 MINUTES before the appointment, I got a text that it was CANCELLED! I entered the parking lot, and got out to find out what the heck was going on. The receptionist told me that Cindy "no longer works there"! Honestly? Why didn't someone tell me sooner than 2 minutes before my appointment? Why did I receive all these confirmation and reminders about the upcoming appointment? Thankfully, Brio Salon, also in the neighborhood, took me as a "walk-in"! I can't say that I'd recommend this kind of service to anyone, especially if you are counting on getting your hair cut or colored for a special occasion. read more

Debbie is the WORST hairstylist! Do NOT have her do your hair! She'll ruin it! I came in for an 1100 appointment and she didn't even start on my hair till 1145. The appointment that Debbie had before me showed up late but Debbie still did her hair anyways. The girl before me even had the audacity to have Debbie curl her hair when she was already super late and Debbie knew I was waiting but still agreed to do it! I had a ball to attend and fortunately left myself time to get to the event but she gave me no compensation for waiting over an hour. Before she began to work on my hair, I showed her a photo of what I wanted. I offered to show her a video of how the hair was done in the photo but she kept avoiding that. Needless to say, I spent over two hours in the salon chair and walked away with nothing more than a simple bun that I could have done ten times better. I asked her to curl my hair, she avoided that, I asked her for big twists of hair behind my head, she gave me tiny ones, I asked for my hair curled and loose on the top, she made it slicked back and tight. She also made my hair a wreck.. she kept teasing it and when I finally took it out later that night it was impossible to brush. She admitted she needed a mannequin with long hair to practice on but given she had been a hairstylist for many years, I assumed she knew how to at least curl hair and make a simple updo... Boy was I wrong! After multiple attempts to do my hair, she kept doing exactly what I said I did not want.. three different looks in one updo (the top was slicked back, middle was tiny pieces of hair weaved left and right, bottom was a HUGE bun that stuck out so I couldn't even put on a collared shirt). She kept doing different versions of a big bun on the bottom which i asked her to change. Finally, I told her to stop and just do a bun. What is awful is she still charged me almost $80!!!! I should have walked out when I first walked in because I became immediately wary when I first sat down in her chair and she said... "Now I want to apologize in advance if I hurt you" Ummm that's not really the confidence I need from someone who's about to hold an iron inches from my neck. read more

I read reviews that Soluxe was a good salon and I liked the location. The salon was nicely appointed and Sydney was very personable. I was told a cut and highlight was $145. After receiving the services I was charged $175 due to add ons but I was not made aware of these. I was told I actually had a full highlight. In 3 weeks I had zebra stripe roots of at least one inch in my part and around my face. I had not had this happen in going to other salons for the same service. I called and asked that I be seen again to assess what had gone wrong and to correct it. I was told I would be contacted by the manager... never happened. Very disappointing. I'm now going to another salon for the same high lighting paying again, 4 weeks later. read more

My daughter has had wonderful service from the lash person at this salon but two different times she has been treated rudely by whomever is at the front desk. I believe it's because they think my daughter is younger than she is (she is very petite) so they just assume they can talk to her however they feel like. It's disappointing! They don't even check her in or let the lash person know that my daughter is there for her appointment therefore my daughter has been left waiting longer than necessary. UPDATE: The salon owner did call me and was very apologetic about my experience in her salon. She agreed that I should not have been charged and offered to make it right with a future service. She explained the wax mix-up and said she would also address with her staff. I'll give it another go in April and update my review then! I really appreciated the owner's follow up and lack of excuses! ********************************************************************************* I wanted so much to love this salon. It's close to my home, higher end, very cute inside, etc. I was next door at the clothing boutique and decided to stop in to get a price list and inquire about their wax services. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if the salon offered hard wax, as I preferred that over traditional wax due to skin sensitivities. He responded with "I think so..." I had to prompt him to go ask someone if hard wax was available. Coaching opportunity: "I believe we do, but let me ask a manager so we both know for sure." He did get confirmation and asked if I wanted to schedule a wax service. I said I did and he mentioned that someone was available right now if I wanted to get it done immediately. Awesome! Yes! I am taken to the back and the aesthetician started the wax.She laid one strip of wax and started to put a strip over the wax to pull. I asked "Is that hard wax? You don't usually need strips with hard wax?" She replied, "No, is that what you wanted, because no one told me." Ugh... "Yes, I prefer hard wax because I have very sensitive skin and I am prone for lifting. I explained that to the receptionist." She asks me "What is lifting?" Sigh... She agrees to pull this strip and finish the rest of the service using hard wax. She then starts another strip with hard wax. She lays 2-3 strips of hard wax. Except the salon's wax won't harden. Something is wrong with the product or warmer. She waited 5-10 minutes and the hard wax remained the texture of wet gum (her words, not mine). She consults with another person in the salon. They agree that the only way to remove the wet wax from my face is with a strip. Ugh... She is able to remove the wet wax (finally) and without consultation, covers the area with an oil. I understand that this is very common practice intended to soothe the skin, but every other aesthetician I've used asks before applying - or at minimum - gives you a heads up that it's coming. I asked "Is that oil?" She replies, "Yes, did you not want that?" I explain, again, that I have sensitive skin and would have appreciated her asking first. She wipes off the oil. Ok, so the waxing is over. She tells me that if and when I come back next time I should ask if the hard wax is better...? Huh? Why should I have to ask a high end salon that? She knows this has been terrible and is apologetic. The worst part? They still charged me for the service! It's nominal and not really about the money. I am just shocked by the lack of customer service. How about "this one is on us." All $15.00 of it... or "Here's a credit for a future wax, we want you to give us another opportunity." They offered nothing. I asked the receptionist to share my experience with a manager and his response was "ohhhh..." ? I still give them a few stars because the location is good and the salon was clean and cute. Unfortunately, I won't be back - not because of the miscommunication and/or bad wax (stuff happens) - but because of their failure to try to make it right. I have been coloring my hair for years red. As this pigment doesn't like to stay I was used to getting it done often and usually it was looking faded. Cody is phenomenal at coloring. She adjusted my color to a shade that my friends say is the most flattering I have had. She also got rid of the fading problem. The only reason I need more color is the roots. I have been to many salons and Cody is a master of color. The salon is a bit pricey, but I can stretch out appointments with the long lasting color. They offer wine, hot chocolate, tea.... The also have men's barbershop services, lashes, and waxing, but I have not utilized those services. Love this place. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. They have lots of products for sale but they are not pushy in the least about product. read more

I am so happy to have a full service salon so close to home. I was able to set an appointment with Cody. I got a full color and keratin treatment. I absolutely love the results. I have gotten relaxers, and Brazilian Blow outs and this has been the BEST! Not to mention 2 minutes from my home! The decor is modern, relaxing, and very clean. I plan to go back often to maintain my hair. I enjoy getting a great shampoo, deep conditioner, blow dry, and flat iron every 2-3 weeks. read more

Jen completely transforms my hair. I have very little, fine hair that has gotten thinner with age. I did my research before my wedding almost three years ago on various hair extension brands and stylists and interviewed several. I selected Perfectress for the quality and value as they can be moved up and used for an entire year. I chose Jen as my stylist. She is extremely professional; does an amazing job; and is very comfortable to hang out with during the several hour process. I've moved to Jen for my highlights as well because it makes sense to do both at the same time, and she does a great job with that as well. I hadn't planned to continue with my hair extensions after they wore out due to the expense but they are such a big improvement and so much value that I haven't stopped. Jen has a block on her stand that says, "Help me accept the things the salon cannot change.", a play off of the wonderful serenity prayer.
