Traveled to Monument to visit my daughter and we decided to have our nails done here. Paid $60 for our polish to bubble up as the surface of our newly manicured nails are rough and, after leaving, realized the sloppiness of my polish application. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating offering to hang up jackets and offering drinks. Don't think either of us will be returning. After reading reviews here, seems like their hair services are better. read more

I have lived in Monument for years, and tried all the local hair places at least once. I stayed with Luna. They are consistently good at what they do, provide excellent value, and are nice people. It's a professional operation. Some of the other nearby competitors provide a lot less, are less reliable. read more

I am so thrilled with my cut and seeing it after Day 2, I have confirmation that Ellen listened to my concerns about growing out my hair and didn't get tempted to cut it up to the next layer to even my hair out. Yay! I'm growing my hair out at least 20 inches so I can hack it all off in one fell swoop for a custom wig for a girl that's gonna be a cancer survivor. Fortunately, we have the same hair color so a wig would be just the thing to help with the transition. :-) I went out of my hair over 20 miles in traffic and construction because random women I met couldn't stop glowing about them. When I pulled up to their parking lot, I was almost ten minutes late, sweating, and a crazy hot mess. The front desk receptionist greeted me, invited me in and made me feel at ease. I'm used to having a world of hurt brought down on me if I'm even 5 minutes late back at my usual salon in San Francisco. Ellen was friendly, listened to what I wanted and gave my bangs a little touchup to even out the look. Only 4 more months and all that hair can be liberated from the back of my head. My neck feels better already just thinking about it. I love that they offer a first time client discount of 15% which is also nice. I was surprised with it when I was paying and totally added a tiny cherry on top of the whole experience. From the staff to the decor to the ease and overall result of my cut, it was a terrific and I'll definitely be back in 2 months. read more

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Chelsee Talmich to anyone looking for someone to do their hair. Chelsee is the only person I would go to in the state. She is very friendly, always has a smile on her face and is always very professional. She is highly educated and experienced in coloring, high lights etc and cuts. She knows what is best for your hair type and the condition it is in . I think she the best. read more

I started going to Maria over 16 years ago, followed her to Luna Hair and drive over 3.5 hours for her to color my hair! I wouldn't want anyone else cutting and highlighting my hair. She has never disappointed me in all these years and always gives me what I want! I get many compliments on my hair color! I completely trust her! I would never want anyone else doing my hair! I called to make an appointment with my regular stylist and while settling on a time was told that they had to leave early. So, I offered to come in 1.5 hours before I was told they needed to leave. We settled on 1 hour before. Unfortunately I got caught in traffic in south Denver and as I pulled onto the street the salon is on I got a call from the salon. Since I was 10 minutes late, I was not going to get a haircut unless I wanted someone else to do it. I have a short, business man's haircut and it usually takes 20 minutes (30 minutes tops). If I had wanted just anyone to cut my hair, I could have gone to Floyds and took my chances (which is what I had been doing). If you must, please make sure you allow plenty of time to make your appointment....there is no grace period. I have been looking for consistency and thought I had found it. Chelsea is the best!! I love how cheerful she is and turns a haircut and style into a delightful experience. Love the results so much, the entire family goes to her now! She's done my low- and high-lights and I am in love with my hair when she's done. I believe you can tell a great haircut by how long it looks good and Chelsea's going to put herself out of a job because her cuts look good for a long, long time! read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. I went to get a pedi before I was about to travel to California. The girl put WAAYYY too much polish on my nails. I had to ask her to fix a nail because it looked so awful. It was sooooo thick and goopy, every nail got messed up and bubbled! Worst pedicure I've ever had. Wasted my $40 and I was so upset to be traveling with such ugly toes. read more

Luna has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I have been going there for highlights, low lights, cut & style for almost 2 years now. Kelsey is wonderful! It took me a year of living here to find a place reasonably priced, with a styllist who actually listened to what I wanted done with my hair,and did it perfectly. I've found that in Luna. The receptionists always call with a reminder of your upcoming appointments, which I find very helpful. They offer coffee, tea or wine while you are waiting, and during your appointment. The staff there always make it a great experience with their friendliness and consideration are always appreciated. read more

Unfortunately ellen ruined my hair. She never appologized and even was going to charge me untill everyone else at the salon couldnt believe how horrific it looked. And even tried to upsell me in the midst of her knowing she had ruined my hair. Not professional at all. This salon is by far the best in Monument - outstanding service, incredibly talented and friendly staff. They took me through three different stages of hair color (blonde, to dark brown, to medium warm brown) over the year and did it seamlessly. I get stopped on the street from people asking about my hair. I also have very curly hair and they have worked with me to help make it long and waivy, and very healthy! This staff and especially the owner, Rachel, KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Do not listen to negative reviews... the competition knows there's a new salon in town that is the best. read more

I will never go back nor will I refer anyone to Luna. I was referred to Ellen through a friend. I went in for a consultation because my hair was severely damaged. I scheduled a color appointment which I had to cancel a week prior due to a family emergency. I scheduled a deep conditioning treatment and went to !y appointment. She was already double booked and said she didn't think I needed one so I left and still got charged $25 for no services!!! I called back to speak with her and was told she would return my call and never did. I thought I would call and give them another chance. I called to schedule a haircut and was put on hold for about 10 min. When she came back on the phone I was told I was unable to book an apt because I canceled once and would have to call everyday to see if there were any apts available! I have never been treated so horribly ever!!!!! read more

The environment is comfortable, modern and friendly. The prices are reasonable. I love Jenny's work. She does my color and I trusted her enough to give me a completely different hairstyle! I was so encouraged after reading the other reviews... so I took a chance and got a last-minute appointment with Chelsea. The salon seemed modern and comfortable, and the employees were friendly. I was encouraged. I sat down with Chelsea and we discussed what I wanted. She told me she liked that cut. I told her how I had grown out my hair for the style and wanted to keep it longer, and she agreed It should be long enough to still pull back in a pony. Then she started cutting, and talking, and cutting, and talking.....and there went my front "corners" that were grown out for the angled style... and chopping, and so on. My very thick hair is now a layered, choppy mess... A SHORT layered, choppy mess. I should have known when she told me that she didnt come from another salon, just cutting hair for her friends at home... ugh. I cant believe she trained thru Toni & Guy... Anyway...
