He's a liar! So when I called the office to ask about it, they said he had "forgotten" to send it in (another lie) and that he was on vacation for 3 weeks!!! So I went without sleep while he was on vacation and sleeping soundly. The day he got back to the office, I waited all day for the prescription to be called in. After calling the office multiple times, they finally told me AT THE END OF THE DAY that he had changed his mind and wasn't going to give me any medication until I had more testing done! And no, he didn't care that I hadn't slept and I was told to just keep going without sleep until I got the test done! First of all, he could have told me that 3 weeks ago but he wanted me to pay him for more office visits first. That would have also given me 3 weeks to get a new doctor before my prescription ran out. Secondly, he could have at least told me in the morning instead of me waiting all day with no sleep and no time to call a new doctor that day!! He gets kickbacks from the testing center. And he won't give you the prescription that actually helps you, only the ones that the big pharmaceutical companies give him kickbacks for when he prescribes them. He doesn't care at all about his patients, only money. He's a crook, plain and simple! If you're looking for a new doctor, please go to anyone besides this horrible man!! As far as I could tell, the focus is on survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their families, which is a very good thing. Before leaving the agency in July 2023, it had become a toxic work environment. The decision to terminate my employment was based on untruths and false assumptions. Reporting my concerns to management, including Human Resources, did not help because there was no follow-up. Reporting my concerns to the President of the FGC Board apparently did not help because nothing was changed. FGC is a non-profit, community-based victim services agency. By definition, FGC has an obligation to 'cause no harm'. But, FGC caused me harm in ways that will never be made right. I need to stress that the toxicity was probably caused by one person. Not all employees were unkind but they were "fans" of the person I strongly believe caused almost unbearable working conditions. HOWEVER, Catawba and surrounding counties need to know about and utilize FGC's services, e.g., Sexual Assault and/or Domestic Violence advocacy, outpatient therapy, support groups (i.e., Life Skills, Trauma, Sexual Assault), Domestic Violence Advocacy, Hospital Advocacy, Community Outreach / Education, etc. There is no cost to survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. FGC depends on grants, monetary donations and volunteers to provide the best quality therapeutic services possible.
