Too bad I cannot put a zero, or negative. Robin Becker has to be the worst professional I have ever encountered in my 40 years in business. RB was recommended by a trusted friend of mine. I love my friend, but this was the greatest waste of money, time, and energy in my life. I was billed and paid over $40,000 to Robin Becker, with the goal of facilitating my divorce. She accomplished nothing for me. She was late for many of our meetings, she was completely disorganized, she has no staff and no support, and I have no idea how this person ever graduated law school. After much frustration and $40,000 down the toilet, I fired her, hired a new firm, and the difference is absolutely incredible, as far as their research, professionalism, and no more wasted time! I was introduced to Robin through one of her associates who knows my wife. I didn't know Robin or her reputation but she came across as a caring and intelligent attorney. I should have been seeing giant red flags waving when we met in her office the first time and after that only met at Paneras or at her gym (yup, we had a meeting at LifeTime Fitness). My case was cut and dry - negotiate a child support settlement and visitation schedule with my ex-wife. My ex was unhappy with the current support structure, and I was unhappy with the current visitation schedule; seemed like a pretty simple solution was in the offing. For two years Robin and her team bungled hearing after hearing, costing me tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees - for my EX's legal team - and never ONCE in two years did Robin file a single motion requesting a change to my visitation schedule, though she made many requests for me to pay her fees, for which it took her over 18 months to actually compile an itemized invoice - also full of mistakes and phantom charges. Robin and her team aren't interested in "solutions first"; they are interested in repeated court appearances, running up large legal fees, and finding ways to turn molehills into mountains. Stay away from Robin and her crew - far away - unless you have a small legal matter you're looking to turn into an OJ trial-sized case, which she'll then lose miserably. I'd give her two thumbs down, with the wish that god had given me 15 more thumbs. read more

Buyer beware, I signed a flat fee retainer agreement for a simple post divorce issue. She then tried to charge me for time related to this matter even though the flat fee covered the scope of the issue. I would never work with Robin or her firm again. read more

This review is a long time in coming. My ex-husband and I used Robin last year for mediation. The actual mediation portion of the process was fine. Robin is a good mediator. The follow up portion of the process was horrendous. It took 2 months and 4 phone calls to get a completed agreement and the agreement we did get was riddled with errors. They were careless errors and I literally spent hours pouring over the agreement to make sure we got what we needed (isn't it the lawyer's job to review the document and cross check with what they have in writing to make sure it's correct?). Additionally, without going into detail, something that was discussed in detail in mediation was not even included in the agreement and we were charged again for the associate's time when I had to explain it to her. The woman they recommended to file the paperwork at the court was excellent though. (I got billed for that.) I would not recommend this firm and I wish I had done more research before hiring them for such an emotional matter. (The divorce process is hard enough without having to do an excessive amount of follow up and wondering where the agreement is.) read more

If there was a rating of zero; i would choose that! As previously stated with other reviews; the team is extremely unprofessional. Showing all the enthusiasm in the beginning but after receiving the retainer; I was the one constantly asking for an update on my case. They were hired for a pretty simple case; legal guardianship transfer as both parties were already in agreement. All that had to be done was fill out n file the paperwork. A month later and I am still at square one; not to mention the last and only phone call I received from the lawyer was answered with "I'm sorry who is this again? I don't even know who I am talking to." Goes to show how important my case was. Now I am being billed at the hourly rate of the lawyer and not the clerk; which was the only person that returned my phone calls. Good luck to that firm and fair warning. read more

run do not walk from this woman how she is still practicing is beyond me Robin can take a simple divorce and turn it into a money making event. You will not get what you paid for and I should have done this a long time ago but felt it better to not to put this type of negativity out in the world but I need to warn you do not trust that you will not be over billed under serviced and taken advantage of by this supposed advocate I have gone so far as to see how long the statue of limitations would be to take this matter before the courts. Do not be comforted that she will have your back and if you are just a regular working person she can smell the trust and innocence of you and then is a cannibal for any monetary issues left unresolved will charge you again. I have warned everyone I know and reporting her to the bar is all that is left for me and hiring another attorney to clean up the mess she made I can post the handwritten scratched out documents that is a sample of the workmanship you can expect but to what end? I have had other attorneys see this document who ask who did this and claimed they had never seen such a poorly drafted piece of work and if you are not an attorney just a simple JOE you end up blindsided and out of cash. They are simply horrible. They sound so caring and concerned at the first appointment, when you hand them the check, but after that, they are blatantly incompetent. After the first check was cashed, they proceeded to do nothing for me other than fill out forms so that they could bill me. They completely ignored the solution we discussed up front. Robin is simply too overworked and/or focused on billable hours to even remember what she said during the previous conversation. Then she gets her staff going on busy work to pad the bill. After coming at me for a second huge bill, after doing basically NOTHING, I said enough is enough. Stay far far away!!! read more
