Had a great experience with someone who I think her name was Karyn, but I am not entirely sure. It was my birthday, and I had had a bad spray experience earlier that day, and she went out of her way to check me on my way out to ensure my spray had gone well. I did not realize they encourage appointments for sprays, but she got me in anyway. She was knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. I found this gem while doing a general search for tanning salons that offer higher end booths. I'm very happy with my local HT in which I use the KBL but happened to see Baja come up. Malvern isn't close, but isn't a bad drive and the variety of options they show on their website was enough to get me in my car! The salon is in a small strip mall off 30 so be careful not to drive by. The inside is really as nice as the pictures. It looks like a fun beach store when you walk in the lobby. I was immediately greeted and I had good vibes right away. And yes, I'm totally one of those people with a knee-jerk reaction that judges based on facial expressions and first impressions of front desk behaviors. There were 3 ladies, one of which was the owner Lori and they were all sweet as can be. I let them know I found them online and I was there to tan and check out their beds and Lori sprang into action. She showed me the entire salon, explaining every bed and every other service (light therapy, water table massage etc) room they offer, but not at all in a pushy way. Just to show me since I really did show up out of curiosity. I'm too lazy to get into all the details but suffice to say she knew everything about every bed, bulb, bell and whistle for each bed and booth and assured me her staff was just as educated about the equipment. The salon was spotless, everyone wore masks, everything was marked where it had been sanitized and when I was doing all the paperwork she explained how they clean and maintain the equipment. I felt completely safe. I can't say enough about this salon. I tried a crazy cool new bed with Lori's recommendation. It had a mess of facial-type bulbs all over the top, none on the bottom, 20 minutes and you flip mid-way through. It was SO relaxing, literally like laying on the beach since it had a nice pad with a towel. It was a nice break in my day and totally worth the drive. It won't be my regular salon because of distance, but a couple times a month to switch up my bed or for another service is a no brainer. Thanks guys for a great experience! read more

Baja Beach Tanning Club has everything going for it! An amazingly kind and caring staff, impeccably clean booths, including their Mystic Spray Tan Booth and an LED booth which had been recommended to me by my dermatologist after I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder affecting my skin. I have recommended this place to others who were seeking the LED treatment booth and/or the Mystic Spray Tan booth. All of their levels of membership are reasonable, and their convenient hours ( especially on the weekends) make it user- friendly, especially for 9-5ers whose work schedules don't allow them to get there during the week. You can freeze your membership, as well, which is a plus if you know you'll be out of town for any length of time. read more

The worst tanning place I have ever been to. Management is extremely rude, talks down to customers, even rolled eyes and scoffed at me because I didn't want to buy a bundle of lotion, aloe, and other junk. My sister came with me to get a spray tan, her first time there. Should have been $10 since she is a new customer but it was $30 with their up charges and the tan is horrific. Awesome place to go tan. I was looking for a quick two weeks to get some color before a trip and they were beyond helpful. Very knowledgeable about the services and products. I recently used Baja Beach Tanning Club in Malvern and Loved it. I was tanning for an upcoming trip and spread it out. The staff was so helpful and friendly as I am not one to usually go to tanning salons. Lori was super nice to me and made me feel comfortable. I will certainly be back! read more

I've been a customer here for years, after a sudden move last year, I found myself visiting another tanning salon closer to my home. BIG MISTAKE. So now, I'm back where I can see more color in the short three weeks since I've been back than a saw the entire summer of 2019. The owner is extremely rude and very very pushy. She tries to intimidate you into buying her product (which is way over priced) and purchasing a membership. So much so I would consider it borderline harassment! She is very unprofessional, just like her staff. Monkey see monkey do. The beds are so outdated and the bulbs are so over due for a change, the only color you leave with is from being over heated. Manual floor fans for ventilation, portable speakers for music that you cannot hear --- the experience was just like her --- down right nasty and MISERABLE!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more

I would most definitely not recommend Baja Beach Tan in Malvern. The management frequently talks down the customers, completely unprofessional. Personally, the manager was opprobrious and derogatory the last time I visited, due to her own incompetence in adequately running a business and checking up on the efficiency of her booths. The spray tan membership rate is inflated and quite frankly not worth the money. Tantini is a much better run establishment, one which I would highly recommend. This place is horrific. I hardly write reviews, however I had to advise people about Baja Beach in Malvern. Management is beyond rude. I have felt feeling so disrespected. I have given them multiple chances, however each time I go I have a worse experience than the one prior. Management talks down to their customers, they are constantly creating rules that make no sense, they make it incredibly challenging to cancel memberships, many additional fees and employees are not helpful whatsoever. read more
