Since the development of new advances in cosmetic dentistry I researched the named experts in this field. I decided upon Dr. Haywood since he had an excellent reputation and years of experience. He took a lot of time with me during my consultation since I had a lot of questions. He was very down to earth, respected what I had to say, and really listened. Never has he made me feel rushed. After my consultation, I was impressed with the newest techniques and procedures he described that would be utilized to make a replacement. He offered several options and I decided on the one that I felt would be the most beneficial to me and achieve a pleasing look to the eye. There was incentive for paying in full, but certainly other financial arrangements could be made. Let me say, with no reservations, Dr. Haywood is a caring, cosmetic surgeon with a great dental chair manner. His staff is friendly, efficient and my appointments were made to blend with my work schedule. The office and dental rooms are pristine. I felt completely comfortable during the procedures. Each service as it was being performed was explained, so I had a clear understanding of where, why and what was happening. The entire process was completed within the proposed schedule. After the success of my bridge replacement, I decided to continue with Dr. Haywood for my regular preventative dental appointments. Although my dental hygiene health wasn't bad, it is so much better now! In fact, my spouse decided to see Dr. Haywood, decided on implants and now has an extraordinary smile. He, too, has chosen to continue for regular dental check-ups. We both love getting compliments on our smiles! Dr. Haywood's vast knowledge and experience will give you amazing results. However, four days post op I was experiencing a significant amount of pain in my lower right extraction site (way worse than the other three) and so I decided to schedule an emergency appointment, as I was worried it could be a dry socket. I met with him at the Towson location for this appointment, and immediately could tell he was having a busy day and was not in the mood to deal with my issue. He had a very condescending tone and demeanor throughout the appointment, and when I expressed my concerns I felt like I was constantly talked over. He expected me to have the knowledge of an oral surgeon when I very much am not, and he barely looked inside my mouth to check on the state of the incisions. I explained that his tone felt condescending and he was exasperated. I then asked to leave and he went to a colleague and said "she called me condescending!" (this was verified to me by another colleague at the practice). I left and then decided to return with my mother present, and my mother was able to experience his lack of bedside manner first hand. He was rude to my mother, so much so that even she had to say something to him about it. I have never felt more disrespected by a medical professional in my life. This was my first experience undergoing surgery and I am now scared to have any more procedures done due to fear of having a doctor that doesn't care for my pain or concerns.

He's a crook and has always behaved uncomfortable/nervous in my company. The front desk doesn't greet. In fact, they are very nasty in my first encounter ... Had a whole dental plan mapped out with Dr. Kelmensen despite, the nasty encounter at the front desk. Despite, having to pay them $50 to reschedule my apt. due to having COVID!!! They charged $50 b/c I caught COVID within 24 hrs of my appointment. I truly believe they don't like or would like to prevent having African American clientele. And the $50 I paid out of pocket, and the over $1K, I had paid towards my dental plan, they also charged my insurance company. I caught them double charging. When I questioned charges, Dr. Kelmensen, rather than addressing the charges, he immediately dropped me as a patient. Very VERY strange behavior at that office. They should be investigated.

My daughter was seen on Tuesday, July 13th and the hygienist was snappy and rude, she refused to listen to my daughter concern about how the removal of her wisdom teeth may have caused a gap to return between her two front teeth. My daughter attended her appointment for the first time without an older adult because she is 18 but when she return home after her appointment she was so upset because the hygienist was so rude and her tone was so harsh when she spoke to her. My daughter said that the orthodontist, Dr. Jessie was there and her attitude was no better and my daughter said she noticed that Dr. Jessie had positive energy when treating other patients but when she arrived at her station had demeanor and body language changed and she was less friendly. Since we started my daughter's braces treatment at Perry Hall location it has been one issue after another. There were many times when the staff and the hygienist were not friendly. I've tried to move her treatment to one of their other offices, and they made it so challenging that it didn't happen so she finished her treatment at the Perry Hall location. This journey was not pleasant for my daughter or myself. I would not recommend anyone to use the Perry Hall location.

Now we are almost done with treatment with my youngest daughter and it turned out worse that it was before her treatment began. She had a very difficult case, which didn't seem to phase them during consultation, they charged us 2x as much because it was going to take more work to fix. 18 months later, she has a tooth with root reabsoption, because of too much trauma on the tooth when they were moving it. We initially sought treatment for her crossbite, but now it is a severe underbite that jets out and they refused to do extractions even though there was severe crowding on the bottom they straightened out, her front teeth are almost coming out of the jaw bone as there is not enough space and they are stretched so thin. The teeth barely fit and her bottom jaw jets out, but the doctors are ready to take her braces off, as they insist there's nothing they can do now.
