Went to have a written appraisal on a diamond. I was told I needed to leave the ring and then the gentleman suggested that I leave the watch and bracelet I was wearing and he could clean them, and I could pick up all three pieces together. When I returned a couple of days later to pick up the appraisal and the other pieces, I was handed a separate bill for over $100 to clean those pieces. I was shocked. It would have been one thing if they had told me in advance there was a charge for that, but they didn't, and It is a common practice for Jewelers to offer that service complimentary to their customers. Patient and caring service, beautiful jewelry and expert craftsman. I brought in serval pieces, some to redesign, some for the gold and some to be fixed. Everything was done to perfection. The only down side was that I had to be patient for several pieces to be completed as they were being designed at the store. Not an easy task but so worth the wait! I recently went to have my diamond ring reset into a new setting,. I must say Mark Solomon helped me. He was amazing. It was done in 1 day and my goodness the ring looks like a different ring. It is just beautiful I have never trusted a jeweler before I had checked out several before I went to Mark. He sure knows his diamonds. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an amazing jeweler. Solomon's jewerlys do Not stand behind their work. Avoid this place I brought them a Triathalon watch for a simple battery change. They changed it and the first time I swam it leaked and shut off. I brought it back and they said they would dry it out and seal it. I didn't hear from them and I called and they told my it wasn't repairable. I asked them to replace it and they denied my request. They were arrogant, snotty and completely unreasonable. Stay away. read more
