This is one of the most competent waxing places I've been to in my life. I got a full Brazilian and nose wax- both impeccable. Better than the best EWC waxing if that is a comparison. (I also asked for eyebrow waxing, and the waxer said "you don't need it," and tweezed a couple of hairs and done! Also, I was in the area and I called ahead and was taken right away. Anyone working or living in this area should go here. read more

This establishment is greaaaatt. I've never had a Brazilian wax before and wasn't sure where to go, did my googles, and Solo Wax Center came up. First off...FIRST TIME GUESTS GET A GREAT DEAL. $35 for a Brazilian wax. WOW! My kitty was like "yes bih...today is the day" From entry I felt comfortable, the salon itself it's cute and simple with clearly visible certifications & services. Already dazed over the prices before i even got started. So ladies if you don't know Brazilian waxes are PAINFUL for your first time. My waxing specialist (who's name i will be getting when i go back later this week for a hair appt.) was very informative and coached me through the horrible pain. I sincerely recommend this establishment for your first Brazilian wax!! read more

I am very late writing this review as I believe I have been coming here for almost a year. I love it. I always come out of this Salon feeling beautiful and better then I did when I got there. I first found this place through a Groupon I purchased for full Brazilian wax. Dion is amazing and such a lovely person. She is very professional and makes you feel so comfortable. Space is small but always clean. Just to add I am a big girl and she is always very thorough and accommodating. She also has done other waxing for me like my face etc always good prices. I also get my lashes done here and the lady who does them (forgot her name!) she is so pleasant as well and did an amazing job on my lash extensions. I received so many compliments and it did not harm my natural lashes! I also get my hair done here! Lily is amazing. I have extremely thin hair and she works with it so well. I have seen them do all different kinds of hair textures here, all done well. Lily takes her time and does it right! She is a perfectionist and it shows. I've also had hair extensions installed here (my first time ever) and it was a great experience. I still have them on and receive compliments all the time. Any service you need check them out give them a try I bet you will love it. I am very picky about where I go for my beauty needs I need to feel comfortable and this is the place for me! I highly recommend Solo wax salon to everyone. So far I have brought a couple of family members and friends and all have enjoyed their experience as well. read more

I've been here twice for a Brazilian wax and both times have been painless and enjoyable. Dion is exceptional, knowledge and really cares about the comfort of her clients. My first visit was a result of a groupon deal and the experience was great I had to come back again a few months later. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, clean, and pain free wax. Make sure you call ahead to make an appointment. They are usually super busy and don't take walk in for waxes but if there is space and you don't mind waiting you may be seen. read more

I purchased a voucher for 3 Brazilian waxes from Groupon. While the service was decent, not as thorough as I'm used to, I wasn't a huge fan. To start, when you read wax center, you aren't inclined to think that you will be getting waxed in a room the size of a storage closet, with a massage table that doubles as storage space for the salon, that probably really is a storage closet. The "center" is located inside of a salon, there is no place to store belongings, unless of course you place them on top of the nail polish that is on the shelving unit in the "center"/closet. I was so underwhelmed that I chose to let the value of the last of the wax trilogy go to waste, as I was charged more anyway. Not a fan.... read more

I think this will be my new go to spot. I absolutely love the service here! It is not expensive, she has specials on Wednesday's and it is very quiet and peaceful inside. She is not rough and I was very satisfied with the service rendered. read more

Omg. Best eyebrow waxing ever and color. Took her time and they are amazing! Will be going back soon.

Just moved here from Cali and I've been searching for a good Brazilian wax.... My first time here but I think this may be the spot!! Very clean, professional and Dion was so nice. A little pricey but if my Brazilian is excellent, I don't mind. And it's walking distance from my lil casita. . So for now I'll be back in 5 weeks Dion. Thank you!! read more

I came to Solo Wax Center after finding a Groupon for it. I had only done a Brazilian wax once before, so I was a little apprehensive already. When I got there, I noticed that the place was small, but it was clean and well-kept. Dion, the owner of the place, greeted me and put me at ease right away. She's very welcoming that she calms your nerves automatically. The entire process was quick and comfortable. She conversed with me and did not make it feel as awkward as my last experience was. Even though the hard wax hurt a bit more than the soft wax I had before, the customer service here is what will be bringing me back again and again. A little extra pain is worth the quality service I receive from Dion and her team at Solo Wax Center. read more

Absolutely great wax! I was nervous because I just moved back home from out of town but Dion was amazing. She made me feel comfortable which is important. I barely even felt the wax. It was really quiet and pretty empty. Just one employee. She and the woman at the front desk were really kind and i appreciated it! I only got a wash and cut for $35, so I can't speak for much. For a quick simple cut, i would gladly return :) read more

I found my new wax place!!!!! The most painless wax I've ever had and GIRL I'm hairy af!!! I've been waxing for 3+ years and I dread my monthly wax because that shit is so fuckin painful but babyyyyy I've been DELIVERT! I used a Groupon for my first time and I'm so happy I found this gem. The icing on the cake? Dion is Dominican so we spent the whole session speaking in Spanish. Great distraction to minimize the already tolerable pain experience. Defffff recommend! read more

I have been coming to this salon for about two years. Dion is THE BEST at her skill and makes waxing a pleasant experience. Her warm spirit, gentleness and kind personality makes the time go by so quickly. She is always in a good mood and knows how to make you feel comfortable. Dion is very thorough! No hair will go unnoticed! Lol! I have been getting Brazilians for years and have had my fair share of horrible experiences, so I consider myself an expert reviewer in this subject---Dion provides quality every time! read more

This place is a couple of hours away from me, but it was worth the drive. She made sure I was comfortable and the service was very friendly, and she did a very thorough job! The wax didn't irritate my skin, I felt soft and smooth afterwards and the hair took a long while to grow back. Definitely coming here every time I need a waxing service. read more

I absolutely hate waxing, because the pain gets me to hell and back. and I have sensitive skin so prone to breakout and trauma. But this place is truly amazing, and the only place I immediately knew I wanted to come back to. I had been so scared by previous waxing experience and was scared coming in, but once I was done, I knew I would be back. She was soo quick and it was reasonably painless. Tried this place out using a groupon. Setting appt was easy. In and out and a flawless less painful Brazilian wax. I will be back!

Dion is amazing! She made me feel so comfortable! I was looking for a new waxer (closer to home) and great thing I stumbled upon her. I spoke to her on the phone and she had an availability for me right away! Morris avenue is usually traffic during the time of my appointment and was worried that I wouldn't make it on time. I called her and she assured me that it was ok to be a little late and not to rush! Most waxing places would've cancelled my appointment already! Her salon was clean and sanitary. She was quick and did an amazing job! I had to buy the packages because I knew I would be coming back to her. Looking forward to my next appointment with her! Even excited to try the other services her salon has to offer. Five stars for Dion!!! :) read more

Absolutely love Solo Wax Elizabeth. Went to Solo for my very first Brazilian wax and she made me feel very comfortable through my nervousness. Been going to Solo ever since. Kind and courteous treatment, and relatively pain free. I recommend Solo Wax Elizabeth to anyone who is considering getting waxed (for the first time or otherwise). I have called many times and she accommodates me with my crazy work schedule. Cudos Solo..... Keep up the great work! read more

I visited Solo Wax Center on August 15th, 2015, right before heading on vacation. I've been waxing for last 6 years and very well aware of the discomfort associated with getting a Brazilian! I am not sure what magical powers Dion has but this was the first time in 6 years that the pain was minimal! I was left in shocked and very happy with the cleanliness of the waxing area, since this is one of my main requirement when getting such an intimate procedure done. I will be seeing Dion again in a couple of weeks! read more

This business is a model for how every business should be run! Not only do the owner and her staff take ultimate pride and show dedication in all they do, but they treat their customers like family! I have been here three times now. Each time I am more and more satisfied with the service. The first time I went to the salon, I had my hair highlighted, glazed, cut and styled. Although I looked like a super model when I walked out, I was not completely satisfied with the cut because it was different from my original vision. I approached the owner about my dissatisfaction and she was extremely gracious in her approach. Her conflict resolution skills are top notch - the best I have ever seen! This definitely convinced me to try her service once more and let me know just how much she was really dedicated to her business and her craft! Upon returning to the salon, I was greeted warmly and friendly without any negative feelings about my original dissatisfaction. This cinched my appreciation for the establishment and definitely makes me WANT to come back again and again! Dion, Lilly and Magda are the embodiment of hospitality and warmth! I will be coming back here for all my beauty needs! They do an excellent job with all facets of their business - waxing, cut/color/style, manicure/pedicure. GREAT SALON and GREAT PEOPLE!!!! read more

I called to make an appointment for a spa pedicure and I was told they were very busy, but I can come in for a set time that day. Parking was hard to find in the area, but I managed to find a spot. When I arrived inside of the establishment, there were no other clients waiting. The place is small and has one pedicure/message chair. An attendant that was present took me right away. The spa pedicure was lackluster. She didn't massage my feet and rushed through the whole process including polishing my toes. Through it all, my toes looked good. However, this is not the place for me to go back to for a spa pedicure. read more

I was hesitant to got to a small salon who happened to do Brazilian waxing and let me tell you ... Solo Wax Center is NOTHING like that! The owner took her time and was very very welcoming. Not to mention that I waited until my next need appointment to write a review and I am even more happy about how much time was in between waxes. I'm officially a fan and going to experiment with other areas being so she has packages to do so at reasonable prices! read more

Never thought I would have such a blast getting waxed lol. Dion made the experience great. I usually get a landing strip, but this time I got a full Brazilian. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. Also, never tried hard wax. Definitely less painful than strip waxing. I took a friend with me and we are loving our results. I have been telling all my other friends about it too. There was no irritation to the wax. read more

I am a veteran when it comes to brazilian waxes. Great results but the road to getting there is usually brutal! That changed for me today! I could not believe how not painful this European wax was!!! I am so upset that I have been suffering until this point. I have tried multiple wax places and different applications(soft wax, sugaring, strips). This was great. Deon must have sprinkled some magic the wax she uses! I was floored! read more
